It was very primitive and very secluded. I loved that! Alex was a bright and informative person. He answered all my questions and went out of his way to make sure my stay was excellent. I didn't get a chance to explore the property as much as I wanted, but there is alot to explore. It is also a work in progress. I would suggest this property to anyone. I will be returning to this property again, probably sooner rather than later.

Alex has cleared a nice walking trail into the deep woods that is really scenic. I camped at the top of the hill since I think it would take a 4 wheel dive to get back up from the bottom. I would recommend ear plugs because of the neighbor's competitive crowing đ roosters! I just turned a podcast on and went right back to sleep. Verizon cellular was acceptable with one to two bars. This is a real find for NOVA! Thanks again, Alex, for a second stay.

Alex's site is just as described. It is primitive camping and don't expect to drive to the site unless you have a solid offload 4 wheel drive. It is steep! However, it is not a long walk from a good car parking site. This is likely the only camp site I could find in NOVA. Alex was quick to respond and precise in directions.

Alexâs land was exactly what I was looking for, quiet, private, and rustic. Having the whole property to ourselves made it feel like true backwoods camping but still close to local parks and spots like Potomac Point Vineyard. Alex was responsive and helpful, but also gave us space to enjoy the land on our own terms. Thereâs plenty of firewood and flat spots for tents, plus wildlife everywhere which made it feel alive and natural.
One note for future campers: the hill leading further back on the property is steep and best left to true 4x4 vehicles. If youâre in a standard car or SUV, stick to the gravel parking area up front, it works perfectly.
This is definitely a primitive spot (no bathrooms, water, or amenities), so come prepared, but thatâs part of the charm. If youâre looking for privacy, campfires, and a genuine outdoor experience, this place is perfect.

As of this writing: there is a flat spot which looks to be a wood splitting operation when not occupied, along a quiet driveway. OR there is this really nice hollow down a short road or trail thatâs really pretty and isolated. Warning: as of now that road is very treacherous, I (and a few would be rescuers) needed a serious rescue to get back up. Maybe best for tent camping for now. Alex is an awesome host.

Alex was very relaxed about check in, and not over my shoulder while camping. For privacy, 10/10. Make sure to pack in and out, and bring your own water DC there are no amenities at this rustic site!

I feel honored to see this space before the owner is able to fully layout his plans. If you are looking for 100% primitive camping this is your spot. As per the owners suggestion I hiked in about 10 minutes from parking and found a few good trees to hang from. The night was scary for this first time solo camper because I didn't know what I was hearing or what might show up lmao! However with a bear vault and the Good Lord I survived, and now feel like an official solo camper! 𤣠Directions were spot on, owner was responsive and available if needed. Overall it was a great night of growth and some good ol wilderness camping!
For future reference I learned they have spotted most wooded animals ie. deer, raccoons, coyotes all healthy, and aren't too sure but probably have a black bear out there. They also plan to set up a few designated camping spots so definitely keep an eye on this one!
