Find our quaint family-owned-and-operated campground in Lunenburg County, nestled in a forested area along a subset of the LaHave River. Although only a half hour from world-renowned tourist towns and stunning Atlantic beaches, your drive will bring you into rural Nova Scotia, where you will feel like you are a million miles away! Enjoy the sights and sounds of nature on our riverside property, where we host Unserviced Tent Sites, Serviced Campsites for tents and trailers, Tiny Cabins, and Rental Trailers - we offer something for every style of camper! The whole family is sure to have fun at LaHave! Our 15 acre grounds host a general store with sweet treats, a community building with communal firepit, swimming holes and a dock, a playground, off-leash dog run, basketball nets, darts, horseshoe pits, washer toss, and so much more! Jamie Lee, Kalen and Tundra Campground Rules & Regulations ● Campsites are modest, intended for 1 RV, trailer or tent, and 1 vehicle. ● Rates are for up to 4 individuals, with a $5 surcharge for additional guests per night. ● Visitors are to check in at the office, arriving before 9pm, exiting by 11pm. ● Speed limit is 10 km/hr. ● Children are not to be unsupervised in the park and on a site by 11pm. Children on bikes require helmets, and no bikes or playground after dark. ● Midnight is quiet time, and no excessive noise ever please. ● Dogs are to be in your control, leashed and picked up after, with no excessive barking. ● Campfires are subject to Nova Scotia burn ban restrictions – no burning 8am-2pm ever. Check Burn Safe website at 2pm daily to see if 2pm or 7pm fires or permitted, or no fires at all. We sell firewood or you can bring your own. Do not move the firepit, and pits or campsites left littered will be a $10 cleaning fee. ● Recycling is mandatory, with garbage, recycling, cardboard, compost and empties bins on site. ● Campers must adhere to the rules for themselves, their family and visitors. Failure to do so will result in notice to leave. Campers are to pay for any property damage caused. No refunds will be granted, including for early departure. Our unserviced tent sites at LaHave are our most remote camping option. They are located on a modest hill with the river flowing down below them and are a short walk to swimming holes and other campground amenities. Each site offers a picnic table and firepit, with a porta potty with an outdoor water tap on the road for ease of access. The unserviced sites are arranged in three sections —T1-T3, T5-T7, and T8-T10—each with three campsites. On sold-out weekends, you will have neighbours directly beside you, and on quieter times and weekdays, we can often arrange for you to have the most space, potentially a whole section to yourself. For groups of families and friends, booking an entire section is a great way to enjoy space together in a beautiful family-friendly setting.

Mill Hill Serviced Campsites

Perched on a modest hill above the main campground, Mill Hill offers a quaint camping experience with 10 serviced campsites nestled amongst the trees. These campsites are a short walk to campground amenities, with a porta potty located on the road for ease of access. Mill Hill sites provide a water tap, 20 amp service, a picnic table and a firepit, with access to our dump station included in camping fees. For groups, sites 55-56 and 58-59 are double sites, making them ideal for friends and families camping together who want a shared space

Pull Thru Serviced Campsites

Our Pull Thru campsites are needed for campers with RVs over 25 feet in length. These five sites are located in a spacious open area at the core of the campground. Pull Thru campsites provide a water tap, 30 amp service, a picnic table and a fire pit, with access to our dump station included in camping fees. With a limited quantity, these popular sites book up quickly, so be sure to reserve yours early.

River Road Serviced Campsites

Ideal for RVs 25 feet and under and tent campers that are comfortable with a gravel base, our River Road campsites provide a scenic setting with lush foliage and proximity to our amenities. Each site provides a water tap, 20 amp service, a picnic table and a firepit, with access to our dump station included in camping fees.

Our Rental Trailers are a nice way to experience the great outdoors, all while enjoying some of the comforts of home! We host two Rental Trailers at the LaHave River Campground; both of which are 24 feet long and offer the same great floorplan. They are situated side-by-side on the main level of the campground, in close proximity to our store, playground, and swimming holes. Outside, you will be equipped with a deck with an awning, a patio set, a small outdoor kitchen, and a fire pit. Indoors, you will have the comforts of a queen bedroom, open concept kitchen and living room with a large dinette, two double bunk beds, a bathroom with shower, a furnace, air conditioning, and 30-amp service. Our kitchens are equipped with basic utensils, pots, pans, and dishes, and you will need to bring your own linens and towels. Our Rental Trailers host up to 6 guests, and they are not pet-friendly (our Tiny Cabins are though!).

Tiny Cabin Rentals

Our Tiny Cabins offer a rustic yet comfortable camping experience. LaHave hosts 7 Tiny Cabins, all of which offer a simple 10x12 floor plan with two double beds, a mini fridge, microwave, fan, small table and chair set, a deck, picnic table, firepit, 20-amp power, and an outdoor water tap. Accommodating up to 2 adults and 2 children, these pet-friendly cabins make it easy to enjoy nature with added comfort. There are some unique features to consider when deciding which cabin to book. Cabins 4, 14, 43, and 51 are located on the main level of the campground, while cabins 52, 53, and 54 sit up on a modest hill. For riverside views, Cabin 4 sits across from the river, Cabin 14 is directly by the river, and Cabin 43 has a stream flowing behind it when water levels are high. Cabin 51, known as our "Crooked Hut," adds a touch of whimsy with its intentionally tilted design!
