Beautiful Adults only peaceful site, open all year round. We purchased this peaceful secluded 15 acre piece of land, consisting of a 3 acre lake, in early 2015. Our beautiful Log Cabin (KINGFISHER) was completed in May 2017 and the static homes style lodges, (LAVENDER AND SUNFLOWER) in April 2021. Kingfisher is a more rustic vibe with log burner and oil filled radiators for heating and Lavender and Sunflower are more modern vibe with gas central heating. Lavender and Sunflower both have ramp access. They all have their own personal jetty and veranda to fish from. You can also fish anywhere around the lake as we do not allow day tickets. Kingfisher has 3 bedrooms, so sleeps 3 singles or 3 couples. The other two have 2 bedrooms, so sleeps just 2 singles or 2 couples. It is such a peaceful haven. All your troubles just disappear when you arrive. The calming beauty of the lake is inspiring. We want this to become our very own nature reserve, encouraging nesting of all kinds to mature to full potential. We want you to share on our journey and progress along the way. We don’t look on this as a business, but a ‘home from home’. It is our secretive safe haven, nestled nicely in-between Boston and Skegness in a peaceful surrounding – there is no traffic apart from the occasional Spitfire or Lancaster flying by! Also, depending on what time of year, the occasional combine harvester or tractor working the surrounding fields. The space The hut has sweeping countryside views and is perfect for a peaceful and relaxing break! Inside there is a king sized hybrid mattress bed, seating area with a fold up table for meal times or relaxing, a fully equipped kitchen with all utensils & crockery, integrated fridge with small freezer, heating with Nest controlled thermostat, induction hob, sink and draining tray. There is also a large en-suite with a rainfall shower. Luxury toiletries are provided along with towels and themed bed linen. You will also have 1 extra towel per person for use with the hot tub. Jars of tea, coffee and sugar are available in the kitchen along with a couple of milk sachets. The garden is fully enclosed with a gravel and lawned area, table & seating, large firepit/BBQ and a parasol for those sunnier days! The fire pit is set up with racks, pans and all the equipment needed to cook with! The large hot tub with lights and jets is just to the side of the seating area. The hot tub is fully undercover, making it safe to use in all weathers! There is also enough space for undercover seating. There is a manual provided in the hut which features local attractions and there is a private landscaped parking area located just at the back of the hut. There is lots to do nearby and something for every and those a little further afield, local supermarkets, cafes, pubs and restaurants. The site is also located on the Leicestershire Round walking route with at least 5 off road walks commencing within 400 yards of the site. Check in information, along with directions to the site are messaged 48 hours prior to arrival. We loved the log cabin. Took the dogs for a couple of days, the place is lovely. The weather wasn't the best, so after a couple of wet an rainy walks (which the dogs LOVED) we just hunkered down in there. Played games, drank wine, listened to music. Its perfect to hide away for a couple of nights.

Weekend Trip to Stamford Meadows Glamping

I am happy to report having a wonderful experience despite being caught in a storm. Initially I had considered cancelling my booking in the face of weather warnings yet I was so pleased to have persisted. The yurt, hot tub and other amenities were beautifully prepared and felt safe and secure. While the location was just what I was seeking. The experience was to provide an occasion for my partners birthday and this was well received. My thanks to Amelia for thoughtfully creating a lovely, charming and relaxing space to be enjoyed.

The Dukeries

Rolling green fields and sumptuous Ducal estates make up the northernmost region of Sherwood Forest. Clumber Park, with its National Trust estate and serpentine lake, and Thoresby Park, with its miles of woodland walks and artisan shops, are the regional highlights. Bring your caravan or campervan for a weekend break in the English countryside—you’ll never be far from a family campground or caravan park.

Heart of Sherwood

Sherwood’s central heartland is Robin Hood country at its best. Explore the Sherwood Forest Country Park, where you can visit the Major Oak (iconic home of Robin Hood and his merry men), hike and cycle along miles of trails, or ride the Sherwood Forest Railway. Woodland walks and bike rides are also on offer at nearby Sherwood Pines Forest Park, while Rufford Country Park is home to the 12th-century Rufford Abbey.

Byron Country

The southernmost slice of Sherwood Forest sits just north of the city of Nottingham, making it the ideal escape for urban campers.
