Luxury Eco Glamping Near Sedona

1 site · Lodging6 acres · Cottonwood, AZ
Soak up the Arizona sun, shower under the stars, witness breathtaking sunsets, and enjoy a luxurious, eco-conscious "glamping" experience you'll remember forever! Relax and restore on our six-acre ranch right at the edge of civilization. Let your soul wander through open desert views, or jump on the highway and be hiking the Sedona red rocks in just 17 minutes. Chef up a meal in the outdoor kitchen or sip fine wine in old town Cottonwood, just five minutes away. Adventure awaits... The space Our Cliffrose canvas "glamping" tent provides a unique opportunity to enjoy camping in nature without sacrificing the comforts of home. Sip coffee under the covered gazebo, breathe fresh air blowing through the open door, and sleep with nature on comfy cots. The tent is furnished with two deluxe cots, cozy blankets, pillows, and a cowhide rug. The cots are outfitted with comfy memory foam padding, a sheet, a pillow, and warm sleeping bags. We provide a propane heater to take the chill off on cool nights. It's the easiest, most comfortable camping ever! Our eco-friendly experience is designed with the health-conscious guest in mind. Everything is natural and organic—from the shampoo to the salt to the coffee. We use only green, non-toxic cleaning products. A private gazebo with picnic table is situated steps from the tent, providing a respite from the sun and a place to hang out, relax, sip coffee, and enjoy meals. WHO IS THIS FOR? * A romantic couple getaway. * Adventurous folks who want to try something new. * Travelers who want to try camping but don't want to go without all the comforts * Nature-based folks who want to see stars, breathe fresh air, and see big views. * Hikers, bikers, and site seers who want to be very close to Sedona but don't want to stay right in the hustle and bustle and its associated high costs. WHAT TO EXPECT ON THE LAND: Our property borders 10K acres of the national forest, but the tent is not in the middle of nowhere. We are at the edge of a residential neighborhood, and Mingus Ave is 1/2 mile away. This provides a unique experience of living close to nature, yet it is conveniently only 17 minutes to Sedona and 5 minutes to Old Town Cottonwood. Expect to see a couple of other houses, hear some traffic noise, and possibly hear a few barking dogs. If you're a light sleeper, there is a sound machine and ear plugs available. OFF GRID: The tent itself is "off-grid". The space is lit by battery and solar-powered lights. The kitchen space has the power to charge your devices. There are no outlets in the tent. WIFI is unavailable in the space, as we encourage our guests to connect to nature. However, most providers offer good cell phone coverage. The tent is heated by a propane heater, but there is no air conditioning. It is very comfortable camping, but it is still camping! KITCHEN: ***The kitchen/bathhouse and porta-potty are shared spaces with one other tent. There is plenty of privacy at your tent if you desire or make friends with like-minded travelers.*** The outdoor kitchen is fully equipped with hot and cold running water, a gas grill, a cook stove, and all the necessary tools to prepare a delicious meal in the great outdoors. Organic coffee, herbal tea, organic olive oil, raw honey, Himalayan salt, and pepper are also provided. BATH / SHOWER: Enjoy an inspiring, heated outdoor shower in pure well water, complete with privacy walls that still let the sun and stars shine through. The spacious bathroom includes a hot/cold water sink and a spacious changing area. We have a regularly cleaned and sanitized porta-potty for the toilet arrangements. WEATHER & THE ELEMENTS: During the summer months, the tent gets quite hot inside. Most people are out exploring during this time, so it's not a big deal. We can share some lovely creekside swimming spots for cooling dips. The temps cool quickly at sundown, and the tent gets comfortable immediately. In the winter, temperatures can dip below freezing. Make sure to bring a heavy sleeping bag (or borrow ours) and warm clothes for hanging out by the fire or in the kitchen. PACKING LIST: * Flashlight or headlamp * Sleeping bag or bedding (or borrow ours at no cost) * Cooler and ice * Wood for fire pit (unless there is a fire ban in the summer) HIKE & BIKE OUT THE BACK DOOR: If you have a desire to explore, there is an epic hiking and mountain biking trail network that can be accessed right from the property. Contact us when you're here, and we can show you where to go. IS THIS A FAMILY ADVENTURE? If you bring kids or a third guest, we can provide you with a thick, comfortable sleeping pad or cot. You are also welcome to set up a separate tent for the kids.
