Absolutely perfect, though not for everyone, luckily! Peaceful - meadows, birds, clover, butterflies, grasses, insects, moonlight. Spent a good while searching for the green woodpecker, but could only hear her. Couldn't drag myself away from the campsite!

The pitches are integrated into the meadows - crop circles in long grass. Lots of wildlife, birds and butterflies. Good facilities too

Lovely clean, spacious camping site, Friendly hosts and in a great location. River Trent next door, lovely walk along the canal & lovely garden centre opposite. In fact we liked it so much we stayed an extra night 😊

A fairly small camp ground with a beautiful big barn containing couches, TV, table, fridge, water and home like showers and toilets.
Outside the barn there was a picnic table and a hut further along with a fire place that you could sit around and cook food.
I did get a bit lost on my way there but the hosts were able to sort me out. When I did arrive they showed me around the place and explained where everything was and how it all worked.
I shared the camp ground with only one other person and had a very pleasant time, so maybe consider booking during the quieter times of the week.

Views and location was amazing, we had such a lovely time just enjoy the scenery and the peace and quiet.
Camp site has everything you need.

Beautiful setting. If you want to get back to nature this is the place for you!
We were a large family group celebrating three birthdays and it’s perfect to pitch up for campers
and campervanners.
The toliets are great and the shower was hot.
My only feedback is to sort out the temperature of both showers so they run at a decent temp. One was cold and the other was too hot.
And more bins on site so you can recycle more easily - food / non food. You’re encouraged to recycle at home as it’s a greenfield site.
We’ll be back for sure!

Abbey Home Farm Campsite is a real find if you’re looking for a peaceful, rural getaway. I loved the quietness and natural feel of the site – it’s surrounded by countryside and feels properly off-grid in the best way.
It’s particularly great for families with young children. The site limits cars and doesn’t allow dogs, which made it feel really safe and relaxed for our kids to explore and enjoy the outdoors. There’s a gentle, welcoming atmosphere throughout.
The on-site shop and café were excellent – stocked with fresh, organic produce and really tasty food. Everything is thoughtfully done and clearly in tune with the farm’s ethos.
I had to delay my trip at the last minute, and the team were incredibly understanding, letting me shift the booking and even stay on extra days. That kind of flexibility and kindness made a big difference.
There are beautiful walks straight from the site and plenty of local amenities nearby if needed – although honestly, once you’re there, you might not want to leave.
Highly recommend for anyone looking to unplug and enjoy a slower pace in a gorgeous, family-friendly setting.

It was a lovely setting with Little Egrets nesting in the local woodland. We had nothing but nature in front of our tent with minimal other campers for a bank holiday weekend.

We had a lovely time. The campsite is great and the facilities clean. The views were amazing and there was lots of space. I would definitely recommend the site.
Worth noting the check-in time is 5pm. We were a bit late but found everyone helpful. it could have been difficult to sort though if we hadnt lucked out. So make sure you speak to them!

We stayed in the glade glamping huts. On arrival we were greeted by Petra who is super friendly and helpful. Thr glade huts are lovely and comfortable and offer everything you need , they are set in a private area so you feel like you're in your own little woodland retreat with lovely views over a meadow with beautiful grey horses as neighbours. We loved the fire pits and egg chairs.

This was a great find and I had a lovely 2 nights at Abbey Farm! I was in a small van, the field for vans is at the top and surrounded by hedgerows, it is still lovely but without the amazing views you would have with a tent. The site is no vehicles which is totally understandable. Having walked around I can imagine the area with the pitches cut in the flower meadow will be absolutely stunning in a few weeks when the flowers come through! I sat there last night and watched the sunset, listening to the birds, the lambs, what’s not to love over the rolling hills! There were hares running around this morning too.
There is a walk through the woods to the farm shop and cafe.
The facilities were as described, the 2 showers were heated, they are in a wooden structure in the woods, but there is something quite nice about hearing the birds chirp away whilst your in the shower. The toilets are long drop composting loos, they were clean enough, and were cleaned whilst I was there, you will need your own loo roll and hand sanitiser though.
It really is a gem of a campsite and one that I’ll definitely return to.
