Marten River Escapes offers six waterfront campsites with 30 amp hydro service and three non waterfront campsites, one with 30 amp and two with 50 amp service. A couple are seasonal sites, most are transient sites. All have access to potable water faucets. A shared comfort station with flush toilets and showers with hot on demand water is centrally located. There is no sewer connections but we do have a honey wagon and guests can access dumping into our onsite septic tank.
We also have one rustic glamping cabin in the campground area and a new 14 unit building under construction on the southeast portion of the property. There is an on site restaurant offering dine-in, patio seating, and take out service. (seasonally operated - hours vary depending on the season)
In addition to the amenities available on the campsite you will also have access to enjoy the common shared areas of the property. Our property boasts 1000' of waterfront surrounded by crown land. We have a new shared dock with Muskoka chairs and a (typical Northern Ontario) swimming area in our semi-secluded bay. We recommend water shoes for those who go swimming and to bring a fishing rod (and fishing license) if you want to give that sport a go. A sunshade pergola was just added to the main dock area with several other seating areas scattered around the property providing relaxing water views and spectacular sunsets, all available for your enjoyment.
There is a large open area to enjoy a game of frisbee or other lawn games. We also have a few water toys. A canoe, a kayak, a peddle boat and two small (fishing type) motor boats are available for a small rental FEE. You must have a valid boaters license in order to be able to rent the motor boat. All water equipment renters must sign a renters agreement prior to use. Due to sizing and proper fit, for safety we do recommend guests bring their own life jackets/pfd's but we do have some that can be used.
We have a private boat launch and for a small extra fee you can reserve a dedicated boat slip space during your stay for your own personal watercraft. Boats or other water toy equipment are NOT to be left on the shore. A few local public boat launches into different lakes are also nearby.
For those powersports enthusiasts (ATV's, SXS etc.) there are 100's of km's of crown land trails accessible from our property. We do NOT rent ATV's.
There is space to park ONE passenger vehicle along with your rv/trailer or tents on each campsite. VERY large trucks will limit the usable lawn space available on the site. Extra passenger vehicles and/or equipment trailers must park in overflow parking.

What a wonderful place to stay. Very safe and peaceful. Clean facilities; rustic but tastefully decorated. Would love to come back and stay longer. Jane is a delightful and responsive host. Word to the wise, though, use the physical address for GPS, not the Hipcamp app.

This was a cozy little spot along the lake. Close to the road, but the traffic was not a bother to us. It was great to have the option to use the showers/bathrooms on site! Most importantly, the hosts were extremely kind and generous and made us feel right at home!

Beautiful spot with plenty of room to spread out. We loved having a bathroom and taking a walk along the mowed trails to stretch our legs. This is a farm turned into an event space for weddings and such.
We had a hard time finding it, the link sent with a pin to the location is incorrect. We had to call the host and get better directions.

The host was super nice and friendly. She had a beautiful space with ample room for tents, all on nice grassy flat land. The property was absolutely gorgeous, bathrooms/showers were incredible, and the best thing overall was the cutest friendliest cat ever, Ruben. 10/10 would recommend!!!

My friend and I tented it on a Friday night. Beautiful spot and very private. We were lucky enough to have the whole place to ourselves. A bit noisy at night with the hwy being right there, the only drawback. Hospitality was great. Not much signage, but gps will bring you to the 2 pylons set up and make a left to enter the property.

Beautiful place, super flat and good for camping.
I would recommend having directions downloaded as not much service on way up.
Directions were a little tricky and unclear,
Go to rue Des duplex ( post says 499 but don’t bother looking for that it doesn’t exist )
Follow road all the way to the end, it will look like dead end but it actually goes downhill in the dirt area, very rough path be careful as I got stuck twice.
Just follow Rue Des Duplex all the way and you’ll find it, there’s 2 camping sites I’d personally recommend the top one especially due to how hard it is to get the vehicle in and out on the bottom site.
Overall beautiful, quiet, nice camping spot.
… I personally don’t think an RV is a good idea here lol.

If I could give Stone Oaks Farm 30 out of 10, I would! I had a wonderful stay at Stephany's farm (during the winter, too! When most Hipcamp spots are closed!) Stephany was so friendly, responsive, and welcoming - she really set the standard for Hipcamp experiences (this was my first one and Stephany went above and beyond any expectations!) Absolutely love that it's a dog-friendly space (my dogs got to meet their horses and duck! Omgosh, my heart!) I'll never forget this experience and Stephany's generosity and kindness. There needs to be more people like this in the world. Would absolutely stay here again and have already recommended this place to other campers, roadtrippers, and animal lovers! Thank you, Stephany! (And Amy for the lovely tour of the farm!)
