What a great, private little spot right located at the tip of Cape Breton! If you’re adverse to national and provincial park campground feels, this is the site for you! It was very much our kind of camping, a lovely, quiet, private spot alongside a babbling brook, with the sound of the waves crashing against the shoreline in the distance. 10/10 would recommend.

It was a great experience at Aspy Acres. The site is clean and is near a beautiful view of northern coast of Cape Breton. Michael was very accommodating as well, and messaged me a few times to make sure I found the location and I was settled in.

Host is very responsive and helpful. Simple place to set up in a beautiful area. I loved how quiet and private it felt. Bathroom was clean, and campsite and many places an easy distance (and obviously scenic views) to get to. Thank you!

Camping at Aspy Acres was great. Secluded spot and Michael was very helpful in providing recommendations to nearby beaches because of the closed trails.

It’s a beautiful spot surrounded by nature and an excellent base for exploring the Cabot Trail and the northern part of the island. I loved falling asleep with the sound of the creek close by. That said, the mosquitoes and flies were extremely aggressive—even with Off Deep Woods, we were still getting bitten. Also, be aware that the listing doesn’t include any photos of the actual campsite, and some of the images are from other locations in the area, not the campground itself.

I thoroughly enjoyed my camp spot. Michael was very supportive and responsive when I needed information, right down to identifying the animal scat that was so close to my site. It was a little unnerving, as it was from a bear :-) The Bay was directly across the road, which was so nice to see. I left a stone pyramid to say goodbye and hope he noticed it.

Beautiful spot! Nice and private and not far off the cabot trail itself but the distance also gives quieter roads nearby! Perfect spot for stargazing and falling asleep to the sound of water!

Well laid out camp site in close proximity to dingwall, south harbour, white point, meat cove and many other amazing locations in the highlands and beyond. I would absolutely come back. Michael was also a responsive host and gave me a few great spots to check out during my stay.

Nice little site near a small creek, which provided nice background sounds. Outhouse was clean and well equipped. Sits were private. Recommend a bug tent during bug season.
Directions to the sites were easy to follow.

We loved staying at site 5 near The Pools. So peaceful, beautiful, and loved having the water flowing right beside us.
We met Michael as well, who was great to chat with, very kind and helpful. He even helped carry one of our bags to our site. We would definitely stay here again.

The pools campsite is absolutely beautiful, and very private. Michael’s directions were excellent, and he had lots of very good suggestions of places to visit of the area. We really enjoyed our stay!

Our stay at the Pools campsite was a great experience! We had never camped at a walk-in site before, so it added more of an adventure aspect to our trip. The campsite and fire pit were set up great. It was soothing being able to listen to the stream all night long. We were glad we had our water shoes since there were 2 streams to cross to get to the campsite. Michael was an excellent host, he was available to help and make sure we were doing okay. Thanks again for having us!
