Cwmffrwd Farm is a magical place. Somewhere we definitely want to come back to. The campsite is peaceful and beautiful. Pridie is a wonderful host running farm and campsite in harmony with nature with composting loos and no vehicles on the field. The sauna is a hidden jem we enjoyed enormously on a rather wet and windy day. Magic!

Weekend Trip to Alder Carr Farm

The best campsite we’ve been to! A few of us took to Alex’s place as it was a great meeting spot between the Wirral and Manchester. With the weather being 30 degrees the wild swimming was an incredible additional. We had a whole field to our selves which was great for playing rounders. It felt so special having it all private. Alex was a great host and was there if we needed anything at all. Thank you and I would recommend this campsite to anyone in the future! Best of luck with everything 😊

Everything was perfect, kitchen space is very handy, facilities may not be luxurious enough for some but I love the rustic, natural feel and appropriate little extras in the bathroom i.e shower gels/soaps and all organic too. And not having a designated pitch is a luxury enough! What a treat. Would recommend 100%

We had a lovely couple of nights camping. There is plenty of space so no one was pitched close to us. The kitchen and bathroom facilities were useful and the games are a nice touch. The jetty for launching our kayak was good, although the river was quite weedy, it was a very relaxing paddle though. We didn’t get firewood, but the option to buy logs and the use of the fire pits is a nice option. Within 10 miles of Glastonbury and Bridgewater but off the beaten track, so really peaceful.

Lovely area, and loads of nice touches to the site (hammocks, clean toilets, cut paths to explore). The water/moat was just sludge when we went (I'm blaming the heatwave!) but still a beautiful spot to listen to the birds and watch sunsets on the hills opposite. We are on the Somerset levels so the sunsets are amazing as well as night time stargazing. We have a private, wooden jetty where you can launch your own paddle board. It’s a perfect get away for campers and nature lovers. Bring your own raised BBQs and logs or buy firewood on site. A family run campsite around 30 miles south of Bristol on the banks of the River Brue, it has a relaxed vibe and we try to keep things simple and straight forward. It’s ideal for doing some day trips nearby, then lighting the BBQ and playing Frisbee (games box you are most welcome to use). Our big sister site is just 4 miles away, and the café bar at 'Wall Eden Farm' serves fantastic coffee, cake, and family-made Somerset cider. This family-run camping field on a livestock farm is managed on very laidback lines. Pitch up wherever you like and feel free to park by your tent (weather permitting). Round and about the site, your offspring can entertain themselves on rope swings, making dens and following a mini-tractor course across the camping field. There’s also a football pitch. Wild camping this may be (there’s no electricity on site, please note) but there are two nicely designed compost loos and a covered sink areas with fresh water tap. So bring your guitar, light that fire, break out the barbecue and enjoy the chilled vibe.

See the orchids in July.. Welcome guests who share that appreciation. We also care about food security and planted a top fruit orchard with walnuts and cobnuts too! Nature spontaneously provides blackberries, sloes.. which are shared. The Barn Owl have their own boxes (although they still enjoy the big barn) and skylarks sing high above the tussocky terrain. Come join them! Even if your singing isn't so good.
