We are restoring our land to a wildflower meadow and other nature friendly habitat, but allowing use of one field for seasonal camping and occasionally larger gatherings. We are in an ideal spot for cyclists and walkers exploring the coast of Wales (we are a short diversion from the national coast path). Low carbon travellers are welcome, with Pwllheli train station about 5 miles away and we are also on the main Pwllheli to Aberdaron bus route. We can accommodate a limited number of vehicles including camper vans and smaller motor homes (please check size with us first to ensure your motorhome is not too wide for our track). The field is accessed by a good quality track which bypasses the house and garden and goes direct into the field. So we can accommodate cars, tents and camper vehicles, however larger vehicles may struggle with the initial access to our priority which is narrow, so please contact us first to check this out with us. There is an outdoor tap for water by the house and a composting ‘eco’ loo in the camping field. In the near future we will be installing a water supply in the camping area. We can also provide a bbq/ fire pit but ask that you source your own fuel. Exclusive whole site group bookings are possible. **new for 2024 : we have a family size bell tent and a large teepee available for hire, fully set up for you, with or without bedding. please send us an enquiry in advance** There is a wealth of wonderful footpaths, interesting landmarks and fantastic beaches in the nearby area. The villages of Abersoch and Llanbedrog are nearby with a choice of pubs and eateries, Pwllheli has a range of larger shops. Local eggs and other produce can be bought locally too, and there is both a farm shop and village post office/general store. We can help you with finding what you need. We will be nearby at the house to offer assistance so we also ask that you are considerate and also respect our privacy, minimise noise, keep gates closed and access clear.

Thanks Mark for the lovely stay! The area is secluded and picturesque, which really gave us the feeling of living a nomadic life with just the basic amenities. A few tips for future visitors: Bring a hanging light or headlamp, as it gets very dark and there’s no lighting provided. There’s a gas stove and cooking area, but you’ll need to bring your own utensils. Pack warm duvets and thick jackets if you’re visiting in autumn, as nights can get very cold. 🚗 Important: Do not drive your car down to the tent. Park just after entering the gate and walk down instead. I missed the host’s message about this, got stuck trying to drive back up, and had to be rescued by a farmer with his tractor (thankfully the host responded quickly and was super helpful!). Despite that little adventure, I absolutely loved the stay and would highly recommend it if you’re looking for a unique experience without the hassle of putting up a tent yourself.

Weekend Trip to Pentre Du Camping Club
Another wonderful trip to this site. This was our second trip here in a few weeks. It is very handy for Colwyn Bay and Llandudno. The site itself is peaceful, the facilities are well maintained and the hosts are very friendly. We had another couple of fun nights with a campfire roaring and loads of safe space for the kids to run around and play.

I absolutely loved staying at Menter Y Felin Uchaf camping site over the recent August Bank Holiday. The site is characterful with beautiful views. I particularly enjoyed the tranquillity of the site which made for a truly relaxing break. I happened to be staying when a storytelling evening took place and this was a highlight of my stay.

The meadow camping at Menter Y Felin Uchaf is brilliant. Each small pitch is cut into high sweeping meadowgrasses. Meaning you can just about see the neighbours but are pretty well secluded. NIce communal firepit with solar lighting. ( firewood and kindling available) Dark Skies !! almost no light pollution saw the milky way very clearly. Good location for end of the Llyn beaches or walks

Lovely situation, hills with hill forts, a view of Bardsey Island, amazing sunsets, a cafe. Two miles from Aberdaron where there is a bakery opposite the Spar which makes really good pasties. Good for cycling from.

Loved Pitch 4. We had two small tents and we still had plenty of space. We had the benefit of getting a shade from the hedge behind our tent. Overall, a great experience at Felin Uchaf. We had the perfect weather for the weekend. Facilities such as toilets and hot showers were great. Plenty of things to do around the area, cafe, beaches, and beautiful sunsets. Highly recommend this campsite!

This was a delightful, family friends, peaceful and fun place to stay, The hosts are wonderfully welcoming, and our children loved being here as much as we did. We spent every evening enjoying the campfire. We were reccomended a lovely walk up the hill where the sunset was beautiful. Facilities are great, clean and well kept. We will definitely return.

Relax and unwind in our beautiful bell tent set within a 4 acre hay meadow with outstanding sea views. Book in and indulge in our custom built wood-fired sauna and plunge pool, wonderful way to spend the evening watching the sunset over the sea. Enjoy sitting around the campfire watching the stars, toasting some marshmallows. Set up comprises of a fully-kitted kitchen cabin with a dining area with solar charging points and fridge, use of your own Biolan compost loo, picnic table and fire pit, indulge in the use of hot and cold showers. Your camping space is a 4 acre field discreetly set within our 14 acre permaculture project. We have planted over a 1,600 native trees within the past 2 years including an orchard of local heritage varieties. In the future we plan to coppice the fast growing trees such as Alder and Willow for firewood. We also have chickens safely roaming within an electric fence which is moved periodically. Fresh organic eggs always available in the summer! We never use any pesticides and keep the grass long for hay cutting. This means the wildlife is abundant. The camp is located next to woodland so we may ask you not to have a campfire in extremely dry weather. Although there is no WiFi the site does have a 4g signal, please check the location with your provider, we are with EE.
