Pastoral and serene upon a vast expanse of Kentucky Bluegrass bordered by the woods on one side and a pond as the centerpiece. My first primitive campsite ever upon a verdant carpet of grass that felt good on my bare feet. It’s good firewood and so convenient. The “sort of” outhouse is serviceable and free from that odor. Dogs can run free here and mine really enjoyed it. Dustin is a great host, congenial and accommodating. I’ll come again when I’m back in the Louisville area.

Beautiful location and about 10 min from Jim Beam! Turning down the driveway is a little tight (we have a 2500 truck), but take your time and it's all good. Also great they had a trash bin! Great place to stay!

Dustin was a fantastic host. He really made us feel at home. I would 100% recommend staying here. It’s a fantastic pond front campsite. We used it for a guys trip while visiting the local distilleries.

Dustin was a great host. The site was quiet and private, but we were near Bardstown and some of the attractions that brought us to the area. Would definitely go back again.

Quiet Spot/Unlevel Ground

The space was nice and quiet. However, a lot smaller then the pictures depict. We only have a 16' basecamp travel trailer and making the left turn out of the small driveway was tough with the tree branches (not to scratch the trailer). I wouldn't want to be camping in a tent out there and have to go potty. The outhouse type building didn't have any toilet paper or even something to poop into. It was basically a chair with a hole in it but no hole in the ground or anything to catch it (weird!) and I am not squeamish about using the bathroom in the woods - setup just seemed weird to me. I wish I had taken a picture. Also note that the area around the small pond is very unlevel - so if you're in a camper, trailer or van you will need leveling blocks.

Easy to find. Simple pull up and set up. Dustin is super nice. Even helped us jump our car that had a dead battery! Haha. We had plenty of room for a few tents, a whole family, and our pup to run around. Potty is primitive camping so either be prepared for that or will have to take a good drive down the road for number 2s. :)

I had a great stay at Dustin’s! It was secluded and I felt very safe at all times. Lots of animals around. Dustin was also very friendly. I would recommend staying here.

This place was great! It’s very quiet except for the expected cows mowing and roosters calling out in the morning. The stars were amazing. The sunrise/sunsets around the pond were lovely. Dustin is an incredibly nice host. He helped get us a grate for grilling over the fire pit, and hung out with us for a bit one of the evenings. His dog, Kevin is the cutest and most cuddly dog ever. She came to say hi to us every evening and morning.

The site was pretty and well maintained with a fire pit, picnic table and garbage can. There is no privacy between the sites, which are pretty close together, but if you are not looking for seclusion, this is a great spot.

Just an overall great experience! We were in town for the Bourbon Festival and wanted a nice quiet place to rest at night. This was the perfect spot to kick up our feet. Tranquil, charming, and peaceful!

Beautiful land. East access to fire pits and garbage can. Convenient to town but still away from it all. Awesome star gazing if the skies are clear. Bring a spinning rod, I caught 5 bass in about an hour.

Very beautiful & private… NO light pollution, a perfect spot in the City for stargazers. Bring Tiki Torches / Anti-Bug Gear for exterior of the tent. 10/10

Easy spot, just drove in, set up, and left. Never saw anyone which was nice because we were tired and it was nice not to have a meet and greet.
