Buzzard Yurt on the hillside at the top of the paddock, with its large terrace and stunning views across the Axe valley.

Each has exclusive use of their own homemade, separate, fully equipped kitchen, a cosy chill-out area with books and games, and private indoor shower. Each yurt pitch has its own compost loo and campfire area. Extra wood at low cost, freezer space and additional tent space all available. Buzzard also has a rustic indoor loo (close to daytime spaces.)
There's a shared games/pool/music room with a piano and guitars.
Homegrown produce often available from the organic smallholding.
Welcome to join in with any smallholding activities taking place. Detox and unwind from the digital world - though you'll find wi-fi /ethernet cable in daytime spaces😉
Wild swimming in the natural swimming pond, which has a selection of kayaks, boards and lifejackets. Great for building open water confidence and paddle practice.

Weekend Trip to Yurt in the Orchard
This yurt exceeded all expectations. Thoughtfully laid out with a jacuzzi, separate kitchen in a shepherd’s hut, fire pit, covered outdoor dining area, and separate shower, everything you could need. The interior is stunning, with rich oriental colours that create such a warm, cosy atmosphere.
Waking up to the apple tree view each morning was lovely. Being in a Dark Sky Reserve meant the stargazing by the fire pit was spectacular, so peaceful and remote. Chris was a wonderful host, friendly and attentive throughout. Highly recommended!

What a beautiful little Wagon to have a stress-free get away. The river provides great refreshing spots you can drop your body into get a bit of a dip. The woodlands has great public paths. Tom, the Groundsmen was super helpful and lovely.

We had a fantastic time at Lickham Bottom camp. We stayed at ‘Oak Tree Nook.’ The camp was beautiful and so ingeniously put together. The Bell tent was really comfortable and having hot showers was so welcome. The children had an absolute blast playing badminton, trivial pursuit and jenga from the games shed, lying in the hammocks and playing on the swing. I would definitely recommend.

Our best glamping experience so far! The surroundings are beautiful and so peaceful, perfect for an escape from the city life 😌 the yurt and the hut feel impossibly cozy, all the amenities are of high standard and very well-equipped. And on top of that, we arrived to a gift of eggs from the resident chickens, apple juice from the orchard and milk from local cows - what a fabulous warm welcome! Chris was also very responsive and helpful. We had an amazing time and wish we could go back soon!

Weekend Trip to Lickham Bottom Camp
We had such a peaceful weekend at Lickham Bottom. We usually camp with our own kit but I needed some comfort while heavily pregnant. This was exactly what we hoped for! A comfy bed, our own toilet and outdoor shower with lovely hot water, all in a beautiful setting. The weather was hot so we appreciated the shade of the oaks but I think we’d still have had a lovely time in the rain under the kitchen shelter, looking out over the meadow.
So many thoughtful details like comfy camp chairs, hot water bottles, a cute shed with games and books and access to a small fridge.
Thanks Penny for setting everything up so well that we could have a properly relaxing time!

If you're looking to relax and soak up nature this is a beautiful spot on the edge of the forest. We stayed in a Bell Tent with lovely extras with some nice fruit tea bags and sugar stir sticks. Everything looked brand new.
Very clean showers and toilet blocks - modern and fresh.
Nothing was too much trouble - don't normally camp but I would have been happy for a week with a good book but sadly could only stay one night :-(

1 night at Walnut Farm Glamping
We loved Hazel roundhouse. The freindliest welcome. Excellent facilities, beautifully designed. Views of the rolling countryside are great and the setting is really natural, watching a barn owl swooping over the meadow at dusk was a highlight, as well as star-gazing from the hot tub. We will definitely be returning.

I came to Kingfisher (second time) with my daughter and new puppy during a spell of hot weather at the end of May. It was truly blissful - sitting in the shade of the big oak tree, listening to the vibrant bird sounds, swimming in the pond, reading, walking the puppy in the woods at the top. I completely unravelled and de-stressed. Jan has really done something special with this land. It is humming with life. The birdsong took my breath away. And I could let the puppy run free in our little glade. It was only a few weeks ago, and I miss it. Thank you Jan.

This shepherds hut was amazing! The poshest hut I have ever stayed in - really comfortable. Waking up to a cool breeze and the sounds of nature and a beautiful view was perfect. The wood fired hot tub was amazingly effective and once heated up with a fierce blaze on Friday stayed warm with a bit of topping up until Sunday. Highly recommended!

We loved our six-night stay in Buzzard Yurt with our 8 year old and all agreed it was our favourite glamping experience to date. The site is teeming with wildlife and the view from the yurt was beautiful. Facilities were very good - Jan seems to have thought of everything you could possibly need while not overdoing it, and it all felt very homely. The trampoline was much appreciated. Overall, it was an excellent combination of nature & fresh air alongside being sufficiently comfortable (bringing a child and various back ache problems, etc.) to enjoy it. The woodland nature reserve next door was also stunning in April. Thoroughly recommended.

Weekend Trip to Jordans Estate Glamping
We had such a chilled weekend at the Stanley shepherds hut. Such a neatly and cleverly designed hut, we were very cosy.
We had fun making pizzas and toasting marshmallows.
Hot tub did take a long time to warm up the first night but the weather was against us- the second night was the opposite.
Great facilities and very easy to find off the road.
A warm welcome by our host who made sure we knew where everything was and had pre lit the hot tub fire for us!
Lovely touches like hot chocolate and marshmallows, fairy lights and drinks holder on the hot tub!

We had a wonderful stay. We arrived quite late, yet Evie was incredibly kind and still met us in person, even helping us with our luggage, which we really appreciated. The farm setting was a highlight - we were free to roam around, feed the chickens, and our little toddler absolutely loved jumping on the trampoline.
The cottage itself is beautifully secluded, giving us complete peace and privacy, and it truly had everything one could ask for, even a dishwasher in the kitchen. We especially enjoyed spending the evening by the firepit on the deck.
If you love hiking, there are plenty of great trails in the area as well. Highly recommend and can’t wait for our next stay.
