Nestled near Arlington, our 75-acre property spans both new and old forest, featuring a salmon-filled creek and a large beaver pond—all set against the dramatic backdrop of a 1,200-foot sheer rocky cliff crowned with old-growth trees. Since its purchase in 1958 as a family retreat, this land has grown into much more than a getaway. It has become a place for relaxation, adventure, and connection with nature—a private forest for family and friends to enjoy. Over the years, the family has adopted forest stewardship and sustainable timber harvesting practices, while also developing campsites, trails, hosting rock concerts, and even producing wine. What began as a simple escape has evolved into something extraordinary: a tree farm that successfully balances nearly every goal a forest landowner could imagine—timber production, wildlife habitat, natural beauty, recreation, and forest resilience. Valhalla embodies all of this with harmony. We think you will feel the unusual vibe.

Sleep among the giants at this totally cool secluded shelter campsite next to Jordan Creek. Accessed across a new footbridge, this campsite offers everything. Shades of emerald greens with lush moss and ferns in a NW forest of Maple, Fir, Cedar and Hemlock. A 10x10 shelter, fire circle , spring water faucet and picnic table. Recently completed, the shelter and footbridge were constructed from our trees sawn down the road and other materials and wood from our 100 acre tree farm. You will camp among 80 yr old Fir, Cedar are and Hemlock recently thinned three years ago and 30 ft from the bubbling creek. Three level tent sites are ready to go along with a picnic table, outhouse  and cedar "rounds" for seats around the fire. It's a short walk from the parking area and we even provide a wheelbarrow to move your stuff.

Drive-Up Tent site with a new 10x10 picnic shelter and all the amenities. Fire circle, spring-fed water faucet and outhouse. Owners will even start you out with a box of firewood. Located at the base of a hill with stunning views of Deer Mountain and Jordan Peak.  A small stand of 80 yr old cedars offers afternoon shade. A 5 acre active beaver pond is just below the site. This is what people are talking about! A rare gem just an hour drive from Seattle. This newly built campsite is located in the middle of a 100 acre tree farm. Not Christmas trees but 30-80 year old trees grown for lumber. This place looks like a big park. Listen to the owls at night and and watch the local falcons and hawks living on the nearby vertical cliffs. The area around the tent site was logged in 2018 and replanted with 1,300 red cedar seedlings. Hike the extensive trails and enjoy a completely private camping experience.

Pull your Camper or RV into this small peninsula between Jordan Creek and Popcorn Pond. Mown grass and your own trail system to Popcorn Pond make this a private and inviting spot, complete with a spring water faucet and fire circle. This is an ideal pull-in or back-in spot with easy in and easy out access. The site is a triangle 50' x 50' x 50'. Half gravel and half grass. The site is accessed by a 1/2 mile 12' wide gravel road from the front of the 75-acre property. The area is accessed through two gates with video and is extremely secure. Please haul out your garbage. Please note that for tenters, you need to bring your portapotti if you want to camp at this site. Sorry, it's a hipcamp rule. Buy a folding one at your favorite sports store.

A perfect place for a getaway for a couple and a few friends. Beautiful lighting, clean and crisp decor, this Cabin offers a refreshing yet rustic accommodation.  This cabin meets anyone's demand for rest and relaxation. It has all the amenities, a new pit toilet with interior LED lighting, private outdoor propane insta-hot shower and totally cool adjacent tent site with picnic table and fire circle. Located in a stand of recently thinned 80 yr old firs and backed by the stunning vertical cliffs of Deer Mountain this place is a must see. One room off-grid solar-powered cabin with huge bunk bed. Propane heater in the corner for heat, looks like a fireplace.  Also a one burner propane stove, countertop for fixing meals and table and chairs. All LED lighting. Solar panels on roof charge batteries for inside lighting, a porch light, underground wiring to the outhouse. Ham radio antenna and socket next to the table for shortwave fun. Sit on the deck or lounge around the fire, hike our many trails. Invite some friends along to camp in the adjacent tent site and share the amenities.

