Activities and amenities include swimming, boating, fishing, hiking, a 6-acre foraging field and 9-hole Frisbee golf course, bouldering, zen/meditation deck, climbing, psicobloc and more outdoor pursuits than one has time to pursue. Children can enjoy the Ninja rope course with zipline, slackline, and rope swing and petting Biscuit and Buttercup – our favored Kunekune forest pigs. And, Woolly Hollow State Park, Cove Creek Natural Heritage Area, Persimmon Ridge Resort and Greer's Ferry Lake are a short drive away.

And although we lie at the edge of civilization we have good cell phone service and water hydrants and electrical outlets for recharging phones and the such are freely available for our guests to use. From March through November hot water showers are also freely available.

Things like poison ivy, seed ticks, chiggers, ants, spiders, snakes, wildlife...Always check with the host on the app before arrival. Arriving when it gets dark will mean you will be setting up in the dark unless you have brought lanterns. If you've booked a site, the gate will be open for you, but you will be on your own. The camp host from April 27 - July 1st is on call for guests needs, but is not on site. Checkout time is by Noon. Check in is at 2:00 pm. My husband, dog, and I only stayed here for a night but wish we could’ve stayed for longer! They’ve got a great setup right in Petit Jean and are very accommodating and friendly. The access to the farm store and bathrooms is a huge plus as well. It’s right off a road but there is hardly any traffic on it.

Absolutely wonderful camping experience on Ed's land. The most unique part was the camping area was right next to the barn with a small community farmers market. We stayed up late one night with a hankering for ice cream and went right over and bought some. The bathrooms were nice and always clean. We were Tall trees over head, nice amount of space that felt relatively private with trees and fences on pretty much all sides besides the occasional car that drove on the road next to the site.

Such a lovely place :) i was passing through and needed a place to camp for the night, and the orchard was perfect. Ed gave me a tour when I arrived and made sure I was all set up. I’d recommend checking out the state forest for some good hikes!

We LOVED our stay!! It was quiet, great for star gazing, clean bathrooms and the farmers market was so fun to browse around. My daughter was in love with the in ground trampoline. We camped next to another couple but it was still very private. We can't wait to stay here again and spend some time on Petit Jean Mountain!

We loved camping at Michelle’s land Rocky Creek Campground! The grounds were immaculate and the views were simply spectacular. From the mountains with river view, to the lake view, to the trails. Something for your eyes!!! Michelle and her husband were very nice and welcoming with us. Michelle greeted us at the entry and showed us around.
The amenities were great! We camp with a 13ft travel trailer and usually set up our own bathroom/showering tent. However we found the outhouse very charming and fell in love with the outdoor showering rooms! Very quiet and peaceful campsite. Great for star gazing. Campsites are spacious and the lake is something to behold.
We cannot wait to book again and spend more time!!!

Michelle was incredible. This is the second time I’ve been here and both have been an incredible experience. She went out of her way multiple times to make sure we had what we needed. She even took my kids to go see and pet their sheep. Highly recommended for families or even singles.

Quiet place to sleep and close enough to Pettit Jean to spend your day at the park. If you go in the summer watch out for ants at the fire pit! Ed made us feel very welcome and being able to grab a steak and veg from the market would have been ideal!

Ed is great. Very thoughtful with tons of information. I felt like I found the real stardew valley. Ed and his community come together to have a market. Always open but it sounds like it is packed on the weekends with all sorts of local food. I stayed on a Thursday so the market still had stuff but Ed said he was busy getting things ready for the weekend. The place is very private. I only heard a couple of cars from the road. I was the only guest that night. Will definitely be back anytime off of I-40.

We enjoyed our time at Camp Toasty! We were the only ones in the area. This is truly a DIY camp experience. We enjoyed fishing in the river, playing on the playground and hiking around. We plan to return in the future. This was our first Hip Camp experience. We did not receive the bundles of firewood nor could we access the bin at the gate so will likely bring our own next time. Thank you for hosting a wonderful and relaxing experience. On to more adventures!
