If you’re lucky, you’ll get to see at least one of the amazing sunsets at Red Sky at Night Campsite near Monmouth – but if you don’t, there’s mighty compensation in the shape of the spectacular views from just about everywhere on the site. And of course, on clear nights, the night skies are diamond-bright with stars - we are under one of Wales' Dark Sky Reserves! This family-run camping field on a livestock farm is managed on very laidback lines. Pitch up wherever you like and feel free to park by your tent (weather permitting). Raised campfires are allowed and you can hire firepits and grills (the owners sell local eggs & sausages) and buy bags of wood & kindling. You can bring your dogs too (take them for walks in the adjoining woods) but just be sure to keep them on a lead. Kids are certainly carefully looked after here. Get a fact sheet on arrival and join mini-campers in wildlife hunts through the trees, looking out all the while for buzzards and red kites. Round and about the site, your offspring can entertain themselves on rope swings, making dens and following a mini-tractor course across the camping field. There’s also a football pitch. Wild camping this may be (there’s no electricity on site, please note) but there are two nicely designed compost loos and a covered sink areas with fresh water tap. So bring your guitar, light that fire, break out the barbecue and enjoy the chilled vibe.

Nestled in a quiet spot, a few miles from Bromyard and just minutes away from the breathtaking scenery of the Malvern Hills, Out to Grass is a stunning rural campsite surrounded by lush greenery nestled between Herefordshire and Worcestershire. OTG is a dog friendly site and welcomes tents and vans in a choice of 'family camping' or 'lively' fields. There are also beautiful glamping pods available and a wood fired outdoor hot tub for those craving a spot of luxury The enthusiastic OTG crew provide a warm welcome on arrival and are always happy to help where they can. The site boasts spotless facillities with hot showers and flushing toilets. OTG have received a gold award from Green Tourism for their eco and environental work Pitches are on grass with optional electric or you can forget the tent pegs and stay in one of the lovely glamping pods, equipped with bedding, electric sockets and cooking appliances. The site has an onsite bar and caterers selling fresh coffee, smoothies and hot food. There is Family Friendly music playing most weekends (and also some adult only late night camping weekends available to book). There is a communal covered fire pit with comfy sofas perfect for sitting around chatting and toasting marsh mellows. The site is also blessed with a beautiful open sky for stargazing on new moons. There are some lovely country walks accessible directly from the campsite Most weekends there will be workshops and activities on offer, as well as well-being services such as massages and morning yoga The site has Geodomes available for hire on numerous weekends, complete with full sound system, lights, decor and a stage for bands or DJs, perfect for playing your own music It is also possible to hire the entire site on an exclusive basis for weddings, parties, gatherings and much more. Brilliant site if you want minimal and peaceful, with great views. Chloe was super helpful and fast to respond, and attention to detail on the site is impressive (I loved the washing up shed!) . Will go back!

brilliant campsite went for 2 nights, was ment to be 3 but had no clothes left, but anything you needed chloe was there within the hour, peaceful feild with brilliant views, brilliant for dogs that are well behaved. The kids loved all the stuff they could do including tree swings,playground and the mud kitchen, the forest walk is so lovely to walk through brilliant campsite would recomend only 2-3 days just coz theres no showers but still a very good campsite, would defuntely go again

Great site, big pitches and lovely view. Chloe and her boys were very welcoming, she had obviously put alot of time and thought into keeping the kids on site happy with a wooden climbing frame and ride-on tractors, wish I'd had my grandson with me, he would of loved it.

Excellent two nights at Red Sky Campsite, lovely large pitch for me and Walter the Westie. Lucky enough to have a clear sky, watched the sundown and waited for the night sky to come alive. Will definitely be returning with the grandkids in a few weeks. I will leave another review soon.

A lovely back to basics campsite, the views are beautiful. The plots are large and spaced out well. The kids loved the mud kitchen and tractors. We hired a fire pit and bought wood which was a lovely addition to the eve. The sawdust loos were done up lovely too.

Gorgeous campsite with beautiful views, very accommodating for the dog and close to all the mountains we wanted to go up and a short drive to either Abergavenny or Monmouth. Toilets were very good and well kept, with a sheltered sink area next to them.

We loved our time there. Beautiful view. Family friendly. Good communication. Very close to cider farm, castles and ice cream farm so a very good spot for us. Have to plan for no shower on site but that adds to the fun.
