Riverside Camping
Amazing place hidden in the mountains. Short walk to the river. Water was crystal clear and fresh. Would definitely be back for a longer stay!

The camp ground and swimming were superb. Being the end of January it was not crowded. We stayed a week and found it hard to leave. 10 out of 10.👍 Unfortunately the owners live across the road so a bit of noise from mowers and chain saws but the most anoying was one of their dogs that barked a lot. 😟

Great spot on the river away from Christmas crowds, although a large group booking did fill the place just before NY. Half hour drive to Tumut for supplies. Lower sites are preferred as they are level, upper more challenging for camping and vans. 2 drop loos and pizza oven. Would be the ultimate place to spend a week relaxing out of peak time but still very enjoyable

Great location, camped right next to river. Nice people too.
However, the toilets were dirty and the whole place was crowded. Crowded is perhaps an overstatement but from the add we expected 5 tents/RVs. This is not the case. It was more like 20. Just felt that we had been mislead.

Arrived, no one around but found camping location. No one did come down during our stay to check but that was fine. Beautiful restful location and a great digital detox. Loved the flowing river and night time fires. Great value! One recommendation - put a sign at road number that reception bay is next drive down. A few dogs as other reviews have mentioned - but well behaved and friendly. Quick drive to Tumut if reception or ice is needed. Big tick from us.

Such a beautiful quiet and tranquil place to be - the Elm Tree grove was just exquisite. Patrick (co-owner) was so helpful. Such a great natural part of the world.

We loved it so much! Beautiful peaceful setting, overlooking the gorgeous river. We enjoyed campfires, swims in the river and stargazing at night. Easy 30 mins drive to the quaint town of Tumut.

Incredible scenery and river, the communal covered area provides great shelter and bbq facilities.
Ben was welcoming and stopped past to assure we had everything we needed and suggested a swim in the river.
The location is beautiful not to mention cute resident doggos!

Absolutely beautiful spot, only issue, there was 4 or 5 local dogs that jumped on our tables, ( we lost our last loaf of bread) dug through our rubbish and then their poo! We seen them at other camps doing the same thing when the people werent around as well, but Absolutely beautiful location 😍 , we will be back

Terrible, We moved out after 1 might as in the morning Ben was in our room turning off the gas heater, he then added we could only have a 3 minute shower due to him not wanting to pay for the gas. There were bear mattresses and little cockroaches on arrival.

The Wilderness Retreat
My friends and I had a great winter get away in a simple, cosy cabin with a roaring fireplace inside and outside. We loved hanging with Brandy the dog, and short bike ride through the mountains.

An amazing experience. Beautiful place right next to a river. Plenty of space so that you are not on top of other campers. Hiking on your doorstep. The hosts were really friendly. Told us to pick our own spot, then left us to explore on our own. We loved it and can't wait to return.

Absolutely fantastic setup. Lots of space and sheltered from with wind. Campfires set up near the river. We went swimming in the 7°C river (end April).
