Honey Pod – Adults-Only Countryside Glamping near York Nestled in a quiet corner of Field House Farm, just 8 miles south of York, Honey Pod offers a peaceful, adults-only glamping retreat surrounded by open fields, sheep, and wildlife. It’s the perfect spot to slow down, reconnect with nature, and enjoy a few thoughtful touches of comfort. Set within its own private space, the pod overlooks rolling countryside where you can spot red kites gliding overhead, little owls perched on fence posts by day, and barn owls silently sweeping the fields at dusk. Spend your evening stargazing by the private fire pit, with hardly any light pollution to spoil the view. Inside, the pod is bright, cosy, and well-equipped. There's a comfortable king-size bed with fresh linens, a modern ensuite shower room with towels, bodywash, and shampoo, and a kitchenette stocked with essentials including a hob, oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge (with ice box), plus pans, utensils, and crockery. We also provide tea towels, washing-up liquid, hand soap, foil, cling film, and bin liners — so you can travel light and settle straight in. Just a short countryside walk away (approx. 3km) is the award-winning Drovers Arms gastropub in Skipwith, serving fantastic food and a warm welcome. Skipwith Common National Nature Reserve is also within walking distance — a wild and tranquil area of heathland that’s home to diverse wildlife and offers great walking trails. Outside the pod, you’ll have a private patio with seating, perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or watching the sheep graze nearby. There’s private parking close to the pod, and plenty of space to relax in peace. One well-behaved dog (or two small) is welcome to stay at Honey Pod. We kindly ask that dogs are kept on a lead while outside to avoid roaming and to prevent unexpected encounters with other dogs who may not be quite as pleased to see them. For day trips, York city centre is just a short drive away, and the nearby Designer Outlet and Park & Ride make visiting even easier. Absolutely beautiful site, friendly people around us and the onsite pub food was amazing for one of the nights we visited (pie and gammon are 100% recommend). It was a quick drive from most places we had a day in barnard castle, and this is very pretty. Our dog loved his stay too everywhere we went was dog friendly, with plenty of dog walking spaces for him to run around. Our pod for 4 was very comfortable and picnic bench outside was ideal for breakfast cereal, bring your own cups bowls cutlery and plenty to keep kids busy we took board games and quizzes and he could watch YouTube on his phone. Glad there was a mini fridge kettle (for cuppas) and microwave (for popcorn) we left alcohol outside as it was cold enough overnight. I loved bird spotting on their fields too we will definitely book for the summer time

These pods are lush. There’s everything you’ll need (except bedding for the sofa bed - which is absolutely fine). It’s a beautiful location too. There were a few little bottles of wine on the table when we arrived, which was a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely quiet and well kept site. Would definitely recommend. Nice and peaceful location with private pitches for tourers and a large fairly flat field for camping. The dog walking field was an added bonus. 2x toilets and 2x showers for male and female visitors - were clean and modern. Washing up facilities and our touring pitch had electric and water. All good - would stay again. Good location for visiting different attractions and plenty of places to eat nearby.
