Stone Mill was originally a private Zoo, run by The Birds. The bath house was once the Vet Clinic and the cages near the bath house were where the Lemurs lived. The Main field is where the zebras lived. The animals are all gone but the beauty of the place remains. We have 6 RV sites and 5 designated tent sites, in a valley between 2 big ridges in the North Ga Mountains. We are far away from most everything. Cell Phone coverage is poor to none, no internet, we are 30 min to closest gas station, restaurant and grocery store. We recommend stocking up before you arrive. We do have hiking trails, OHV trails, a stocked lake for fishing and swimming on the property. We are NOT a campground, RV park, Wedding venue or OHV park. This is home to The Birds, The Baxters, The Pentons and The Harrells and we are happy to share it with you. We are very dog friendly. Please pick up after your pets. Just a reminder, we are very far back in the country on a gravel road. Limited to no cell service, no Wifi, and we are about 30 min to stores, restaurants, and gas. We recommend you come prepared as you really won't want to leave Do NOT trust your GPS. They have not found us yet. Most of the time GPS will send you to the wrong place. Make sure you read and screenshot the directions once you book as you won't have service once you get to the gate. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU CAMP IN THE SPOT YOU RESERVED. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT AS OTHER GUESTS MAYBE ARRIVING AFTER YOU. If you have any questions about said spot, please ask. WE DO NOT HAVE TRASH SERVICE ON THE PROPERTY. PACK IN AND PACK OUT! YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR LEAVING YOUR TRASH BEHIND. Welcome!

Such a wonderful and awe inspiring property. My family and I are just so grateful that the owners have offered to share their land through HipCamp. There is space to spread-out, well suited amenities, endless activities, peace and quiet -- all the things!! We treaded lightly and left no trace -- in full hope of being able & invited to book again!!! Highly, highly recommened.
