Willow Lane Farm is a Heritage Breed Poultry farm that runs a
small rescue/sanctuary for livestock.
The Main farm is situated on 60 acres which backs onto crown land.
There's open fields, forest, wetlands and paddocks full of all sorts of animals.
Towards the back, there's
several small ponds and a river that runs through the property.
Located in the north east corner of Sudbury, in the town of Hanmer, Ontario.
Sudbury is known as the Blueberry Capitol.
The small mining town has grown into a good sized city which is situated in a crater.
It's prime location is a haven for geologists, blueberry pickers, snowmobilers, and fishermen. With over 50 lakes close by, and lots of ATV/sled trails, it's a great recreational place with lots to do or sit back and enjoy the peaceful scenery.
Animals are welcomed. And Paddock space is available for Horses, riders and eventers looking for a place to stop over, rest or excersize their livestock.

Welcome to our family-friendly farm! We are open year-round and are located in Hanmer, Ontario in the Greater Sudbury area. While staying with us, we encourage you to take a farm tour, try the petting zoo or enjoy the scenery.
With over 60 acres of farmland, our private and secluded campsites are level and are ideal for any type of camping, from tents to large RVs and everything in between, we can accommodate anyone looking to get outside and enjoy the outdoors. The property offers flat farm fields that back onto wooded areas with a river, pond, and nearby hiking trails!
A firepit is provided (Firewood available to purchase) and if you are planning on cooking we have pots and pans upon request. If you need water please feel free to fill up at the house. We also have an outhouse on site.
30 lakes are within a half-hour drive, great for fishing! Sudbury is in a crater, so there are lots of interesting rocks to see if geology interests you. We also have many trail plans for ATV and snow machines (permits required). Seasonal blueberry picking is also available on-site. We are only 10 minutes away from the Train Museum, a must-see while in the area!
Pets are always welcome, as are riders and their mounts.

Beautiful lakefront property with great access to the historical canoe routes in the area.Between the two of us, we've spent a combined 35 summers in the wilderness and on a canoe trip. We know the importance of real friendships, especially in the digital world. The outpost is very close to our hearts and that's a feeling we want to share with people. So when this piece of land went up for sale in the summer of 2020, we didn't think twice. Fast forward to today, where we continue to build upon what has meant so much to us for so long. THE PARK is a privately owned, off-grid piece of Northern Ontario with 1,000+ ft of river and lakefront, forest in all directions and thousands of acres of Crown land stretching northward.
It's a space to slow down, to be outside and to feel the magic of this wild land.
· The Main Lodge:
This is where your hosts live. We’re nearby if you need support or would like to enjoy one of our optional experiences - but otherwise we give you plenty of space to settle into the quiet.
The Lodge has access to the lake and dock. Paddle over from the river or let us show you the way on foot!
· Stay at THE PARK:
Overnight stays are currently offered at Cedar Site: a secluded riverfront campsite tucked among the evergreens at the far edge of the property, with trails leading into the surrounding forest just steps away.
· While You're Here:
The rest of THE PARK is yours to wander and explore. Follow the trails, climb the ridge, find the lookout, swim in the lake or settle around one of the fire pits.
Depending on the season, additional spaces and experiences may be available to book during your stay, including the lakefront sauna, our converted 1960s GMC school bus as a cozy warming space, or a silent guided hike to the ridge lookout with a fire waiting at the top.

It’s a beautiful place and very private - didn’t see anyone else during our three day stay on the weekend. The animals were cute, the firewood was cheap, the water tasted good, and the site fit our 3 person tent perfectly.
On the downside the mosquitos got pretty difficult in the evening and we could hear the highway traffic and noise from the neighbours from the site. Still, it was a good overall experience and we would definitely camp there again in the future.

The Park is the most amazing place I’ve ever camped! The land is beautiful, Geoff is extremely helpful and kind, even took us on a tour of the property😁 There’s everything you’d ever need here including foraging! He’s very accommodating to whatever your needs are for your stay to be as perfect as possible! You can enjoy your stay here with the most amount of privacy or community as your heart desires! We’re for sure going back as much as we can and couldn’t recommend Geoff’s property enough!!

I want to emphasize that the view is good, the fields are full of daisies, and different flowers, a nice carpet. Matt keeps lawn road to site 3 trim,pass site 1, 200 ft apart from each other. Water is good. Pond behind 3 has ducks, beavers, black herons, storks, red wing black birds,sparrows, swallows, and eagles with offspring, a hawk too. I used half can of raid to get mosquitoes of screens in mornings, seemed to keep them away! Light fire at night and that would suffice. If you like camping in the rough, this is a good time.

Really cool spot to camp, slightly tricky finding the site as we arrived at night time. Overall great, everything was clean and tidy, appreciate the buckets of water for the firepit before we got there.

Like last review ,but would add...if your outdoor camping enthusiasts,don't need electric gadgets,this is place is the place. Seen a bear back there, but I think it was lost, just kinda smiled. Bug spray a necessity, but light fire (your smiling). Esso , five kilometres, town mall 10.

Good quiet place,private. Hostess is good, Farmer Matt, water is available,ask Matt, and if she is busy or absent, cutting hay or picking up feed for animals, she'll direct you to water source. Beautiful fields with a variety of flowers and birds(eagles -hawks)and songbirds. Neighbors have horses feeding next door...and children will love turkeys,ducks, lambs, roosters . Big beavers in pond on site 3, black coumarants, ducks, storks. Back to nature. Enjoy campfire.

Matt has a connection with you via hipcamp app, animals, cutting hay in her fields and her neighbors, very clean sites, she keeps the road up too sites trimmed, very nice grass carpet going to sites,and beautiful fields for 100's of feet.Lots of water, just ask, or maybe Matt will show you to tap,just bring your containers(save some of your pop bottles). Beavers out back(huge), eagles in the sky,hawks, all kind of birds, the fields are dressed in flowers, apparently for the whole of summer. Bring the kids, the animals are just a short walk, and very safe place for the kids . Esso,s 5 kms away, center of Hamner, close by. Very nice...

Our family had a spectacular visit at The Park. Our campsite felt spacious and contained at the same time and the grounds were immaculate. You can easily see the care and devotion that Geoff and Amy pay to the land they caretake. When a thunderstorm broke out, they checked on us (and brought us dry firewood after). Highlights: backcountry feel with quick access to multiple communities, well curated trails, enough space for our tent trailer and room to play, multiple routes of egress to small charming communities, and gracious hosts who are eager to share the beauty that surrounds them with those who are eager to preserve it.

The most peaceful experience we have ever had, we were at camp site 1, from where we were you could not even hear the traffic go by. Farmer Matt is an absolute gem. Very knowledgeable about the animals on the farm, gave us an amazing tour and back ground of all the animals. Camp site was clean and she even stocked it up with everything you need for your stay. 100% would recommend camping here ! Thank you Farmer Matt for the amazing experience will definitely be back next time we are this way!!
