Weekend Trip to Gaia Farm Campground
I'm so lucky I found Gaia farms - the location is stunningly beautiful, the accommodations were cozy, Amanda was generous, friendly, kind, and I got to hold a baby goat! It was truly a special experience. I cannot recommend a visit enough and hope for the chance to return. We stayed in the yurt, enjoying privacy, quiet, comfort, and VIEWS! The pictures can't even capture how gorgeous the views were. We watched the sun set pink over the mountains and ocean, saw shooting stars all night, and then the clouds settled below us at dawn. It was perfect. Thank you for sharing this place with us, Amanda. <3

We had a small group come up to Nathan's ranch for my sister's birthday, and we rented out two of the glamping sites. We had so much fun, and it was awesome being away from the city with such amazing views. Seriously, the mountains were insane, and I don't think I've ever seen the Milky Way so clearly. Nathan was lovely, as are the animals—everyone should do the petting zoo. Definitely bring your earplugs if you're in Pink Pony #1 (the rooster is an early riser!) We'll be back for sure :)

We had such a great stay at Harmony’s Glamping! It’s incredible that you can feel completely tucked away in nature while being just 20 minutes from downtown Santa Barbara. The property is beautiful — surrounded by trees, with a creek running alongside the sites — and the yurts (we stayed in the Luxury Yurt + Creekside Fairy Dome) struck a perfect balance between comfort and adventure.
Harmony was an excellent host and made sure we felt well-prepared before arriving, especially with helpful notes about the drive in and things to bring. Definitely make sure you bring pots/pan and foil for cooking, and headlamps for light. Harmony had alot of the other essentials there for us such was, silverware, soap, sponge, shampoo, lighter, instant coffee, and paper towels.
This spot is ideal for anyone looking for an easy, nature-filled getaway without going too far off the grid. We left feeling refreshed and already talking about when we could come back!

My friends and I agreed that there’s no more beautiful place to play card games and cook Mac and cheese than this yurt! Amanda was the most kind and welcoming host. Don’t miss out on holding a baby goat or buying some goats milk lotion or soap, these additions really made our day! Such a special place, we feel so lucky to have stayed a night here. So worth it!

The yurt was in a stunning location and hosted by such a welcoming family. Amazing views and awesome rock formations, just up the mountain from a great beach. Beds were super comfy cozy, outdoor seating area great for taking it all in. Plus, baby goats!!! This was our very first Hipcamp experience and it was overall awesome. And the farm-made goat milk soap smells amazing.

3 nights at Harmony's Glamping
Harmony was very accommodating and even allowed for an upgrade to a different site. The drive down to the site is a little sketchy, but well worth it. We had the entire site to ourselves and was one of our best experiences camping/glamping ever. The dip in the water was refreshing and the nights were peaceful. We didn’t make it to the waterfall because of small dogs, but it didn’t bring our experience down. The ping pong and freezbie golf was a high light as well.

We had the absolute best time at Gaia farm! The yurt was gorgeous. It was spacious and had everything we needed. The views and smells of the land were spectacular. The animals were adorable and sweet. The food and products available for purchase were high quality. And Amanda was a spectacular host. She was always ready to help us and her kindness shined through. Her and her family’s love is visible across this beautiful property. All of us agreed that we had to come again. The perfect bachelorette weekend!

We stayed in the yurt and we absolutely loved it! The campground itself had plenty of things to do for all ages. The waterfall trail is a must! Harmony and her boyfriend were super helpful and even sent us a recommended packing list. This along with the maps, pdf guide & equipped campsite made the trip so much more easy to plan and relaxing. We booked during the week, lucked out and got to enjoy the entire campsite to ourselves! We will definitely be coming back but with friends this time. Thank you Harmony & team for this amazing campground!

Harmony has put so much loving care into the luxury yurt. We loved the comfy pillows and soft comforter, the well-thought out cooking area, and of course the totally cool propane heated shower, discreetly located up a hill and behind a gorgeous oak tree! The directions were clear and Harmony was responsive to our questions. Definitely recommended!

