Backwoods Retreat
Honestly, our camping trip did not feel good at all. When we first arrived, it was a total shock. We had to drive past all these trailers that looked like people had been living in them for years. It felt like a private neighborhood where everyone knew each other, and we were just awkwardly renting a tiny tent spot at the very back. We felt completely out of place. On top of that, the setup was terrible. The water supply was so far from our campsite, even though the people just a few spots ahead of us had it right next to them. Plus, no one told us there were going to be fireworks! By the time they started, everyone was already crowded at the front, and we were totally left out. Definitely not a great experience.

The site was booked for family! They all had wonderful things to stay, enjoyed how private it was and the cleanliness of the amenities. Very family friendly beach!

Happy Campers Hideaway
We had a wonderful family stay at Moonlight Tent & Bay Campground! Nat was extremely helpful, welcoming, and kind. We booked 5 sites for our family, including an RV hookup, camping sites, and a trailer stay, and everyone had great things to say. The campground was welcoming, the beach was beautiful, and the bathroom facilities were some of the cleanest we’ve ever seen! Definitely worth the visit!

Maple Hill Tent Site
Moonlight Bay campground was fantastic. The bathrooms and comfort station were excellent. The lake was phenomenal and had lots of fun things to do. However, when I booked online through Hipcamp, I entered in that I had a 17 foot travel trailer and I was put onto a tent only site. We struggled and struggled to get the camper into this teeny tiny site. We only found out that the site was only for tent when we arrived and checked in. Hopefully the hipcamp online booking can be sorted out because what we had to go through to get the camper in there and out of there was unpleasant.
