Loved how wild and peaceful this campsite is. We had a whole wildflower meadow to ourselves! Beautiful countryside, great hosts, we'll be back!

Weekend Trip to Goren Farm

We stayed in the old moor hideaway pitch, which was lovely and private, looking over one of the beautiful wildflower meadows. The pitch has cows nearby, which we liked but if you’re not a fan of cows it might not be the pitch for you. Lots of lovely butterflies and birds to watch. Compost loos, sink and showers all good, fire pit provided. Checking in wasn’t super smooth as the host hadn’t received a notification that we’d booked on here, but they were friendly and welcoming when we did arrive. Website said there was wheelbarrows to transport stuff up to the plot because you couldn’t drive the whole way but there wasn’t any. There was also a recycling sign recommending burning light plastics in your firepit… not particularly good for the environment or your health breathing in the fumes… Despite these little things I would visit again, lovely spot.

What a lovely delight to find such a peaceful and beautiful camping pitch . We camped right by the river and fell asleep to the wondering sounds of the stream . George the horse was a lovely surprise for the little one and will definitely be returning ! The host is also lovely and very helpful . Overall this is a 10/10 for a wild camping experience and would highly recommend.

We had a magical time camping at Goren Farm. Blessed with lovely weather we enjoyed having nature all around. Photographing flowers, bees and insects in the meadows and relaxing with birdsong and a glass or two of wine. Just perfect. We hope to return to this very special place.

1 night at Eden's Nook

A fairly small camp ground with a beautiful big barn containing couches, TV, table, fridge, water and home like showers and toilets. Outside the barn there was a picnic table and a hut further along with a fire place that you could sit around and cook food. I did get a bit lost on my way there but the hosts were able to sort me out. When I did arrive they showed me around the place and explained where everything was and how it all worked. I shared the camp ground with only one other person and had a very pleasant time, so maybe consider booking during the quieter times of the week.

What a gorgeous site - at one side a babbling brook, that you can hear as you fall asleep, to pairs of Red Kites and Buzzards wheeling overhead - and flocks of Goldfinches hopping about the grasses in the meadow and field. The weather was very good and I fell asleep watching bats and the moon rise, with the van door open all night. There's already stone fire pits, a compostable loo, and a lovely area where you can pitch up and enjoy the woods and the area, in peace and quiet. David is the owner and is lovely, so very helpful, which I appreciated loads. I can see why this little slice of heaven has been nominated for awards - and I'd suggest that people come and visit to try it out for themselves.

We love it here. Very relaxed rural space with only one pitch per field. Beautiful wildflowers and they have worked hard at creating a biodiversity paradise. You almost never find campsites this isolated in the UK.

Everything was perfect! Booking easy and Julian very helpful on the phone. Our pitch was on the edge of a beautiful wildflower meadow and we had the whole field to ourselves! Firepit provided. Hot showers and compost loos. Lovely sitting in the enclosed farm yard with tea and cake. Good walks from the site. We drove to the Tuckers Arms pub which was good. Burrow Farm gardens worth a visit. Highly recommend Goren Farm!

3 nights at Brig's Farm

Really lovely chilled camp. The showers are fantastic. It isn’t crowded so everyone has a great view. Our dog was welcomed! We had such a great time. Thank you!

Weekend Trip to Pytingwyn Woods

My 8 year old loves making dens and bases and has heard about wild camping that my wife and I used to do and wanted to do some himself. Since he isn’t quite up to a proper expedition at his age I went looking for a campsite where we could give him a taste of it and found this place. We camped in the woods within a few metres of the river. We cooked over fires and slept under a tarp shelter between trees, boiled water from the river and in his eyes lived in the wilderness for a couple of days. Just what we were after.

2 nights at Mynydd Mawr

Hard to find initially so follow the directions given, although they weren’t that great to be honest. Follow the headland and not the postcode, site is last one on the left if you keep going past where the post code leads you too. However the site is good, great views when you can see them. We had bad weather but on the occasions it was nice the view was lovely. Very basic site, but very clean and well kept and I would say decent value for money. Not sure we’d stay again but that’s just due to the fact that we prefer places closer to beach access for the kids, although have to say they were happy as can be so no complaints from them! Showers cost 50p for 3 minutes so bring plenty with you as we didn’t know this and struggled to get enough from shops to serve a family of 4

Loved it here. The site was really quiet and chilled. Quality walks from the site with amazing views. Tons of wildlife and easy to get to lots of beaches. The owner was sound and we had a top time 😀

5 nights at Goren Farm

The amount of land and privacy for camping is really great. Showers were really good too, very generous to have two showers with hot water and good pressure for the amount of pitches.
