We’re just a 5 minute walk across our grassy fields to the oldest free-house pub in England (The Royal Standard of England) Say hello to our resident alpacas, sheep, pigs, pigmy goats, flock of 250 sheep and of course our lovely boarder collies. This quiet and secluded site is ideal for a peaceful getaway in the Norfolk countryside, set on four and a half acres of flat and level land with spacious pitches. The site is just a 25 minute drive from Sandringham Estate, as well as the Wash, an outstanding bay known for its wetland nature reserve. There are 35 non electric grass pitches available, suitable for caravans, tents and trailer tents. Two dogs are also allowed per pitch (although they must remain on leads). The sunsets are spectacular here, and on a clear night, the stars are an astronomer's dream. Plus, the facilities are quirky and clean, with spiders evicted daily. Firepits are on hand if needed, and BBQs are welcome, too.

This was an incredible getaway, such a quiet and natural space with birds, surrounded by trees and the very nearby woodlands which are covered in mushrooms, more than we could count! It was so peaceful, we loved the natural space and eco-friendly touches. We definitely want to return again! It was magical!

Really great site. Managed really well. Amazing spot in the woods and plenty of space between yourself and other campers. Firepits are provided and you can buy wood for fires if you need. There are some great walks nearby and plenty of stargazing! Would really recommend this site. Had a really wonderful weekend here. (There is a closing time of 7pm which is to be aware of and not being able to enter after that point so just something to be aware if traffic or travelling far after work.) The toilets, eco and flushing, were really good. Didn't use the showers so cant say!

This was my third visit this year and we pitched up in a different location to before. The choice of where you want to pitch up is endless and every area of the pitch gives you complete privacy with stunning views. If you have a dog then this pitch is perfect for them to enjoy open space. Peter and Celia are amazing hosts with great communication. The pitch is really easy to access and find, we were fine with our 7m camper. I highly recommend this Hipcamp.

Me and my partner stayed at Chalky downs for 2 nights for a little get away ✨. Sharen’s land is beautiful, everyone is so friendly and we even got to order a sausage bacon and egg bap with tea and coffee in the morning! ☀️. We went into Brighton town for a bit of shopping and to see the sea, only a 14 minute drive and we parked in the station car park 👏🏼. Would 100% recommend and will definitely be going back! Thank you so much. 🫶🏼

Peace, perfect peace! 🥰 Despite torrential rain, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and loved not seeing another human being for 3 whole days! Plenty of wildlife for company though, and we loved having the big skies and amazing views all around us! Lovely hosts directed us to where to pitch and then left us to it and we can't wait to stay again! Highly recommend if you like to camp slightly wild!! ❤️

Quiet, sheltered and peaceful spot. Great location for using as a base to explore North Hampshire villages and walking trails. Was lovely in The Clearing - so much so we stayed on for an extra night! Facilities are rustic/simple (head torch needed to use the toilets day and night!) but they do the job as long as you’re prepared to get back to basics!

Weekend Trip to Stockbridge View Campsite

We only stayed one night as a trial so we didn’t get out & about, but the toilets/showers were clean, and the washing up shed (with charging dock) was very useful. The warden came to lend us a hammer when we were clearly struggling with our mallet, and David’s son very kindly offered help as we had car trouble. It felt like a ‘nice’, safe place to be with our young daughter.

We camped in a lovely field, with amazing facilities. Clean showers with plentiful hot water, clean toilets and a washing up area. We had an electric pitch right on the edge of the fields with lovely views of the sunset. It wasn't very busy during our stay, so was very peaceful. Close to some great restaurants which were very child-friendly. We paid extra for a campfire each night, but unfortunately, due to the strong winds on our 2nd night, we thought it would be safer to not use this! The campsite manager covered it for us to prevent it getting wet in any case. Lovely place, would definitely stay here again!
