Welcome to ELKS Beach, a charming recreation lot nestled along the shores of Lake Sammamish. Though not one acre in size (please note that the HipCamp app requires a minimum selection of 1 acre), our cozy spot offers a unique lakeside experience. Parking is conveniently situated a couple of blocks away, and the site is accessible via a walk-in/walk-out path connected to the East Lake Sammamish Trail. The terrain boasts a slightly sloped, rocky shoreline, providing direct no-bank access to the water for activities such as swimming, paddle-boarding, boating, fishing, and sunbathing. Please be aware that the site does not have utilities or hook-ups, embracing a rustic getaway experience. It can accommodate two tents and up to 6 people comfortably. On-site amenities include a firepit, picnic table, trash can, sun umbrella, a buoy, and camp chairs for your enjoyment. Additionally, a honeybucket is available in the parking lot for your convenience. Please note that the boat lift and on-site cabana are not available for camper use. There is no electricity so please be prepared to bring your own lighting. (There is a set of string lights in the tree that we put up for our personal use that requires our solar generator to use. Just a heads up that these aren’t intended to be part of the guest camping experience). Various chairs, paddle boards, tents and other items shown in images may belong to guests and are not all included in the rental. Please inquire if you have any questions regarding specifics of what is included. There is a family that keeps their boat on the lift out in front of the property, who may access their boat from time to time, and uses the South end of the site for access. This should be minimally disruptive, if at all, as they only use a small portion of the site for ingress/egress to their boat. Please note that Lake Sammamish is located in an urban area. This is not a remote lake or location, and as such, there are frequent boaters on the lake, active recreation on the water, and neighboring properties that occasionally have occupants, as well as the potential associated noise that comes with these things. Unfortunately, we cannot predict or control these things. That said, the vast majority of mornings at the site are very quiet and peaceful. **

Awesome stay right on lake sammamish for Labor Day weekend. Calan’s spot had a fire pit, floaties, tables, and umbrellas. The neighborhood was quiet, the sunset was stunning. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

This place is absolutely lovely. Owner was great with communication. We felt safe in the area and loved the fire pit and chairs that were provided. We swam in the lake and had a great time. Would absolutely come back!

Such a beautiful place, the view is amazing! The sunset was gorgeous. Falling asleep and waking up to the sounds of the water was magical! It’s a pretty easy walk to the site. There is a little hill you go down from the parking lot so packing up to go home took a bit more energy but still so worth it. (I should mention that i’m a big comfort camper so we probably brought a lot more things than the average person, probably why it was a lot harder to lug it all back up🤣) I loved seeing the plane/boat things taking off and landing in the water, I had never seen one before! I was a bit disappointed that the string lights didnt work. I had read a review a few months back mentioning the same thing so I assumed they’d be fixed. Really not a big deal i’m just a string lights lover lol. Make sure to bring your own lights! Also, there was a bit of glass on the ground. Thankfully we noticed it pretty quickly so we avoided any cuts or potentially damaging our camping supplies. It seemed pretty dull, it may have washed up from the water?🤷🏼‍♀️ I don’t blame the host for this because it was clear and hard to see! I only noticed it as I was on the ground setting up my tent. I would definitely stay here again as long as my bank account allows it! Definitely on the pricier side but so worth it! We took a friend who was visiting from New Mexico and he was mesmerized! Thank you for having us!

We booked this site over the 4th of July, and it was a beautiful spot. private yet close to anything needed that may be forgotten. The lake is clear and pretty. The property was kind enough to allow sparklers and the firework show around the lake was spectacular! A lot of amenities are provided or can be added on, which helps save space on the trip over. We are a family of 4 with 2 medium-large dogs. The space was enough for our 6 person tent, a shaded tent, and a bathroom/shower tent. We filled it up, but it worked! We ended up having to leave early, due to our dogs. They have terrible camping manners we found out, and they were sucking the fun out of it. The host was amazing all the way around. amazing with booking, and questions about the 4th. Amazing when they heard why we packed up early, and offered us a return stay when/if theres a better time for our family. Very friendly family who is very gracious for sharing this space with others! Highly recommend!

Great spot to spend a couple hot Seattle days on the water. Nice small private beach with picnic table and seating. Host was quickly responsive and we appreciated the late check out to soak up more rays

Amazing and serene property

Was searching for a camp spot with fishing access and came upon Calans property at elks beach. Directions getting to the property were easy to follow. Plenty of parking. Once I arrived to the site I was instantly amazed at how clean and serene it was. I enjoyed every second of my stay. Will definitely be booking again!! Also a great fishing spot.

I loved this spot. Nice to have a more private beach area so close to the city. Would definitely stay here again. The only things that could have been better is the lighting situation. All bulbs except one where burnt out so we just had to rely on our own light sources. It was so nice to be able to add on s’more stuff and wood. I just wish there would have been skewers. I didn’t bring any bc I just assumed it would come with it but overall great place to stay. Host was very responsive and helpful with location

Being so close to the water (8 steps from our tent) was #1 for me. Hearing the waves crash at night, slept like a baby. The site was clean and with lots of additional goodies, tents, floaties. Two handy trash bins and it looked like the whole site has been raked. Definitely be back, maybe not take so much and leave the kitchen sink at home. Contact with the host was constant and responsive. Information given to get there was spot on. Thanks for a lovely getaway. Kelly, Sam, Daniel, Alicia.

Such a unique place just steps away from the city! But it felt like I was camping on a lake in the countryside instead. I enjoyed watching the sunset, being able to swim, and relax all in my own private area. The lake itself was not too busy and the walking path was a stunning stroll. You have to bring all your stuff down to the campsite but it was only a 3 minute walk from the parking lot, so no hassle at all. Plus there is a very well maintained and cleaned port-a-potty located in the parking lot as well. Calan was super kind to have floaties ready for me to use, garbage can and other basics like chairs, picnic table and umbrellas for extra shade. Had a wonderful night here, will definitely come back to stay and swim in the lake again!

A cute little hidden beach right off the Lake Sammamish trail. It was perfect for taking my son who is new to camping and kind of nervous about it. It's also right in the middle of civilization, so it's easy to cheat and go out to eat. We had a really fun time. The hosts were also great. Highly recommended.

Calan was a great host! Responsive when we had a question, had a beautiful set up, and it was perfect for our family gathering. Most of us flew in from out of town, and it was nice to have a campsite not far from a major airport.
