Welcome to our safe-space Rustic Black Lab Retreat where Sullivan is resident lab! While our property is situated in the middle of the village of Pugwash and is well under an acre we offer it as a hip camp listing because we think it's a piece of paradise with a big vibe and plenty of room to relax. We offer simple amenities such as a bbq, picnic tables and campfire chairs. There’s an outdoor shower, an outdoor kitchen and a big deck to chill on. Maybe you need a night or two to catch up with practical matters but still want to feel like you're in nature - if so this could be the place for you. We check fire ban restrictions daily and will keep campers informed of the status. If it's raining we will try to accommodate you inside our home!Come set up your tent or park your small RV in Pugwash and enjoy some comforts for a night while still remaining connected to the beauty that surrounds us :) Our property is suitable for adults only, not a safe space for children. We live on the property and offer outdoor showers, a partial outdoor kitchen, full indoor kitchen, laundry service, 1000 sq feet of deck to lounge on, a beautiful yard with a fire pit, and a couple different hangout areas with picnic tables so you can hang out alone or be social with us or other guests. The bathroom is located inside our main living area. Even tho we live in a small town our property has a serene feeling, great views and a surprising amount of wild life. See the bear on the fence-line photo. Close by is grocery, hardware, liquor, post, bakery, restaurant services. Beaching, hiking, and biking are close by. Pets must be friendly! We have a fun-loving black lab who is highly socialized with dogs and loves to play.

Come set up your tent or park your small RV in Pugwash and enjoy some comforts for a night while still remaining connected to the beauty that surrounds us :) Our property is suitable for adults only, not a safe space for children. Very accommodating
Rustic Black Lab Retreat
Very gracious hosts. We rolled in with a full size truck and a bike rack. They made us feel like we fit right in their cozy yard. The outdoor shower was a treat. Fun lighting in the yard. Dog Sully was a cheerful treat as well.

Rustic Black Lab Retreat
Kelly’s home is perfectly situated in the charming Pugwash town. But what was the best part of my stay was the way she, and Andrew, made me feel welcome. For those with tents, the grounds are just perfect, with flowers and trees. The beautiful deck and lounging areas are very inviting and so confortable.

We absolutely loved our time camping at Kelly’s. It really has been one of the highlights of our 4 month trip in the US/ Canada. Her garden is spacious and peaceful and the small community of Pugwash is a hidden gem. We will definitely be back.

Highly recommend this little gem in the peaceful town of Pugwash. Kelly is amazing, so welcoming and accommodating with our check-in and stay. We stayed in the cabin and the bed was THE comfiest bed I’ve slept in (other than my own)! Great setup with tv, water and electricity. Beautiful scenery and lounge chairs in the background, you can see the water from them. A 3 minute walk down to the waterfront boardwalk and Historical site, a food land/co-op and farmers market on Saturdays. Down the road five minutes is a great diner called Nellys and they have delicious food and ice cream. I would highly recommend and will definitely visit again next time I’m out East. Oh and you can’t forget the greetings, kisses and cuddles from their black lab. ❤️

Kelly's property is a charming home and backyard. We booked the tent site but good to hear word she offered her very comfortable and wonderful little cottage as it was unoccupied and it wasn't even raining. It was one of those seemingly random acts of kindness and generosity, reminded me of my hitchhiking days back in the 70's. that can make this kind of travel so much fun. Kelly provides a very convenient and well set up kitchen area to cook as well, a lovely outdoor shower and a friendly dog. In the morning we grabbed our bike and went for beautiful ride along the water. Ion short we loved everything about the place.

Well, there is still hope for humanity. It was a breath of fresh air to come across such extremely kind genuine people. Kelly and Andrew are fantastic hosts! The cottage and yard is charming and very cozy. The outdoor shower was top knotch too. I highly recommend staying here!

Kelly and Andrew have a lovely home, a back patio surrounded by colorful flowers, a spacious back yard, a friendly black lab and even an outdoor shower! They met every expectation and were very thoughtful and kind. They welcomed me into their artistic home with open arms! Thank you so much Kelly and Andrew for your hospitality! I enjoyed my stay with you!
