Description

While its name might conjure up images from the foothills of a small town in a JRR Tolkien novel, Hobbs Campground is anything but Shire-like—it’s expansive, to say the least. Nestled within Arkansas’ largest state park, the park’s like-named campground is strung together by just a few campsites that line Pigeon Roost Trail.

There are a few primitive campsites on the pigeon roost trail. Roughly a 5 mile hike in, be sure to bring plenty of water or a filter. You can reach these via the lake as well if you enjoy kayaking.
