Cwmwye Camping is a small greener camping club site based just outside builth wells. The River Wye is only a short walk from the campsite where you will find the wye valley walk that runs north to south. On site we have communal fire pit, washing up area,gas shower and two compost toilets. Price of pitch includes firewood for fire pit.
We have lots of lovely walks around us and cycling routes including cycling route 8 which goes right passed the campsite entrance.
We are a greener camping site and it is £12 for membership which can be organised on arrival. Only one person needs to be a member with in you're group.

Everything here is off-grid for a low as impact to nature as possible - although a reliable 4G signal is on hand for those absolutely necessary connections ;-)

Beautiful scenery all around and always left clean and tidy. David the host is friendly and helpful, he stopped and chatted for a little while. I had the place to myself for a second time! There's Plenty of animals and wildlife around too, horses ducks kites bats and squirrels!

This place is a gem. It’s in the forest, super peaceful, and the pitches are literally 3 steps from the water. I’m not exaggerating you could fish from your tent.
Really easy to find too, which is great because my sense of direction is about as reliable as a chocolate teapot. And if you’re the type to forget tent pegs, gas, or, I don’t know, actual food like me, the shop’s only 5 mins away. Saved my bacon. Literally I forgot bacon.
The river and the owls double as white noise during the night drowning out anything else. Slept like a rock.

I stayed on David land and he was very kind and welcoming, I got to know his horse George and muched out the Stall and walked George on his head halter and lead and also was allowed to feed and brush him and clean his hooves, I was very much in my eliminates, wildlife and so much nature

Such a great campsite with gorgeous views and super quiet with different options to set up pitch with or without vehicle. Toilets were clean and warm showers. Farm shop was a little walk through the woods so you don’t get the hustle and bustle from that at all but still have access to food/drink by foot although the site is very near local shops by car too. Lovely little walk marked out too to wander around the farm. Staff at the shop & check in were super friendly and helpful, we felt really welcomed!!

Nice piece of land with a wild camp feel. I met Dave when I arrived, he seemed like a lovely chap.
The field will be muddy when wet so if you’re in a van beware. I chose to spend my second night on the hard standing as it was very wet and I’m glad I did. Even if I avoided getting stuck I would have churned up the ground pretty badly
Lots of fire pits dotted around which was really convenient for a camp fire

Had an absolutely magical two night stay here for our anniversary. The bed is super comfy. The bath was so relaxing I'm afraid it might have ruined every other bath for me from here on out! The outdoor shower is superb, I've never felt so relaxed and energised.
The area is absolutely beautiful, we went for a walk on the gorgeous bluebell woods and the woodland commons.
Hostess was super friendly and helpful, I can't recommend it enough.
