The environment is very calm and pizza night really is a success, not only the pizza's are very nice but you get to know the other people staying - amazing if you have kids as they start playing together. This is a place to feel connected to the land and to completely let go of all the pressures of modern living. Jan is passionate about bio diversity and I loved walking up to the yurt, brushing past lavender and sage and wild flowers full of bees and butterflies, picking an apple on the way - and having it for breakfast whilst looking over a most glorious sunrise view from Buzzard Yurt. Then a walk in the woods and chilling in the hammock reading and soaking up the birdsong and the sound of the buzzard up above. At night - lying on the deck looking up at a starry sky and sitting round the fire toasting marshmallows. A truly relaxing and healing few days. Thank you Jan.

We absolutly would recommend a stay in the Yurt, it had everything we needed for the perfect stay. The location is ideal for a quiet, reflective break in nature. Listening to the owls and nightjars calls from the woods of an evening was a particular highlight. If you need a detox from the hectic world to relax and restore its the perfect space to do so. The salad, steak and cheese hamper was amazing value, and the coffee and pancake stuff provided made us feel so welcome. Thanks Anna, i am sure we will be back again, Hayley, Andy & Greta doggo 🐶

David and Jasper went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care off. The campsite is near town, just a 20 minutes walk along the river. The facilities at the campsite are primitive, but adequate and clean. Loved the hot showers! We stayed in a yurt and that was very comfortable and very well equipped. Our kids (and the other kids at the campsite) spent most of the time in and around the tree with a swing, so nice! They called it the best campsite ever! Hope to come back one day!

We loved our stay at Buzzard Yurt! Jan was super friendly and helpful, and the kids loved the trampoline, the pond, the hot tub, feeding the chickens, picking the eggs and just everything the lovely campsite had to offer. It was such a good break from the bustle of city life and we cannot wait to return. The night skies were delightful with a sky full of stars and hardly any light pollution anywhere near us, and our days were filled with adventure and nature at the camp. Jan's campsite is conveniently located to lots of lovely sights - Beer, Seaton, Lyme Regis. A perfect break!

The Yurt and kitchen area have a fence surrounding them, giving you that piece of mind if you have your furry friend with you. You also have access to the surrounding field so your pooch can really stretch their legs. The outdoor (flushing) toilet and shower shack will be used by you only. We only have one yurt onsite meaning that you have the whole glamping field and amenities to yourself. There are no mains electricity in the glamping field but there are plenty of solar and battery powered lights at hand to help you navigate in the dark and to set the mood of an evening. There will also be a power bank available in the yurt which has enough power to charge phones or tablets 5 times. There isn't wifi available in the glamping area but phone signal is great including access to 4G. So get those programmes and films pre downloaded. You will be supplied with your first basket of logs free of charge, further baskets can be purchased onsite at a small additional cost. These logs can be used for both the log burner and firepit. We have free range poultry on the farm so don't be surprised if they give you a visit in the glamping field. In the 18th century Oakhill Stout was thought to have ‘magical‘ healing properties. Now you can take a dip in these waters. The beady-eyed can spot kingfisher, heron, buzzard, kite, cormorant & much more in the way of wildlife. Walled garden guests have access to this larger site in the afternoons, between 1pm and 5pm.
