Arguably one of the most iconic views in Pemberton BC. A short drive to Whistler, secluded lakes, star gazing and epic mountain hikes. Flat grass camping with un obstructed views of Mount Currie and the neighbouring farm fields. Abundant wildlife including deer, coyotes and bears. This site has no services and is a place to camp for the night with a great view. No bathrooms so campers MUST have a RV with a toilet installed.

birkenfoodforest a perpetually unfinished art project in co creation with the beings that dwell and visit here along with sweet Mother Earth. Situated within St'at'imc Nation Traditional Territory. On an alluvial fan supporting a wide spectrum of diversity in the transition zone leaving coastal mountain rain forest, on the edge of semi arid. Bordered on the East by the flowing waters of Lakshmi. To the South, historical Portage road and Mars Xing, my neighbours dovetail log cabin, dated 1859 was once known as Johnnies RoadHouse. To the West the flowing waters of Saraswati and beyond the "Labyrinth" of bluffs known as Juniper Ridge rises to the alpine. To the North primary old growth forest housing a web of game trails connecting Birkenhead lake Provincial Park. This land was horse logged in the 50's, a few elder mother trees remain standing. There are many zones and edges. Including eighty year old Douglas Fir, Cedar, Douglas and Vine Maple,Maturing Cherry orchards, thickets of shrubs and herbaceous ones offering flowers and berries to the many birds and bees.In more recent years there has been much terrace work done offering meadows and forested camp spots, along with continued cultivation of perennial and annual foods and medicinals.

Trails in and out of South Chilcotin Mountain Park lead right to our ranch, making it an ideal spot to begin your adventure or rest before heading home. Youâre welcome to leave your car here during your backcountry stay.

Our ranch is on Gun Creek Road, close to Tyax Lake, 30 minutes from Gold Bridge and Bralorne. It is about 2 hours west of Lillooet or north of Pemberton (6 hours from Vancouver) on a remote road with paved and gravel sections and no cell service.
There is no cell service or TV at our location. WiâFi is usually available but cannot be guaranteed due to weather and other natural factors outside our control. We have access to a landline if urgent calls need to be made.
You are responsible for leaving the cabin/your room and the area around it clean and free of food and garbage. Each guest is responsible for cleaning the cabins when they leave, such as doing the laundry, washing all dishes. At the end of your stay, please bring all garbage to the main house so we do not attract critters and bears.â
We live in a true wilderness environment. The cabin water system uses filtered creek water and, though not common, there is always the possibility for water pressure to fluctuate.â
Weather and other variables can change quickly in the mountains. We expect guests to approach challenges with a positive, solutionâoriented mindset and to be respectful of nature, other guests and our team. We are experienced in dealing with natureâs challenges and will find a solution together.

This is a real, working farm. We grow vegetables, tend flowers, and live the seasons honestly. You might also meet Josh â our 3-year-old Samoyed, who takes his role as farm ambassador very seriously and will likely be the first to welcome you.
We have three types of stays: a stargazing glamping tent, RV hookup sites with mountain views, and open-sky tent campsites.
Pemberton sits in the Pemberton Valley, surrounded by Coast Mountains and glaciers. Within a short drive:

Stayed 3 nights so that we could explore Whistler and Pemberton. Lovely site with an amazing view of the mountains. Some road noise but it was quiet at night. Gabe was very friendly and a gracious host. We even saw a bear chased up a tree by a dog across the road! We were sad to leave the spot.

Absolutely beautiful spot, lots of space for kids, thoughtful details with multiple sets of seating and tables around sites. Lovely to be able to swim in the pool after hot days, and the sauna was a great surprise! Completely loved the outdoor shower. Would definitely stay here again.

The view and the spot is amazing! We highly recommend!! Quiet and peaceful place despite the road close by.
There is a cornhole game to play with and picnic tables. The land is super clean and very well maintained. The indications to get to the spot are very clear and we had not problem to find it.
The host, Gabe, is very responsive and very kind.
