It was a very nice spot close to town in a secluded area even though the land borders a highway. It was extremely quiet and peaceful. Gerald was very accommodating and knowledgeable. Thanks for a great camp spot!

This was a very nice camp site right outside of Cody. It was private with a lot of trees. We met the owner briefly and she was so nice. The sun is direct about 4pm to 6pm so it was nice to have our own shade. The only challenge we had was that it is a tough entry with a hill and a sharp right turn at the top to get in parking position. We have a 25 ft travel trailer and it was almost too long to make it. I strongly suggest you stop and walk up the hill to see what you need to do. This is a nice site with a tough entry but great when you get parked. Scott from Austin, TX.

I would highly NOT recommend this site to anyone pulling a trailer! I have a 22ft travel trailer and after reading the owner's description and the reviews, I though I would be ok. The "driveway" to get to the site is absolutely ridiculous. I have a 3/4 ton full size van and I have taken my rig into numerous sketchy spots, but this one almost got me. The hill is very steep and there is a very tight turn at the top. In addition, the gravel is washed out so there are huge ruts 6-8 inches deep and the trees are extremely overgrown. On my first attempt, my tires were spinning as I barely made it up there, only to find out that I didn't take the turn wide enough. So I had to go back down and try again. I eventually made it but it is really frustrating when the overgrown pine trees rake streaks all the way down the side of your camper because it's the only way to make the turn and avoid washouts. If the driveway wasn't bad enough, the hookups for the trailer were questionable at best. Everything did work, but this whole setup is clearly an afterthought and there is no logic to it whatsoever. That being said, the host was quick to respond through the app and it was in good proximity to Cody. We needed a place to stay for one night as we passed through, and that's what we got. There is some road noise from the road above the site, as others have mentioned. I would never return but if you are in a single vehicle (no trailer) and need a quick place to stop, I guess it's an option.

Great spot to getaway! We had a 20ft travel trailer and our 2 dogs. My husband was able to back into the spot no problem and we enjoyed our 3 day weekend. Gerald was a great resource for some tips on hiking and recent bear activity. He takes the dog on leash policy seriously. We typically like to let our dogs run but his land his rules. We would gladly return to this spot!

We found this RV place in our way to Yellowstone to spend the night and was a perfect choice
Gerald was out of town but he sent his daughter to check everything was ok
Full hook up worked perfectly and picnic table was perfect to eat

Great hosts. So friendly and the campsite was perfect for us. Very private yet on the edge of town which was super handy for bars, restaurants and shopping. This was our first experience with this type of site. Would definitely do it again.

This hipcamp spot is in a great location. Gerald, the host met us upon arrival and was very informative and cordial. Highway traffic was a bit noisy during the day but quiet at night. The spot was private and had some pretty trees surrounding the area. Thanks Gerald.

This is a single campsite on private property just a couple of miles from downtown Cody. The site is gravel and level and has water and electric available. The area around the site is grassy with a nice large wooden deck surrounded by trees and shrubs making it feel private and cozy. It is located in a nice community and felt very safe and secluded.

Great little spot to stay overnight before heading off to Yellowstone National Park. Beautiful sunrise. The highway does pass by close so there is some road noise but earplugs helped drown it out. Gerald came out and greeted us on arrival which was nice.

Had a very nice stay. I would recommend this location. I have a full size truck and 19’ travel trailer. I was able to maneuver the turn to get the trailer backed in without much trouble. Electric, sewer, water were all good.

Gerald was great! He was very communicative and welcoming. I loved touring his studio and hearing the stories of his classic Saabs too. It's a single site, perfect for our 20' trailer. It was nice having the sewer hookup at the site too. The driveway is steep and could be challenging for some rigs. There is some traffic noise but it's conveniently located about 5 min from downtown Cody. We would definitely stay again!

We were so appreciative of our host responding quickly to our last minute request, especially as he was away. There’s a steep hill to access the spot but once there it’s an absolute pleasure. We had no difficulty getting up the hill in our sprinter campervan. Communication was great and it’s clear that a lot of consideration has gone in to creating a comfortable place to be. We’d definitely stay again.

If you want a private neighborhood location with quick access to town, this is the place.
This site is situated next to a highway but it gets pretty quiet at night so it wasn't any bother. Communication by our host was great...unfortunately we missed meeting Gerald in person and wished we could have enjoyed his artwork

Above all is generosity was amazing. He was a very nice gentleman. He lead us in the right direction on our site seeing adventures. His campsite was easy to access with our Dodge Ram. Very peaceful and an easy setup. Would definitely stay again if ever out his way again.
