Stunning river side spot
Luke was so welcoming and gave us many options for our site spot, it's stunning by the river with fire pits dotted along the riverside.
Waking up to sounds of nature was amazing. We loved it - thank you!

Great little spot to park up for a night or if the river is up you can drop a line in or even launch a little tinny off the boat ramp and stay a few days. Luke, the host, was a top bloke!

Camp site on the river was amazing. The fresh produce made it extra special… fresh eggs, pumpkins and sauces! Not to mention the free silver beet.

Easy to follow directions
Heaps of spots to choose from
Peaceful and close to town.
We used it as a base to lightning ridge as the caravan parks there were slabs of dirt
Muddy waters , your own little spot by the creek
Peaceful

Absolutely fabulous!!
Absolutely fabulous at Muddy Waters. Luke, very friendly and welcoming, greeted us with a bunch of organic silverbeet. Very yummy. We camped on the Riverside and had it all to ourselves. We had a magnificent fire and at sunset got some wonderful photos of the water and gum trees. We didn't want to leave, however, we will be back for a longer stay next time. Easy to get into campsite and plenty of wood for fire.

This was my first stop on the way to Perth and it was a fantastic start to the trip. Luke and Carolyn are very friendly and generous with their home grown produce, and I took a quieter spot on the creek away from everyone on the river. Really enjoyed my overnight stay, could have easily stayed another couple of nights

Perfect camp, perfect night
A gem, Luke and Carolyn are such wonderful hosts
When we arrived we were offered a choice of sites, decided to camp on the billabong. Lots of sites to choose from. the kids caught some yabbies and husband had a fish.
We sat on the banks of the billabong with not a sole in site and ate the silverbeet that Luke gave us for dinner
Quick stop in at the bore baths in Walgett (5mins for camp) before heading to lightning ridge
Definitely recommend stopping in

Muddy Waters was a terrific place to stay. Right on the river it was very quiet and peaceful. If you like fishing the rods/nets will be 5m from your camp. Luke was very welcoming and informative about his love of the bush. I would highly recommend Muddy Waters.

By the river
Parked on the river bank with uninterrupted views under the shady trees was delightful.
Caught a few yabbies and loads of carp.

Fantastic Hosts!
Definitely worth the stop!
Spend the $20pn you won't be disappointed. Limited sites on the river bank to keep your stay quiet and private.
If you get a chance to chat to Luke this place has a significant heritage history on the Barwon River.
A real rustic charm! Don't change a thing Keep up the good work Luke n Carolyn!

Tranquil camping spot by the river
Beautiful, tranquil camping spot with great hosts. We stayed for one night. Hosts generously provided firewood which made our evening. Highly recommend if you come past this part of the world.

Booked Muddy Waters because we couldn’t get in to Lightning Ridge over Easter. What luck! Instead of dust, noise and crowds we had yabbies, a pet piglet, pickles homemade to a secret family recipe, and a richly insightful glimpse into life in Walgett. Luke, Caroline and family are welcoming, warm, generous and informative hosts on a beautiful tranquil, safe spot on the banks of the Barwon.