Here's a newly constructed 12x12 A-Frame snuggled onto a sidehill among new ten-foot-tall Cedar trees. The A-Frame on Huckleberry Hill is an inviting space and has just the right balance of comfort and off-the-grid living. It is solar-powered and heated with a wood stove. It has all the amenities including a composting toilet, unique LED lighting, a sleeping loft with two mattresses, USB outlets, a built-in icebox, a stereo, and a propane cooktop. In the spring, summer, and fall there's a hot shower and water piped to the kitchen. Built-in CO /Propane alarm and even a shortwave radio hookup! The AFrame was constructed by a master carpenter over the last four years mostly from repurposed building materials and lumber milled from trees grown on our tree farm. Please Note: You must be able to build a fire in the woodstove for your heat source. You should not rent this cabin if you have never built a fire in a wood stove. A crate of firewood and starting materials are included in the cost of the rental. Please Note: You must be able to climb and descend an 8-foot ladder to the sleeping loft. Or you could pull down the generous 4" memory foam pads and sleep on the floor. Please Note: The AFrame is on a hill with a manicured gravel road. There are two generous switchbacks. Not all cars can navigate the road, especially lowered or sports cars. If you think you cannot drive up to the cabin, park at the bottom. It is a five-minute walk from the bottom of the hill. We provide normal cooking items including camp-style pots and pans, skillets, silverware, perk coffeepot, and soap. Due to possible freezing conditions, we must have the water off from nov-march. During this time, you must bring your water but we provide refills from our spring water faucet beside the road as you enter the forest. There is even ample room for a tent or two.

This is our second time and we stayed at the A-frame and had a fantastic time with the pups. Everything was easy to get to, wonderful view, and trails to walk on with no problem!

We had a wonderful time camping with our friends and toddlers! The campsite was lovely, and the fresh flowers on the picnic table were such a thoughtful touch. The cabin’s bunk bed was comfortable, although it is a twin-over-twin, so keep that in mind when planning sleeping arrangements. A few things to be aware of: the gravel road into the site had lots of low branches. If you are driving a sedan or SUV, it should be fine, but our camper van got a few small scratches on the way in and out. The thorny plants growing throughout the campsite also made it difficult for both adults and toddlers to move around safely - our toddler ended up with a palm full of small thorns after tripping. The narrow road and tight parking area also made it challenging to maneuver multiple cars. Overall, we had a great time and appreciated the lovely setting. We hope the lower branches along the road and overgrown thorny bushes can be better maintained in the future to make the site more comfortable and toddler-friendly!

This was our third stay and the first time using the wood stove. It was super cozy in the rain and all the trees were bright green from the rain. We watched a storm roll in at sunset. Perfect romantic getaway!

The part I loved most was the small flat area under the grove of tress next to the driveway. It is a, literally, cool spot during the heat of the day. The water is cool and refreshing as well. Highly recommend.

The Hytte cabin at Valhalla was absolutely amazing - I stayed two nights with my small doggos and we could not have had a better time. Comfy bed, great deck, lovely well maintained trails, and the most beautiful scenery all around; it could not be more perfect. I cannot wait to go back!

Our 2nd time back. The grounds are beautiful and very peaceful. The camp sites are spaced very well so felt pretty private. There was only one other camper there at the time and we only saw them in passing. This particular camp site was perfect for our new doggo on her first camping outing without fear of her getting distracted by other campers. Love the creek and bridge that runs through it. Dreamy! It is a short walk from parking to the camp site, the supplied wheel barrow helps a lot! The bridge is rough hewn logs so gotta watch your feet going over. Will be back again!

Another great camping weekend at Valhalla! It was our toddlers first tent camping trip and it was the perfect spot! The new upgraded outhouse was a welcome change :). 10/10 would recommend this site for a safe, secluded, peaceful and beautiful retreat. Will be back.

