The Loft Glamping and Camping is situated at East Grange Farm, Kinloss, Moray. It 's a working farm that has evolved over the years to include Wigwam Glamping and Camping for campervans, motorhomes and tents. A number of the old farm buildings have been reppurposed as venue spaces for Weddings, Events and Workshops.
The "wilderness" campsite offers pitches suitable for tents and small campervans whilst the Stackyard area is suitable for motorhomes and mega tents.
All motorhome pitches have electrical hook-up and we have a good number of electric tent pitches. We also now take bookings for caravans. We do not have fully service pitches
Onsite, we also have Original Wigwam cabins which are wooden camping cabins (Pods) that offer all year round protection against the elements. With heating, electricity, fridge, kettle and toasters. For those wanting a bit more luxury there are also ensuite Wigwam Cabins onsite with wood fired hot tubs.
We welcome families, groups, well behaved dogs and do allow campfires outside the wigwams and at pitches and can provide fire hubs on the campsite (this must be pre-arranged).
New for Summer 2026: Two rapid EV charging points are now available on site, making it easy to recharge your electric vehicle during your stay.

Cleghorn Farm is a mixed farm just north east of the market town of Lanark. Comprised of 250 acres of fields and woodland and bounded to the south by Mouse Water, it is a beautiful spot to get away from it all without having to leave it all behind if you don't want to. The fields are grazed and cultivated but the woodlands are much as they were at the end of the last ice age with spectacular walks along Cleghorn Glen with the chance to see badgers, bats, deer and all manner of birds among the towering pine and beech trees.
The Mouse Water (pronounced moose) tumbles down along the edge of the farm and has some glorious pools for swimming, shallows for paddling and some spectacular water falls before it joins the River Clyde, all a gentle walk from the sites.

The 2 bedroom 35 x 12ft caravan is fully equipped for self-catering. With double glazing, central heating and an additional electric fire in the lounge it is warm throughout the year. The boiler also supplies constant hot water.

Strictly no smoking or vaping is allowed in the caravan.
The caravan can sleep up to 6 persons.
Bedroom #1 - with standard size double bed (new mattress for 2025) with fitted wardrobes and cupboards.
Bedroom #2 - with two single beds with cupboard space.
The lounge sofa has a fold out double bed (new mattress for 2025).
All bedding is provided.
Lounge / Dining Room - the lounge has large windows and access to the veranda. The room also has fitted cupboards. The dining area has a circular table with 4 chairs.
Kitchen - fully fitted with a gas cooker, microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster, pots and pans. Cooking utensils, a 6 piece dinner service and cutlery are also provided.
Tea, coffee and sugar are supplied at the start of the holiday, but will not be replenished.
Bathroom - with shower, toilet and washbasin. We do not supply towels.
Additional - Outside table and 4 chairs. Also Fire and CO Alarms, Thermometer, Wall clock and Tide clock.
An information pack of places to visit and eat is provided.
The caravan is on the family run Monreith Sands Holiday Park with a great location on the beautiful Galloway coast. Sandy beaches are only a few 100m away. The generally calm waters of Luce Bay are great for swimming or kayaking. Nearby is a golf course plus historic sites and formal gardens.
Although the Galloway Forest is know for being a Dark Sky Park and great for stargazing, the whole Machars peninsular is very dark. The Galloway Astronomy Centre (01988 500594) gives stargazing tours.

We have realy enjoyed our time here.
The night skies were very impressive - we could see the Milky Way, etc. The surrounding scenery - gentle hills, very peaceful.
The campsite is very clean and spacious, there was plenty of space for each camper. Friendly hosts and what I loved especially - the thoughtful touches all over the camp - like self-charding night lamps around the campsite and facilities. Also alpacas are very cute neighbours.

We had a fab, relaxed weekend camping at Beirhope Farm. We are a family of 4 and we were pitched on the woodland magic site. We really enjoyed this pitch as it was set apart from the others - we had a large space all to ourselves (ideal as we have 2 noisy kids!). We all had fun feeding the cute alpacas - Lynn the site owner very kindly gave us carrots each day to feed them. Lovely scenery and amazing view of the stars at night. Would love to camp here again!

From the moment I arrived Lynne greeted me and my kid (6yrs) and made us feel welcome - she went out of her way to be helpful and made us feel really welcome. The site is beautiful and our pitch was shaded which helped (heatwave) and higher altitude meant consistent mild breeze. The alpaccas were soo charing and make a relaxing murmuring noice (so not disruptive) . Lynne and her team clearly are important to the local community they had a small gathering to watch the lunar eclipse and meteor shower with fire and bbq, which a local enthusiast brought telescope/camera to stream the eclipse through to look & special glasses. Beautiful shop too. Just perfect!

Once again, Lynne and the crew at Beirhope go above and beyond and do not disappoint.
Last year we stayed at the Hatties Hideaway pitch and were impressed by the outdoor kitchen, so this time we picked Samuel’s Super Pitch. Did not expect to have a stove and proper cutlery and crockery included, but I now know that when we next come we can pack lighter.
The highlight had to be the astronomy event that was organised for campers and external guests alike, including a short trek up the hills to take pictures of the sky in one of the darkest places in the country.
Lynne greeted us by name when we arrived, checked in throughout our stay and coped with the offspring’s animated info dumping. Cannot recommend Beirhope Alpacas enough and already making plans for our next stay.

I would 100% recommend anyone to check out camping at Bierhope Alpacas. Me and my girlfriend stayed for 2 nights on Phil’s patch and it was brilliant! Lynne welcomed us and she was absolutely lovely and happy to help with anything during our stay. The views and surroundings are great, and you have everything you need in terms of facilities. We will definitely be back!

Remote and wonderful site, incredible views and lochside beach, well appointed bothy to support campers. Midges and rain notwithstanding, a perfect location for off-the-path camping! We even saw a golden eagle up close, as we drove up the approach single-track road. We will be back.

This is a nice quiet spot in the Borders, within reach of a few good places. Clean and well kept campsite, the alpacas provide that extra interest. The charm is the rustic off grid but even within the basic nature of the place most things are still provided, shop, fires and toilets. Lynn is a good host and took the time to make us feel welcome and even managed to find small screwdrivers to fix our glasses.

Lovely campsite, so peaceful and Lynne couldn’t be friendlier. We really loved the reading nook and being able to camp so close to the Alpaca’s. Lynne has clearly put a lot of attention to detail in ensuring people have a comfortable stay and there are a lots of complementary add-ons you can purchase once you arrive. Would definitely recommend to those looking for a relaxing stay in the Borders.

The setting of the campside is wonderfull and the host Lynn is lovely. It really feels like you are away from all the hustle and bustle and you can easily spent time on site watching the alpacas and read your book. Also our kids enjoyed it very much.

A wonderful stay for our anniversary weekend.
We had everything we needed and hosts that made us feel like family.
The alpacas made awesome neighbours, as did the other campers. There was just a general feeling of happiness at the site. The pitches are well thought out, spaced so that you have plenty of room but can still enjoy atmosphere from others around you.
There are birds everywhere, swallows, house martins, chaffinches and in the twilight hours, little bats!
The eco loos and washing facilities were immaculate.
On our pitch we had Kale's kitchen and were very grateful for the seating under shelter when we were hit by heavy rain.
We have been campers for a few years and nothing has come close to how good Beirhope is.
This place is really special - a slice of rural paradise that we hope to see again soon.
