A very warm welcome from Nigel at the site, with explanation of the site. We loved staying in one of the pre-pitched bell tents, so cosy and warm with very comfy beds! Warm shower and clean composting loo. Helpful little things like the - rechargeable lanterns for use and bottle lanterns when it got dark. A plus too, lots of kitchen ware and crockery.

We loved camping in the bell tents. The views were amazing. We loved that the sheep and donkey roam around the campsite area. The kids activities were a lovely touch and my son enjoyed taking the goat for a walk. We will be back some day!

The glamping tents are cosy and spacious, the beds were incredibly comfortable and clean. The tents are well spaced out so there is privacy and peace. We had a BBQ and a firepit provided. Facilities were fabulous with a well-stocked kitchen and lovely hot shower. Excellent, friendly hosts. My teenage nieces and nephew loved it and well hopefully be back.

Weekend Trip to Radcot Leisure on Thames
We had a wonderful time, excellent location by the river, pub and town. It was very quiet and we had enough space for our three families to run around and enjoy all the nature available! We hired the canoe and paddle boards which were fab. The beds were very comfortable and warm, toilets and showers were decent enough but did get messy quickly with all the usage. The wash up station was very basic and some of the outside benches were a bit tatty so because of that, probably an 8/10 BUT great for families.

We had a wonderful 2 nights stay in a Bell tent. The tent is well equipped and the shared kitchen is a very nice and comfortable area. Electrical devices can be charged here. This campsite is perfection. We booked a bell tent to celebrate my birthday. It was a great choice. Everything was just lovely from the warm welcome, the help with transporting all our clobber up the hill, stunning views of the mountains and the site is a wildlife haven. We saw baby swallows and a hedgehog and loved the morning birdsong. Come here for absolute peace and tranquility. We can't wait to return.

Rustic, peaceful vibes for a quiet break from life! Quirky amenities but by no means in adequate, the host, Nigel was extremely welcoming and friendly. Stayed in Sir Galahad bell tent, which had a large comfy bed and even though it was warm when arrived, once we had opened up the tent there was a lovely cool breeze and feeling at one with nature. We had a quiet and secluded plot with our bench table and BBQs available although we’d brought our own and cooked a lovely steak from the local butchers only a few miles away in the quaint town of Chipping Sodbury. Would Definately recommend for something different and peaceful. Thank you, we hope to return!

An idyllic spot - long meadow grass with mown areas for the campers. Very clean, quiet and spacious. Delicious croissants in the morning. Helpful owner. A few rules but that probably made it a better experience for everyone. The bell tent was excellent!

Glangwdi Glamping offers furnished bell tents in sight of Pen y Fan, the Brecon Beacon’s highest peak. For some, that alone will be reason enough to book but for others there are further temptations. The site is 2.5 acres. Take, for example, Glangwdi’s pygmy goats. There’s a daily opportunity to meet these little farmyard friends and there are ducks and chickens too. Hiking, biking and wild swimming (try Llyn Cwm Llwch on way up top) are all on offer here. Closer by, Held Wood is a local favourite for walks with a series of small waterfalls within it. The Taff Trail offers well-signposted routes – towards the peaks in one direction or along country lanes to the market town of Brecon in the other.

Authentic old school camping! Bring your own tent and stay in one our lovely private pitches. Our pitches are big enough to park your car and pitch a large family tent with plenty of space for sitting and BBQs. Our site is off grid so you will be provided with plenty of fresh water in containers. There are compost toilets dotted around the site which are cleaned daily and there is firewood and charcoal available to buy. We also have a little honesty shop selling a few bits and pieces that campers often forget to pack. The mushroom farm feels more like wild camping or a pioneers camp. It is not a manicured site so we recommend bringing an airbed for a comfortable sleep. But a positive you’ll be sharing it with wildlife – frequent visitors include songbirds, red kites, kestrels, owls, bats, lizards, frogs and toads, snakes, rabbits and hares, muntjac deer, mice, foxes, dragonflies, butterflies, moths and beetles… The camp is set on a mushroom farm with young trees and large areas left to rewild. This means flowering thistles and uneven ground so it may not be suitable for babies, very young children or people with health conditions. The 2025 camping season at the Mushroom farm is from Friday the 23rd of May until Sunday the 22rd of June. We are then closed for a few weeks but open again from Friday the 18th of July until Sunday the 17th of August.
