Bought this place 13 yrs ago it was nothing but bare land. I've cleared out an area to camp, play, and enjoy the world. Find this as a good chance to share the outdoors with new ppl. Every year we host a Tree fundraiser called "May We Begin" where we replant as many trees with tree shields as we can raise funds for. Learn more about this land: The feeling of peace is about 1 mile off the road. Pulling into Apple Cove you'll see we've cleared areas for tents and small van style RVs. There is an individual fire pit for each camper, a small rock bottom creek runs through the 15 acres for a nice, relaxing view of the woods. The kids and I set up a swing set, and a spot by the creek to play and splash. Now, New York is a 420 friendly state. Enjoy yourself but please be respectful of others Minutes away from: Letchworth State Park, Silver Lake, Genesee River, Geneseo, Silver Springs MX track, Mt. Morris Dam, Walmart, Tim Hortons, Escoy Creek, Wiscoy falls, Stony Brook Creek, Silver Lake Drive Inn, With in an hour from: Buffalo, Batavia, Corning, Chautauqua, Lake, Rochester, Olean, Hamburg, Jamestown, Franklinville, Ellicottville, Niagara Falls Tonawanda, Lake Erie, Lake Ontario, Case Lake, Finger lakes, Rushford lake, Watkins Glenn, Three different casinos, Bills Stadium, Sabers Rink, Bison's and Batavia baseball Statium Recycling is encouraged, camping is at your own risk and discretion for spot location. There are some fire pits and picnic tables available on a first come first serve basis, a small rock bottom creek runs through the 15 acres for a nice, relaxing view of the woods. The kids and I set up a swing set, and a spot by the creek to play and splash. Now New York is a modern and friendly state enjoy yourselves but please be respectful of others. When here you are minutes away from Stony Brook Creek, Letchworth State Park, Silver Lake, Silver Springs MX track , Walmart, Tim Hortons, multiple restaurants, and stores. Please try plan to pack in and pack out anything you bring. Recycling is encouraged, camping is at your own risk and spot location is a first come first serve basis. Military members slowing id at check in receive $5 refund or free small bundle of wood. Thanks for your service!

Sleeps 3 individual adults or a couple and 2 children. Not the original cabin we built the land with. But a legacy to leave for my children! After ten years we have expanded to a small 10x10 cabin with a twin size loft (no mattress just frame). Then there is two single cots (no mattress just frame) You'll need an air mattress or sleeping pad for both as well as pillows and blankets. So leave the worry of a tent behind and come enjoy nature! There is an individual fire pit for each camper if you want one, a small rock bottom creek runs through the 15 acres for a nice, relaxing view of the woods. James was very welcoming and kind! We showed up as it was getting dark and he was very helpful and understanding. The land is great! It was quiet and private and well maintained. We would definitely stay here again!

The host was extremely welcoming. As a multi-racial family group, the atmosphere felt safe, warm and friendly. The property has been cultivated to share this special place with others while preserving habitat. We had a quick overnight while visiting Letchworth for the day. It was inspiring and all around a very positive experience.

Apple cove is a beautiful campground, the tent area was perfect with plenty of room. Our host James level of hospitality was amazing. We will definitely be coming back.

I am biking cross-country. And needed a place in the general vicinity of this camp. James opened up his camp to me even though, was that there and I was the only person in camp. PIt made or a perfect night of camping

Really great land and hospitality from James, perfect place to camp with great and clean facilities. James was super kind, 100% recommend to visit Letchworth —which was absolutely gorgeous as well.

"Van Down By the River!"
Me and my group went on a really rainy 3 day span, we ended up being the only ones camping there, James upgraded us to a better spot in the camp site which was awesome! James was very accommodating and helpful to us throughout our time there! Very beautiful land and a decent amount of places to explore!

The campsite was great. It was very remote and quiet, no road noise, and we could hear the peepers all night. James was a great host and gave us our space while letting us know he was available if we needed anything. He also showed my son some deer antler sheddings in the morning and gave him a turkey feather he found! We only stayed for 1 night, but it was a perfect place to stay.

Absolute gem of a property tucked into the farmlands of NY! James was an absolutely amazing host, not only do I recommend for other but I'll 100% be back several times over again. Restroom.... Disc Golf Basket! Garbage cans. Recycling cans, fire pits...

James is an amazing host! He is accommodating, friendly, and very knowledgeable. He made our stay super easy and comfortable. We had a lovely fire, thanks to James delivering wood and sticks so that we could get it going with these. I highly recommend Apple Cove, peaceful, quiet and located near some great outdoor activities.

Overall a good spot, not hard to get to and private once you get back to your site. Beautiful spot to see the stars too! Not all the sites had a good spot to pitch a tent, sometimes the gravel drive expanded a bit far

This place was wonderful for our Eclipse gathering! James was a gracious and helpful host who ensured we had everything we needed on his beautiful property. I wish we lived closer so we could have more reasons to come back sooner!

I drove up for the eclipse in a group of 9, and we had an amazing time! James is an amazing host, he's quick to respond, tentative to the campsite, and a delight to talk to. Apple Cove is a beautiful place, the wildlife is diverse, the campsites are well set up, and I'm excited to return someday. They have extra camping supplies to rent or buy if you forget something. He also has a couple of telescopes which people are welcome to borrow, and the sky there is dark so there are a ton of stars. Would recommend!

Everybody working there is so kind and helpful and the place is amazing. We had a party of 20 at two campsites and it all still felt so spacious and serene. Super new and clean porta potty on site, awesome creek running behind the sites to explore, and nice flat land for our tents. We stayed to watch the solar eclipse and it was perfect. Will be returning.

Legacy cabin
This cabin was nice and new! Has 2 nice single size cota. The land is beautiful with lots of apple trees, newly planted trees and lots of wildlife. The fall foliage this time of year was a site to see. Lots of trails to walk and see the property. 15 minutes from Letchworth State Park Host was attentive with answering questions.

Great secluded camping right next to Letchworth State Park, perfect for an autumn camping trip. Fields were well maintained for setting up our campsite and the trees around the location were beautiful. Nice and quiet, too. Restroom facilities were clean and firewood was available, no complaints from anybody in our group! Definitely want to come back someday.

We absolutely loved our stay at Apple Cove. James and his boys were so sweet and so helpful. James gave us a tour of his beautiful property, including the brand new cabin him and his boys built, and let us choose where we wanted to camp for the night. We ended up choosing a beautiful spot right by the creek. There are many well marked trails around the property that we were able to explore once we set up camp. We had a ton of privacy and couldn't hear any traffic. It was a very safe, beautiful camping experience, only a few minutes outside of Letchworth. Next time we are in Letchworth, we will definitely be staying here again!

Apple Cove is fantastic! It is so much more than the photos show. We stayed for 2 nights in our small vintage camper with our dogs. The property has so many places to explore. We really loved being next to the creek which was great for cooling off on a hot day. Camping here is primitive. We used water from the creek for our shower, our generator for power, and a lug-a-lue toilet. There is an outhouse on site. The owner is incredibly friendly and helpful with anything you may need. We will definitely stay again!

James’s land is perfect fir hipcamp. Each site is unique. Some are large sunny, grassy areas while others are tucked away under shade, in little private coves and even in the old apple grove. He keeps the grass very well manicured and his fire rings travel to the spot you choose. That was the best part. He lets you decide. I was there for two weeknights and after he left it was just me. It was SO quiet. There’s not even any traffic noise which is really hard to escape. The stars were incredible as well. I felt very safe and content during my stay.
