Lovely kind hosts, beautiful views and walks straight from the roundhouse enjoyed by us and our cat Blue. Absolutely magical. Such a comfortable bed, cosy lights, cooking supplies, folk takes - all you would need. Can't thank you enough!

Brilliant campsite. I was camping there alone but felt very comfortable. Lovely field to camp in, beautiful views around the farm in the morning, great building to chill out in, useful facilities to store and heat food. Also loved the honesty shop with delicious pastries. Ian was very helpful with recommending local walks, and checked in throughout stay. Would love to visit again next year!

What a beautiful place to camp. This was my first time camping and we picked such a lovely place to experience it for the first time. Mark was very welcoming and really helpful. We had a few choices of where we could pitch our tent which was nice. We were very lucky with the weather as well. Beautiful views for a sunset & sunrise. We enjoyed waking up to peace & quiet (minus the farm animals which we were quite content with ☺️) There is a shower room & toilet which is ideal after a days hiking! We would recommend Marks farm to friends & family and would camp there again.

Absolutely loved it , always wanted to try wild camping without being to wild if that makes sense, beautiful views all round, rugged scenery, great pitches, was a bit wet and blustery when I went but it was an amazing site and yes a 4x4 is recommended, hope to be back very soon.

Having the place to ourselves we felt like lords of the manor.

After a secluded stay on Anglesey? Take a peek at peaceful Pengraig Campsite. Up at the isle’s most north-western point near Church Bay, it’s about as far as you can get from the mainland without actually ditching into the sea. With that far-flung setting comes a stunning sea view – one that can be gazed at for many hours from the comfort of your pitch (a recommended activity around sunset, with drink in one hand and a barbecue stoking implement in the other). See the sea from a different angle on the nearby Anglesey Coast Path or while strolling on the sands of one of the local beaches. The waves aren’t the only gazing material around here – turn your back on the coast for scenic views of Mynydd Y Garn, or bring binoculars for a bit of birdwatching. Once darkness falls, direct your gaze upwards; the lack of light pollution means the stars can often put on a glittering show here. This isn’t a place for folks seeking heaps of facilities and entertainment; the emphasis is very much on peace and nature. Low-key amenities include a drinking water supply, a chemical disposal point and a toilet block (with basins and proper flushing loos). If you want to venture out in search of eats, pub meals and seafood suppers are five minutes’ drive away in Church Bay, and a little supermarket 15 minutes away in Cemaes.

Our level well drained field is easily accessible from the A483, and offers spacious pitches. We have 4 hardstanding pitches the remainder being laid to grass, with optional electric hook ups available. We have spotless toilets and showers, with shaver point and offer a large utility room for washing up, fridge freezer and sockets for mobile phone charging. We welcome all types of units - tents, touring caravans, campervans, etc. as well as dogs (though ask that these remain on a leash) The village of Crossgates is within walking distance, which offers launderette facilities at the local garage, which also has a cafe and handy Co-Op shop at the petrol filling station. Llandrindod Wells, which has cafes, supermarkets, pubs, takeaways and activities, is approximately 3 miles South. Fishing is available on the farm, with trout, chubb and brownings on the river Ithon, but licences are required. Coed Obry is a 5.5 acre private woodland on the edge of Snowdonia National Park. It has its own private gated access from the road and a 50m track leads from the A 4085 to a small car park for 5 vehicles. Paths lead from there to the caravan, bunkhouse, camping areas. There is a compost toilet block and sink (cold water tap) in the centre of the wood shared by all visitors. The notice board in the car park provides visitors with maps, photos and information about the wood, and there are laminated maps showing the routes of around 30 local walks which visitors are welcome to borrow during their stay. Canoe, kayaks and paddle boards are available to hire in Coed Obry and there are several fire pits with seasoned firewood for sale. There is no mains water so visitors are requested to bring their own drinking water, but rain water harvesting systems provide water for washing. Nearby there are several outstanding beaches within 1-3 miles and there is good access to the mountains of Snowdonia; the Afon Dwyryd provides an excellent sheltered river/estuary for canoeing and paddle boarding; the slate quarries and tourist attractions of Blaenau Ffestiniog, rock climbing at Tremadog (2 miles); spectacular waterfalls at Croesor (1 mile); the Ffestiniog Narrow Gauge Railway (0.5 miles); the Glaslyn Osprey Centre (1 mile); several shops, restaurants, hostelries and Spar shop in Penrhyndeudraeth (1 mile); three large supermarkets and a regional shopping centre in Porthmadog (2.5 miles).
