. These are unique camping spots along the Guadalupe River. I didn’t exactly understand how unique until I started getting feedback from my campers. The surrounding scenery will lower your blood pressure and do wonders to let you reconnect with nature. Sit back and close your eyes late in the evening and listen to all the wildlife talking to each other. There is faint traffic noise from 90A about a 1/3 of a mile away but it calms down after 7 or so. Currently no amenities but I am in the plans for some portable bathrooms. Please be prepared to cover all your bathroom and cooking needs. I do have some good clean well water from a faucet on the way into the campgrounds. Campfires are permitted. There is a convenience store (Diamond A) with clean bathrooms and a great bbq just 5 miles to the west on 90A and a Walmart and HEB 10 miles to the east on 90A. (Both Diamond A and Walmart sell fishing licenses if you need one. Dogs are allowed at sites 3 and 4 but not at 1 or 2 where my livestock guardian dogs have access to. No matter the size or temperament of your pets you are always expected to have them under your control at ALL times. I have very small livestock in the area frequently I am almost always on the property and try to have my phone with me while campers are on site, just let me know what you need and I will do what I can to accommodate you. Secluded Guadalupe Riverside. Beautiful gentle sloping river front beach area. Dogs are welcome but please let me know ahead of time details of your dogs and be able to keep them under your control at all times. There may be small livestock in thee area that are vulnerable to high energy dogs. Currently there is a small bbq pit for campers to use on the site and a seperate above ground fire pit. Great catfish fishing. I have several kayaks and Jon boats available on the property. Please bring your own life jackets if you have them, but I do have a selection of life jacket sizes. Firewood is available for $15 for mixed wood, pecan, sycamore and chinaberry, and $20 for just split pecan wood. You are welcome to bring your own if you already have some.

Secluded stretch of the Guadalupe river. A beautiful Pecan grove river bottom. This site is the largest on the property and can accommodate large groups. You will be sharing the area with the sheep and goats which may roam by. I have 2 metal chairs and a fire pit with grill at the site. I do have 3 other campsites on property but they are mostly out of sight. I have several kayaks and Jon boats available on the property. Please bring your own life jackets if you have them. Firewood is available for $15 for mixed wood, pecan sycamore, and chinaberry, and $20 for just split pecan wood.

This site is right along the river, with convenient foot access down to water, but too steep for larger boats. There is a launching area a couple hundred yards away. There is plenty of space to accommodate large groups and much of the campsite is under a shady pecan canopy. I have several kayaks and Jon boats available on the property. Please bring your own life jackets if you have them. Firewood is available for $15 for mixed wood, pecan, sycamore, and chinaberry, and $20 for just split pecan wood. You are welcome to bring your own if you already have some.

This site is large and has place of space for large groups and multiple vehicles.This is the only site that has electric hook up. (30 amp). ($15 a night for electric hookup) It is right on the river, offering great views, but above a steep bank where access isn't very easy. The site is only a few hundred yards away from a beach area where boats are available to launch. There are usually campers close by these areas so not meant for hanging out, just launching and docking boats.  I have several kayaks and Jon boats available on the property. Please bring your own life jackets if you have them. Firewood is available for $15 for mixed wood, pecan, sycamore, and chinaberry, and $20 for just split pecan. You are welcome to bring your own if you already have some.

Perfect escape with great fishing and plenty of privacy. The hosts were very welcoming and accommodating. Highly recommend this spot for anyone who just loves to be outside.

Camping with Dogs!

I hosted a dog mom camping trip with a few of my friends and it was the perfect location. Secluded from the other campsites and right on the Guadalupe river. All of our dogs enjoyed the river and we enjoyed the spots under the shade! Truly an amazing place to spend time with friends.

What an amazing piece of property. It’s on a lazy bend of the Guadalupe and the owner lent us a John boat to take my son out fishing. There are numerous mature pecan trees and it’s just beautiful. It would be perfect were it not for the occasional road noise from Highway 90, and we were camping pretty far away. Not the owners fault obviously. He was a tremendous host; this place is a 9.5/10 with the only flaw keeping it from perfection being the occasional road noise.

A Hidden Gem!

The host was amazing and the property was fantastic. We had the site with power and enjoyed picking pecans and watching the wildlife. It was the kind of nature reset we needed. Don't tell too many people 😉

This is a wonderful place to camp. I went with some friends, and the site we were on (Pecan orchard river bottom) was perfect. It has a large, open, flat area with plenty of trees (and some great hammock spots) high enough above a calm river that there is no worry of the river rising, with good access to a sandy riverside. This spot would be great for families - I plan on trying to get my family down here soon. You could do quite a large group on this site, and still feel quite isolated, despite having quick access to the road, and a gas station / BBQ place only a few minutes away. The proprietor (Billy) was super easy to communicate with, very responsive, and kept us informed of everything we needed to know. I highly recommend this location, and this host!

Billy is a welcoming, warm host who sets your expectations upon arrival. His sheep and goats wandered through a few times and it was magical. We got to fish and relax and our spot was private. The trees on the property are beautiful and old and shady. Great weekend!

I picked Billy land for my first experience of camping and I’m 102% going back. Billy’s hospitality is great. While I was there I witnessed colorful dragonflies, armadillos, goats and the river flowing with fish. At area (4) River bottom there were kayaks and a canoe with life jackets so you can go on the water. The whole scenery was just amazing.

I tent camped right by the river and the site had multiple clean firepits. The site also had kayaks and a raft. It was beautiful, well maintained, and there were no sounds of other humans or music. In the morning, the beautiful cows and their dog companions were by one of the shores about 300 yards away. The host Billy and his helper were very communicative and accommodating. If you want peace and tranquility, this is the property so long as it continues to be respected and clean.

The best river spot in Texas

We had another great trip on this property, kayaking up and down the river all day, enjoying a light rain and had the place to ourselves for the weekend. I highly recommend this spot. They have well water, firewood for purchase and kayaks to rent.

All the Pecan trees were amazing to camp under with an awesome view of the river. Fire pit burning at night while listening to all the critters off in the distance was cool. It was serene and relaxing. Billy was a great host.

Loved the location! Shady forested area right on the Guadalupe, easy access to the water. We chose a bad time to camp because of rain and night time temperature made sleeping rough, but we made the best of it! We will definitely come back to this campsite. My only critique is the ants were plentiful, we had ant piles pop up in the middle of our campsite overnight. We will bring some ant killer next time we come if Billy will allow it, otherwise, we had a great time!

The campsites are super spread out and very quiet with pretty easy access to the river. Billy was extra extraordinarily accommodating. I would highly recommend this campground!

We loved Billy’s land! The only note I’ll make that is obvious but worth a mention, the drop off to the water is just as steep as it looks and is hard to manage with a toddler! If you are hoping to be more hands off I would go for his other sites!

Beautiful Spot by the River

Our overnight camping trip to Billy’s was a last-minute decision — and we’re so glad we made it! Everything was exactly as pictured, and we had a wonderful time on his beautiful property. We spent the day fishing and taking advantage of the Jon boat and kayak right by the shore. We cooked over an open flame with wood we purchased directly from Billy, which made the experience even better. The weather was perfect, the company was even better, and the sweet sounds of nature were truly the cherry on top. Thank you, Billy, for sharing your little slice of heaven with us — we can’t wait to come back!

Billy's place is beautiful. He has the sites spread out so there is lots of privacy. Great view of the rive, big shady trees, and enjoyed the sheep grazing through. Easy walk to access to the Guadalupe River. Looking forward to next time.

Peaceful and private camping spot with lots of space. I appreciated the fire pit a small grill to do some camp cooking. Would definitely book again!