My dog and I stayed in the cabin, it was a wonderful night! The directions from Dave were very clear, had no problem finding it. I felt very safe here, as there are 2 gates to go through, had the best sleep in a long time! It's a very big, beautiful property with so many hiking trails to explore, We loved it! The cabin was perfect, nice to have running water!

I love coming to Valhalla tree farm. This is my fourth annual trip and it only gets better each year. Dave provides everything I need: a well maintained (and recently rebuilt!) outhouse, potable water, trash can, picnic table, fire pit, and a covered area in case of rain. There are also lots of tree stumps that function as ad-hoc tables. As a solo camper, security and safety is important to me, and I always feel incredibly comfortable here. There are two coded gates and everyone else who camps here is respectful. My dog explores off-leash and there is a ton of land and trails and ponds for him to sniff out. Strongly recommend this site—it’s not too far from Seattle and close to great hiking spots like Lime Kiln Trail and Lake 22. Thanks as always Dave!

Popcorn Pond RV Camp
Generous space for tenting at Popcorn Pond. Far enough for minimal mosquitoes. Perfect spots to view the large pond from hammocks. Access to the road and trails for venturing. The rock face mountain is a real treat. The stave chapel was quaint. Definitely would love to try the A-Frame cabin some time. Dave’s communication was excellent. A true gem for getting peace and quiet. And not too far from Granite Falls for pizza or breakfast at Stilly’s in Arlington. Perfect all around.

Wow! Wow! Wow! We stayed in the Hytte, and it was truly incredible. It is so quiet and beautiful back there, and you truly feel like you have your own campground. The Hytte is picturesque and comfortable. Having a running sink, your own toilet, and a hot outdoor shower, all just really seals the deal. Dave was very responsive when I had questions, and sent us very clear and timely info for the trip. We live a long ways away, but are already scheming how to get back out to Valhalla again.

Location is a great Basecamp for hiking or stay on property and explore/ relax. A-frame was comfortable for 3 adult sized people. We pulled one foam pad down to the bottom floor for semi privacy. Bathroom is a tight fit for tall people but nice to hang a clean indoor option.

This was my husband and I’s first time camping together, and we couldn’t have picked a more perfect spot! We had so much fun exploring the beautiful property with our dog. We even found the pond, which was absolutely stunning. Dave was very welcoming and made us feel right at home. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a peaceful camping getaway!

fantastic experience - campsite is very flat and clean, and very spacious for groups rolling in with tents. picnic table, chairs, fire pit, and a water source with solid pressure make it an easy spot to settle in. neighbors are far enough where you could barely hear them but still see them on occasion so you don't feel completely isolated. the walking trails are clearly marked and pleasant even for little kiddos. nighttime was super peaceful and gorgeous, with good views of the sky and ambient sounds of nature. when you leave you will want to leave it spotless for the next group! The host Dave is amazing. very responsive, and also accommodated all of my requests in a very positive manner. I love the property and definitely will be back even if I don't get this specific site. the no bathroom thing does pose an additional step to plan for, but nothing a few bucks at Amazon can't overcome.

Dave was a wonderful host and has created many special experiences on his land. Our spot was camping on “huckleberry hill” which offered views of the nearby ridge, a permanent cover for sun or rain, a magical tent spot, potable water in the site and a pit toilet. Nearby on his land were many many walks on the 75 acre property including a sweet pond with melodic resident bullfrogs. He left some beautiful red dahlias because they were in bloom and we feasted on the blackberries all around. It’s 10m to Arlington and sweet restaurants, coffee shops and a summer market on Saturdays. Nearby River Meadows park offers walks and floating (BYOT) and the country charm conservation park was lovely for walking. Not far from popular hikes like Heather Lake and Mt Pilchuk. Quiet, beautiful and thoughtfully created. Thanks so much Dave!! We’ll be back.

Valhalla with a little Shangri-La, to boot! Peaceful, stunningly beautiful environs with a well appointed and curated spot. Can’t recommend Dave’s cabin spot for a group camp. Lots of “wows” were said by our party, all weekend long.