The whole property is fantastic. We stayed in the yurt and pretty much had the entire camp to ourselves.
One thing to note: bring some extra light with you. Harmony stocks the place with lanterns, and there are solar-powered string lights, but the location limits their charge somewhat, and their run time is a bit short.

2 nights at Harmony's Glamping
What a beautiful spot! Pretty incredible how secluded you can feel, just 20 minutes outside of town. My husband and I booked the yurt for three nights to rest and unplug. When we got there (and lugged our belongings to the yurt), we found it dirty with no bedding. I messaged harmony who quickly gave me a call to let me know she has upgraded us to the dome by the river. The space was awesome- decorated very nice, a private hot shower and best of all, right on the river with a hammock over the water where I spent several hours reading and listening to the sound of the water. There was no one else on the property so we had the place to ourselves!
Things I would have liked to have known beforehand:
- while we read the warnings about the road, we made it just fine in our Prius. Just go slow and you’ll be fine.
-there were no kitchen supplies in the yurt or the fairy dome (contrary to what the listing said) so make sure you bring pots, pans, oil, salt, pepper, plates, cups and silverware.
-the toilets are port-o-potties they haven’t been emptied in a looooong time.
-there are lots of critters! While unpacking we found a baby rattlesnake which made me fearful to let our dogs out of my sight! There were lots of (giant) spiders in the fairy dome and there were big mice running around the camp at night so make sure you bring everything inside. It is camping, after all!
- we weren’t able to get all the way to the waterfall with our three legged dog but the walk was beautiful.

Harmony was an excellent host, so far the best I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. She was very understanding and accommodating. Her property is beautiful and the waterfall was absolutely amazing and well worth the hike, however it’s definitely a more advanced hike. I will definitely be taking my kids back again.

This is a review for the Creekside Fairy Dome where we ended up staying. Harmony and her team are very friendly and accommodating! We were upgraded to stay at the fairy dome and it was AMAZING!! Our 8 year old daughter played in the creek all day! Very family friendly camp site. Clean dome room with very comfortable bed. Warm shower on site was very nice! We also splurged to do two nights with the wood fire hot tub…. Such a wonderful experience! A little bit of a harrowing drive down to the parking lot, but it was all awesomeness after Harmony let us into our Fairy Dome site! Thank you so much for the memories, and we are sure we will be coming back in the future!

Weekend Trip to Harmony's Glamping
Such an amazing get away. Best Glamping experience ever. We had a first timer camping and now all she wants to do is Glamp . The bathtub was our favorite experience. Be sure to bring your own pots and pans with silverware.. a very peaceful place and the waterfall was beautiful.

The place is very beautiful and peaceful. Harmony was kind and offered us an upgrade to the fairy dome, so this is a review for that site. Everything was clean and lovely to stay in and had a very comfortable bed and extra pillows. It was great having the shower outside in nature and being right next to the creek allowed us to fall asleep to serene running water. The drive down to the site is definitely one to prepare for with 4WD- seriously, don’t risk it with an oversized vehicle or only 2WD. The only downside would be that the portables were not cleaned after the weekend (we arrived Monday and stayed until Wednesday) and they were full and unbearably smelly to use. Would’ve been nice if they were emptied to not dread going into them to use the bathroom. Other than that, a great experience.

Nathan’s campsite had everything we needed. Everything was well maintained and clean. The beds were so comfortable. There were warm blankets provided so we didn’t get cold at night. We were able to take showers and wash our hands. The compost toilet was easy to use. It’s was so nice to sit under the stars. We stayed with our toddler, dog and cat. We did have to look out for rattlesnakes but luckily didn’t see any. Our toddler enjoyed seeing the farm animals. We had a great relaxing stay. We will definitely be back!

When to go
Carpinteria is a year-round destination, with pleasant, moderate weather throughout the year. If coming to surf, summer and fall are ideal, despite summertime getting major crowds. To see wildlife—notably sea and sea lions—come between December and May or visit when the tide is low, revealing tide pools full of colorful sea creatures.
