Great site! Hot tub not working
Site was great and very private. We just got the site, not the tree house part. There's A little stream you have to cross when you first enter the property and that's how you know you got to the right place. We got to cross it just fine with our Honda HRV, it's shallow.
Kayaked along the creek and had some cattle follow us along the bank for a ways.
Used the pizza oven, which was fun, but failed to cook our dough on parchment paper long enough and put it back in with the toppings w/o the paper and it stuck bad to the stone and we had a terrible time getting it to rotate or even pulling it out.
Wood heated hot tub leaked faster than we could heat it, as of January 2023. Filled it to the brim and tried heating for 3 hours. By then it was bit less than half full and top couple inches were lukewarm and under that was still cold. But I told them about it and they said they would try and fix the leak. Still, would have taken a lot longer to heat it all up I think.

Had a great time at this location. Plenty of space and clear water. Went kayaking, baked a pizza and absolute was a great getaway from the big city. Only thing I was really bummed about was the hot tub was damaged from prior visit so wasn't able to use. Looking forward to return and actually get the full experience this place has to offer. Highly recommend

This is a really great campsite! Hosts are SO nice. Like truly kind, genuine people. The creek was cool in temperature which I loved. It was great water. I laid out on one of the sand beaches for a couple hours and washed myself in the creek. My friend caught a little bass without any fancy bait or anything. We know nothing about fishing, haha. The decent from from where you park to where you camp wasn't too bad, they have some beams as stairs for you. We used a wagon which helped a lot, but you should have people when bringing it down.
The creek was accessible, but if you have any issues with your ankles or knees, you will probably have trouble. I have a big issue with my ankle, but I just sat on my butt and went down. And then I climbed back up on hands and knees until I could grab the rope to help me up the rest of the way. It was fun! I am just saying so that you know. I wish I took a couple photos, but I am so bad at that.
The fire pit was great! And there was a rain water tank at the top of the hill that provides (non-potable) running water for your dishes and to clean your body off. That was awesome. 10/10 would stay again.
Their son brought us firewood for a charge and he was the sweetest thing!!

Lovely spot!
My friends and I loved our trip here! Hosts are super lovely. We definitely took advantage of the coal fire oven and made pizzas (although we burnt ours a few times lol). Kelly helped us make the fire for the oven on our first night...super sweet! The animals on the property were special to witness. Overall, we enjoyed our trip here and would definitely love to be back!

Tree house on Creek
Very private so you won't be bothered by other campers. The pizza oven was a nice touch, my son really enjoyed it. I do think they should allow parties bigger than two even if it cost more. The treehouse only fits two but there was more than enough room to set up a tent. Overall I really enjoyed it.

Beautiful & Spacious...plus PIZZA
Our group really enjoyed spending the weekend here for our yearly camping trip. The space is so unique and cozy, and clearly well thought out. We had a blast making pizzas in the pizza oven and spent a whole day hanging out at the creek. We also bought fresh eggs from Matt & Gina and they were delicious. There is lots of wildlife around and we enjoyed watching the cows come down to the creek to drink water. We'd definitely come back here in the future and highly recommend it, especially for big groups. It's the only site and has plenty of space for several tents. We had 3 set up, an 8 person tent, a 4 person, and a 2 person, and could have easily fit a couple more if needed.

Wonderful site. We has to cut our stay short unfortunately but we hope to go back soon. My husband caught all kinds of fish, enjoyed the pizza oven and my kids loved the creek. The owner is very nice and gave great directions. A nice young man brought us some firewood. The creek is a little tricky to get to especially after rain. Bring water shoes with good grips. We will definitely be back.

Serenity in the Woods
This was our second time here, and we loved it. We canoed to the swimming hole to the right each day. We built fires. We brought our archery set. Our dog lost her mind over the sights and sounds and smells.

We'll be back
We absolutely loved the camp site. It was large enough to put down a large tent, set up a hammock, have multiple chairs around the fire pit. The compost toilet was fine and didn't smell - just threw down a handful of the available wood chips when needed. Across the creek we saw some cows come down to get water and cool off in the creek. There was plenty of shade! We didn't use the brick oven, kayaks or hot tub - but it all looked very nice. We plan to come back in the future!

Wow , just wow !
The hosts were so friendly and helped me when I got a bit mixed up coming in(listen when it is said gps will take you to far, and stop 1 mile in and look/ask for the property #)
The land was so beautiful, peaceful and everything you could want/need as all the other comments have highlighted!
I was by myself and this was my first time tent camping (I usually sleep in my hatchback) so I had fun exploring the trail/site and all the privacy to just be.
I probably needed a hand with getting the hot tub to temp but still got to enjoy the little heat from the fire and put my pan on and made my pizza of the one flame(I didn’t want to have so many fires with the brick oven since I was getting sleepy) …All good though I woke up to go kayak and swim in the spring fed creek!
Next time definitely be bringing my husband as he is not a camper and was so jealous of what fun I was having! 😊🙌!

