We are a small Homestead in Parrish, Alabama. We have lots of silkie and large chickens as well as 8 nigerian dawrf goats and two adorable mini cows. All of the animals are friendly and enjoy being pet. We have a large fire pit in the back property for campfires and fun as well as a composting outhouse for guest use. Come pet the animals and have a nice campfire while looking up at the stars!

This area was called Boot's Bottoms growing up and the name stuck. There is a rock wall close to the campsite that was a old grist mill site. Plenty of wildlife, bird watching, wildflowers and creek walking. Some old ATV trails for hiking as well. Very remote and quite! Learn more about this land: Setup camp on the banks of Dorsey creek in Bug Tussle. Wooded area with shade in the warm season. Flat ground for tents or plenty of trees for hammocks. Easy access for vehicles directly to the campsite. Fire ring with grill grates present for cowboy cooking. Peaceful with plenty of opportunity to see wildlife. Primitive toilet present. I really enjoyed this campsite. The drive in was very straightforward (especially if you watch the YouTube video). The creek was low since we haven't had any rain lately. It was extremely private- some occasional far off car noise and dogs barking but otherwise a wonderful spot in the woods. Plenty of room for multiple tents or vehicles. Thanks for sharing it with us.

This was our 3rd or 4th trip to the site. It's a beautiful location and the road in is an (unmarked and unlabeled) adventure. I would ignore Chelsea H's advice- she clearly knows how to drive her 2wd CRV! We had a lifted Tundra in our group that took on so much mud it did an alternator on the way home and we had to have it towed....

Due to a family emergency I did not stay at this location. I messaged the owner the morning I was supposed to arrive and let her know. She responded right away and suggested I cancel on the app. I never found the option since it was past the time frame allowed. I look forward to rescheduling a stay as soon I am able.

One of the best campsites my husband and I have stayed at for sure! Absolutely beautiful and private, and we’d defiantly stay there again. We did get flooded out though so if you are staying during the rainy season I’d keep an eye on the creek but other than that it was the perfect site.

The drive to the site was a fun little adventure—definitely muddy and rutted, but totally expected with the recent rain. We made it just fine in a 2WD Honda CR-V; just gotta know how to drive 😎. Once there, the views were absolutely incredible! We cooked up steak and potatoes, made s'mores by the fire, and just soaked it all in. Heard a bobcat overnight, which was wild, but nothing came close to camp. There was plenty of brush and dead limbs around for firewood, and the fire area even had stones already set up. We brought along our 6-month-old pup and camped with a tent and hammock—had the best time. Cozy, scenic, and just enough wilderness to feel like a real escape. Highly recommend if you’re up for a bit of rugged fun!

Super fun spot to camp, extremely private & tucked away. Be mindful of your tent placement if rain is in the forecast as half the campsite floods 2-3” of water (found out the hard way!) haha! Makes for a better story later on. The creek is amazing & the drive down into the site is so fun.

Tent camping at Crystal’s beautiful little farm was just right for me as a woman traveling alone. The camping area was very private and at the back of the property but felt safe and secure because Crystal and her charming husband live at the front of the property and anyone coming in has to pass right close to their house. Mr Crystal patiently guided me to a trail for hiking behind the property and I had a short hike through some stunningly beautiful woods and meadows before sundown. Sunset was gorgeous. I could see it through the trees from my tent. Kids will definitely enjoy the friendly and adorable animals.
