Set on glorious parkland in the middle of the South Downs National Park, Lordington Park really is a wonderful countryside escape. A 15 minutes’ drive from Chichester, our rustic camping field has views over rolling countryside. Spectacular sunsets and sunrises can be expected on cloudless days.
Escape the hustle and bustle of every day life in our peaceful rural campsite, with spacious grass pitches big enough for you to have lots of private space. Each pitch has a firepit for barbecues, and there is access to composting toilets, a shower block with warm water, and fresh drinking water. Please note there is no electricity on this simple site.
Vehicles are not allowed to park on the camping field, but parking is provided a stone’s throw away. Wheelbarrows are provided to help you get your kit from car to tent.
Countryside walks and cycle paths lead directly from your pitch. There are several pubs in the local area – the nearest being 10 minutes’ stroll away. We have a tea room on site, open Thursday - Sunday 10am-3pm.

We had a really lovely stay in the Bustard Hut. It was peaceful, quaint, and beautifully designed. The interior was unique and thoughtfully put together, and the hut had great facilities considering its limited kitchen space.
The little touches like the marshmallows, bread, and condiments were very much appreciated.
The only downsides were that the hut wasn’t quite as private as it appeared in the pictures, as we could see and be seen by the neighbouring hut from the hot tub, which wasn’t quite what we imagined. Also, there weren’t any trolleys available on arrival, so there was a lot of back and forth with bags since you can’t park next to the hut.
A few things that would be useful to have are some barbecue tools and maybe a fire mitt, as we had to use kitchen utensils to manage the fire. Overall, we had a lovely stay and really enjoyed the thoughtful touches throughout.

Lovely site. Lots of space between tents. Showers and loos are clean. Josie was very responsive and helpful. We missed their sun downers sadly. Next time.
We stayed an extra night we liked it so much.
You can hear the road sometimes, but we got used to that.

Camping feels less crowded and it was very peaceful. The compost toilets and showers were OK too. I like the tearoom which was a few minutes walk from the campsite which served very delicious food.

A beautiful and peaceful campsite. We loved the South Downs setting and appreciated the off lead dog paddock on site as well. It was also really nice to visit the nearby tearooms and enjoy wine and a cheeseboard in the evening. A super dog friendly site and well maintained facilities. We look forward visiting again in the future!

Absolute gem of a place. Zoe was so welcoming and sorted me out with some wood for the fire pit as well. Clean facilities and beautiful views. Felt very safe as a solo camper. Will definitely be back!

Our first family camping experience and I can't think of anything I would change! Beautiful quiet site (apart from the sound of our children and their new friends playing on the old go karts and in the sandpit!). Lovely clean shower and loo block with washing up facilities. Fire pits are available and they sell wood for £10 a bag. Gorgeous spot for watching the moon and sunrise. Will definitely be back! ☺️🌅

Great camping site. Plenty of parking and no cars on the pitches (which is excellent). Clean compostable toilets and luxury hot showers. Pitches are super roomy and each has a fire pit available. Lovely tea room nearby at 5 minute walking distance.

We had a really good stay at Park Farm Campsite for one night in our roof tent. The site was clean and well-kept, with all the facilities (toilets, showers, etc.) in excellent condition. The views were lovely, especially from the far side of the site where we were parked.
One tip for roof tent campers: it’s a good idea to bring levelling blocks if you’re setting up on the far end of the field, as the site does slope down.
Overall, a great spot for a peaceful night with everything you need. We’d happily return!

Joise's paddock was great. The pitches were generous and not too close to each other.
The grass and pitches were lovely to walk on bare foot. The showers were great. The compost loos were great. Josie was prompt and helpful with text messages. It was a well set-up place. There is a tea room nearby.
One side of the paddock is close to a road, so a bit noisy but not bad.
There is minimal phone coverage and no wifi, so be prepared for that.
We were the only people there when we camped, so it was lovely and quiet!

Getting your stuff from the car to the pitch with a wheelbarrow is easy enough, but there are only 2 so of lots of groups arrive at once you may need to wait a while.

We loved camping at Lordington Park campsite. It is a beautiful spot and convenient for West Wittering beach and other places of interest. The site is spacious and well laid out with great rustic timber hot showers and the best composting loos we have ever experienced. It was amazing to see the sheep herding practise in the late afternoon in the top field. Josie & team were friendly, available and helpful - we would definitely recommend this quiet rustic site.

Lordington was a perfect little campsite that did everything it said. Decent pitches. Decent showers. Compost (but not smelly) toilets. Somewhere to wash up and a fire in the evening if you wanted.
Only thing to query - We read somewhere that the tea room served drinks and charcuterie on Friday and Saturday night but that is not happening at the moment - shame but not a deal breaker!
Loved it and will defo be back.

The location in the nature reserve was lovely and the place felt really secluded despite being easy to find. As the listing says, it is close to the airport so there is fairly steady noise but it didn’t bother us too much. Overall excellent value.
