Valley of peace was a perfect place to unplug for the weekend! The host was very helpful and kind. He stopped by each day to see if we needed anything. He had plenty of fire wood to purchase. He has a beautiful piece of land and we enjoyed saying hi to the farm dogs! We got to hook up to the WiFi once but don’t depend on it for the whole time it’s a little spotty. I’d definitely download an offline map.

This was hands down the best camping ever!! We had such a great time. The creek was beautiful, the campsite so well groomed, and the host was so friendly. We did tent camping and enjoyed the fire pit, there was also a grill for our convenience. I would come back to this campsite or any other with this host again and again! Bonus was finding a cave, exploring the terrain and hearing the coyotes at night. Five stars!!

Sharita and her barnyard crew were fantastic hosts from the moment I arrived! I enjoyed camping amongst the chickens and ducks. The overall site was better than expected, with everything I needed. The porta potty was just a short walk way and was very clean, and I had access to a microwave and mini fridge, too. It was pretty rainy and wet during my stay, but Sharita was extremely kind and made sure I stayed dry. She even set up a painting lesson in the barn, and I had a fantastic time learning from her! I highly recommend staying at the barnyard and will do so again myself if I'm ever back in the area!

This place was beyond wonderful, and true to it's name - exceptionally peaceful. Karl and family were knowledgeable, gracious, and helpful hosts. We hadn't even left and my kids were already asking to come back.

It was a great spot with small falls nearby for sound, because what better way to sleep. There was a meteor shower the night we were there and it was spectacular for views of the sky! We were able to order firewood and have it at our campsite upon arrival. The host was also kind enough to bring us a table as well. No complaints and would definitely recommend

This place really is a Valley of peace! We enjoyed camping on the creek, fishing, exploring the land and the cave right next to our site! Walter was amazing and checked up on us once a day. We also love the mountainous area and Jasper is a really cute town. We didn't want to leave but will for sure be back to enjoy more of the views!

Weekend Trip to lightning Bug Hideaway

We loved the tiny off-grid house on this gorgeous property. It had everything we needed to enjoy a weekend getaway including a cozy bed, kitchen basics, and outdoor fire pit with chairs. We also enjoyed exploring the land and creek close by. Rob showed us around upon arriving. He was friendly and made us feel quite welcome.

Absolutely wonderful place to camp. Spring fed creek with crystal clear water, campsites right on the creek with fire rings. Potable water available and WiFi! It was so peaceful and quiet. A hidden gem for sure. Mr. Walter was so nice and checked in on me a couple of times to ensure I had everything I needed. I'm excited to return and explore the area more.

Quiet and peaceful. The sites are right beside a creek and they are clean and level. Walter is a great host and he will stop by to check on you every once in a while. We watched otters playing in the creek in the morning. This is on a working farm so expect to hear chickens, dogs and other livestock during the day and night. We will definitely be back.