Great location and features
The host family were very welcoming. The items from firewood, eggs and vegetables for sale made it easy.
Bring charcoal for the hot tub!
Kayaks provided were a hit and made for a great day.
Do not forget about the woodfired pizza oven.

Gorgeous campsite--great landowners
This place is magical :) So magical that I almost don't want to leave a review. My friend and I loved the campsite, the creek, the access to a canoe, and the grounds, which have room to explore. I even loved the "toilet" situation--it's a bucket with a toilet seat, yes, but with open views of the gorgeous land surrounding you (might get smellier in summer lol).
The hot tub is indeed a labor of love, as described to me by the owner. Some tips: you need to burn wood for a few hours if it is chilly outside to get it hot, and it will not get hot if the ash at the bottom is clogging the airflow. So, you have to start burning wood at least a couple of hours before you plan to use it and make sure to dig out any ash under the basin so oxygen can do its job. Of course, make sure the lid is on while you are getting it hot. When it was 70 outside, in a few hours it was at about 110 and we had to put cold water in to make it bearable.
Definitely going to return! The views are so beautiful and the owners are excellent communicators. They brought us wood and eggs and we loved every minute and were sad to go!

Rainy but Awesome Experience
My husband and I loved camping on Matt’s land with our dog. We got in late and Gina met us and guided us back to the campsite. Firewood and fresh eggs were delivered to us in the morning (delicious!). The area is set up for an awesome campsite. We used the canoe and explored the creek on both sides, doing some fishing (no bites but lots of nibbles), and letting our dog run around on the sandy parts of the banks. The fire area is a big bowl, and we had no problem using some of the bricks to arrange cookwear over it. We used the pizza oven successfully the next day, which was a really nice touch. There is a treehouse on the property, which we explored but didn’t use, although would be cool with a bigger group. The hot tub overlooks the creek, but again we did not get the chance to use it. The toilet is a bucket with a comfy lid and table in a relatively private shed, and TP was provided although we brought our own.
We picked an extremely cold and rainy weekend to camp here, and we couldn’t help but picture our next visit with friends and hopefully warmer weather. It is such a gem of a site.

Private Spa in Nature Setting
This place has been so awesome for us, we've come back as often as we can. Usually the property is booked or not available. Matt and Gina are such accommodating hosts who take great pride in their property and sharing it with others. If you love fresh eggs and a heaping amount of firewood, they offer these for a very reasonable fee. The hot tub and the big open space always brings us back to this very private, secluded and quiet place. The sounds of song birds and the wind is always a treat, but on any clear night you will see the stars.

Great spot for dogs and privacy!
Perfect location for a secluded get away! Really cool amenities and open space for the dog to run around. Composting toilet, wood fire pizza oven and hot tub were awesome features! The Walmart and HEB is also only 12 minutes away if you forget something, 10/10 would stay again.

We had a great time during our stay. We were able to fit 4 tents with plenty of room for the kiddos to run around. Kelly was great and provided an easy and convenient way to get firewood. We loved the privacy and access to the creek was a big plus. Matt is a great host and has a special property for sure!

The perfect spot for a relaxed trip
Matt’s camping spot was great! The fire pit was amazing and the rocks around it were super cool. The pizza oven we certainly a hit. We had a large group and everyone enjoyed the property!
My only feedback would be that there isn’t really a port-a-potty, as listed, - it’s just a bucket with a lot of wasps nest. Totally fine, just wanted to set expectations as we had little kids with us.

The place is very private with a creek flowing. The kids enjoyed kayaking in the creek. There is a little treehouse you can climb. The creek is the highlight of this place. We saw cows crossing the creek to a new pastures. Saw a snake. Kids found molted snake skin. They were very excited.
We didn’t get to use the pizza oven or the tub. We were supposed to get the stuff for fire from Kelly, but we couldn’t reach him. The kids were getting hungry, so we left around 8 pm ish.

Must visit! Paradise!
Girlfriend and I embarked on this wonderful 2 day breath of fresh air! So secluded with nothing but rain falling on our tent and the crickets chirping. Owners are amazing and very helpful. The little boy brought us our firewood which was amazing. Since all wood we had got soaked from the rain. The property is very beautiful deer everywhere. The creek is very backwoods and that’s what I loved most about it! A little bit tricky getting in soaking wet and muddy but that is what makes the stories. We will definitely be back with the kids. P.s pups loved the freedom.
