Weekend Trip to Abberton Shepherds Hut
Lovely little weekend stay in this beautiful hut kitted with everything you would need. So peaceful, we loved waking up to the farm views and having a warm coffee in the cosy bed with the fire on ❤️☺️
There's lots of warm pubs with great food an easy walk away, a shop just 4 mins drink and loads to do nearby if you'd like to venture further.

Had an incredible few days at lloyds meadow, my husband did some fishing while I relaxed and crocheted, the campsite was clean and quiet, we even caught the meteor shower on Tuesday evening along with the northern lights. Sarah was an incredible host, always checking we had everything we needed, and very friendly.

Weekend Trip to Abberton Shepherds Hut
This was a fabulous shepherds hut with every need catered for. The craftsmanship is beautiful and all the equipment and amenities were first class. Beautifully decorated and all the local and interesting information was carefully provided in an easy to access folder. The location is absolutely stunning with lots of outdoor equipment such as seating and bbq and a pizza oven to enjoy in the hot weather. The view is stunning and the surrounding countryside has great walks and places of interest. We will hopefully return.

We had a fantastic stay at Broadleaves. Kerry and Rupert have thought of every small detail to make the stay so comfortable. They were there to greet us and made us feel so welcome.
We stayed for 2 nights as a family of 4 with a dog and will definitely be returning.
The facilities are great quality and the location is stunning.
I have already been recommending them to family and friends.

Weekend Trip to Chilled Out Adult Only Glamping
Lloyds meadow what a beautiful place! As soon as we got here Sarah made us feel very welcomed showing us around and explaining everything that we needed, the bell tents were so clean and cozy. I can now see why the bed is award winning as I had the best sleep ever it was so comfortable! Little touches as ringing the bell for any help and bringing us fire wood whenever we needed it made us feel at home and welcomed. Lloyds meadow is the perfect get away and I would definitely highly recommend to anyone, it’s close to Chester town and has lovely bars and cafes nearby! Cannot fault in any way! Thankyou for having us, will definitely be coming back again! P.S we also made friends with the neighbours they were very welcoming also!!! ( the ducks & goats) xxx Beth and Dec

Weekend Trip to Chilled Out Adult Only Glamping
Cannot fault our stay with Lloyds Meadow. 1st time we have glamped after years of camping and I don’t think I could go back to normal camping after such a wonderful experience here. Sarah was the best host we’ve ever had. Attentive, knowledgeable and nothing was too much to ask to ensure our stay was the best. We added the fire pit package and breakfast hamper which did not disappoint. Sitting out by the fire into the night, secluded and surrounded by nature & all of the wonderful sounds made for an unforgettable and addicting experience. (We will be back 100%)! We had a fishing peg on the stunning small lake just outside the tent entrance which also didn’t disappoint. Packed with Roach, Bream and some specimen Carp. All really good fun on light tackle. Let’s not forget the goats, who you can let out of the pen if you wish and they follow you around! What a great additional experience. There is also a pub which serves excellent food within a very short walking distance. The showers and toilets onsite were very clean & the best I’ve found on any site. Hats off to Sarah and Dan, who have created the perfect combination of real connection to nature, combined with the luxuries camping lacks sometimes. The beds in the tents are extremely comfy too. Catriona’s shepherds hut is a truly brilliant glamping find!
I took my six year old daughter for a two-night stay and we loved it. The hut is so cleverly designed, with everything you need. It was warm and cosy, and the beds were so comfortable.
The enclosed garden is great for children, and the visits from beautiful Evie the collie dog were a highlight. We ordered a breakfast hamper too which was excellent.
We did a couple of day trips - Eastnor Castle and Warwick Castle. Both very good spots with lots going on for children.
My daughter and I loved our adventure - we even had a visit from the tooth fairy while we there! :-)
Thank you Catriona for such a lovely stay. We can’t wait to return. Highly recommend!

Plus point easy access from main road, enough parking space, plenty of walks around, spacious and all the required facilities in top notch quality. Where to go
North Cannock Chase
The wooded valleys of the Punch Bowl, Seven Springs, and Abraham’s Valley are ideal for exploring on foot, by bike, or on horseback, and there are more than 80 miles of bridleways to discover. Hike along the Cannock Chase Circular Walk to see Fairoak Pool and the Stepping Stones; visit the 17th-century stately home and gardens of Shugborough Hall, a National Trust property; then park your motorhome at a quiet family campground.
Central Cannock Chase
Rugeley sits on the eastern edge of the AONB, affording easy access to the hiking and horseback riding trails of Cannock Chase Forest. Nearby, Birches Valley Forest Centre is a hit with mountain bikers, as well as offering Segway rides and a Go Ape Treetop Adventure course, or you can escape the crowds to wander the heathlands of Sherbrook and Oldacre Valleys.
South Cannock Chase
Cannock and Hednesford are the gateways to the southernmost stretch of Cannock Chase AONB, which is dotted with historic sites. Dive into the region’s fascinating WWI history at the Museum of Cannock Chase, marvel at the Iron Age hill fort of Castle Ring, or head to Chasewater Country park to ride the Chasewater heritage railway and go kayaking or paddleboarding on the lake.
