Looking for a place to get away from the chaos of your everyday life? Need a quiet place to unwind? Book Rusty's Red Deer Lake Getaway. What's included? An offgrid rustic style bunkie that sleeps 2 in the loft (double mattress), 1 comfortably on the sofa pullout, and one more small person on the chair that turns into a small cot. Please bring your own pillows, however clean sheets and warm blankets are provided. Rusty also provides cooking pots, pans, dishes, and eating utensils, along with a small amount of non-potable water to clean hands and dishes. Firepit with cooking grate is available for hipcampers. Outdoor cooking only. Wood can be provided as requested. Please do not cut from property. A small hiking trail on the property will lead you to Rustys favorite hangout, Red Deer Lake. The trail is a bit of a challenge with many obstacles so please use caution and take your time. Those who rent kayaks or pedal boat will have their vessel waiting for them at this location. Please say "Hi" to Rusty when passing by on your hike to Red Deer Lake. Trails for atv/utvs or others looking for a longer adventure are available a short walking distance off site. Message for further details. A cedar and pine outhouse is available. This outhouse contains a composting toilet that is emptied between stays. This keeps odors down.Complete privacy at Rusty's. Enjoy your own fire ring, kayak, and hike to the lake. Swimming is also available, however it is suggested to use the rental pedal boat to avoid the weedy shoreline. Red Deer Lake is 14 kms long and also offers access via portage to Little Red Deer Lake and Elbow Lake. Rusty offers access to miles of atv/utv trails. (Message for details) Red Deer Lake is known for its pickerel, bass and pike. Unplug and relax.

Rusty's Red Deer Lake Getaway
Cabin was nicely furnished and fit me, my husband, our large dog, and 8 month old son very well. Large mostly flat grassy area was perfect for the dog and the baby. We saw Kevin when we arrived & he was very nice and helpful. After that, we didn’t see a single person for the 3 days we were there. Saying hi to rusty on the way to the lake was cute and made me laugh. Not a very groomed trail, was nice and easy enough but definitely tripping hazards for anyone with any mobility issues. There is also a large step up into the cabin so bring a sturdy stool if you’re coming with youngins or others who may have a hard time with that. Fire pit came with racks was great for cooking and keeping warm late at night. We had a great time in this private off grid cabin, would definitely come back another time !

It was a great experience for camping at the site every thing was wonderful. Night view was awesome we enjoyed a Lotttttttt.

Great little getaway spot. Lots of mushrooms for the picking of that's your thing. Quiet and peaceful night sleeping with the sound of nature.

We loved the little cabin! A wonderful experience, felt like a cabin in a tree! The place respects nature and the proximity with it is nice

Rainy night camp
Rusty's Red Deer Lake Getaway
Rusty's cabin was great! It was private with a trail down to the water. The outhouse was new and clean! There was also a few games to to keep us occupied on a rainy night!
