Johnny was a very responsive host and I Absolutely loved this spot!! It was so peaceful and has such a great view. It’s nice having steps to get down to the water too. I found myself thinking, if I owned this land I’d want to build a house here! So glad the owner is instead sharing the spot for others to enjoy too :)

This is absolutely a beautiful spot. I was right next to the water. There are 3 sites all with great views surrounded by beautiful trees. You won’t be disappointed if you stay here.

We enjoyed ourselves greatly! The campsite was clean and accessible, yet off the beaten path! The trails we gorgeous and the owners were kind and helpful! We will definitely be staying again abs for a longer period of time!

We loved this place. In our top 3 of campsites that we have ever visited. Loved the privacy, lot size, large firepit, being on the river, and so much firewood to use. We seen bald eagles, turtles, a owl, 2 fox, and so many different kinds of water birds along with many just general birds. I guarantee we will come back.

Great spot right on the Arkansas River! Quiet and peaceful, saw a few barges, it was a perfect getaway as we had it all to ourselves! Johnny and Cindy were very helpful and responsive.

Beautiful campsites. We ended up getting switched to #1 which was great. All of the sites were in great shape, #1 definitely had the best view of the river. Very quiet and safe. We used it as a base camp for riding motorcycles. Would stay here again!

The host was super nice, As me & fiance were arriving late, I called her bc we had trouble finding the campsite & she stayed on the phone with us in the middle of the night for like 10 min to make sure we made it okay. The land was secluded so nobody else but us and it was a nice part of the Arkansas River we never knew existed...nice place for bank fishing (just make sure to not get hung up on all the rocks)!

Wow what a gem! Passing through Arkansas and instead of going to a State Park I used Hip camp to find a place and I stumbled upon this one of a kind camping spots. Spend the extra and get site 1 - the view is the best, and look for the stairs down to the river. There is a gorge that you can explore and become a kid again, especially as the sun starts to dip. Make a fire, get a drink and wait for the amazing sunsets from all angles! Check out the local hikes like Bear cave park, or brave the waterfall hike (its a commitment!) or just sit and look at the river all day… its definitely one of my favorite places I’ve ever stopped at traveling across the US. If you’re within distance and you have the time (and your soul needs restoration) this is the place for you 👍

We enjoyed camping on Johnny’s land and the tranquility of being away from the busyness of life. It is close to Mount Nebo, Petit Jean State Parks for hiking and lakes for fishing. We enjoyed hearing an occasional barge but really enjoyed hearing over 20 different birds. Site 3 has heavier tree density which obscures a full view of the river but has ample shade, birds and rest. Johnny was fabulous to work with over a booking confusion. We recommend this tucked away gem and would return.

This was a beautiful and very peaceful spot! It was easy to find and access. I had a slight issue with the padlock and the host answered my call immediately and talked me through it. I only wish we could have stayed more than one night. We would stay here again!

I had a great night here—very peaceful and scenic. I was the only person at the site during my stay, which made it feel even more special. The view of the Arkansas River is fantastic, especially from the campsite that's farthest on the left—that one is definitely the best spot by far. No boats passed by while I was there, which I was kind of hoping for, but it was still a really relaxing experience. It was a little buggy, but my Thermacell took care of most of it. I was just passing through on the first night of a cross-country trip, so it was a quick stay, but everything went smoothly. I'm really glad I found this place.
