Tarantula Ranch

A most excellent camping experience! The camp host greeted us upon arrival and was friendly, helpful - we're glad to have met her. If you love the desert southwest, this would be a great home base for exploration. We would stay there again without hesitation. I loved the "open sky" shower!

An awesome , clean, well laid lout place with nice artistic features within a vineyard...everything about it worked well including the very social cat who decided to lay down in the middle of the table tennis table by the net so we had to hit over it.

Calm camp in the desert

This is an awesome spot in the desert. The showers and bathrooms look newly renovated and clean, but they also have an outdoor shower and composting toilet available! They have a communal area with games and a kitchen area, and there are 3 extremely friendly cats that roam the area! 2 of them actually got inside my tent with me!!! They were jumping into my arms to be held. It really added to the experience

Nice campground with gentle hosts

We travelled with RV and there was one RV campsite with hookup and water supply. Hosts were really gentle and helpful. There is a shared kitchen area, nice shower and bathroom (outdoor and indoor too). Further campsites for tents, cars and some clamping ones are bookable as well. WiFi is also available all over the campground. Nice site and indeed like to visit again.

On our way to Death Valley

Place was exactly as described and a welcome relief after a long day of travel. Got lucky and had the property almost to ourselves so it was quiet and peaceful. Artistic and ample amenities allowing us use of super clean bathrooms and outdoor sink. Had showers and ping pong that we didn’t take advantage of but are great additions. And a quick 1-hour drive to Death Valley. Would definitely recommend!

This is a beautiful space with all the little details thought of, from a full kitchen with cooking basics like oil and salt and pepper, to several options for shower houses with great water pressure. The resident cats are aggressively affectionate, which I loved, and it was cool seeing the resident desert tortoises. Barbera is particularly nice for folks as its on the end... though I had no neighbors midweek.

An Oasis

This place was amazing. You'd think being in the desert it would be more like roughing it but it's not. The flush toilets were clean and very nice. Have you ever camped AND used a bidet? Have you ever used one? The over sized sink made filling our water bladders easy. The sites, though close, felt secluded. Oh, they have desert tortoises 🐢 in they're little sanctuary. We we visited by three adorable cats too! Brandon was super friendly and we had a nice talk about Death Valley and other parks we visited. If I didn't live all the way in Ohio I would make plans just to stay here for a weekend.

The Tarantula Ranch Vineyard was by far my favorite campsite of 2025. I’d recommend it to anyone headed to Death Valley. It is unique, well kept and truly an oasis in the desert. The outdoor kitchen, bathrooms, shower and fire pits are all in great shape. On top of all that was an exceptional hostess full of good tips for near by adventures.

We had a great time at Tarantula Ranch Vineyard/Death Valley Camp. The facilities are very well kept, clean bathrooms and shower, there is even an enclosed rustic outdoor "Cowboy" shower. The campsites are pretty small and tight together so it was very social. Everyone was super nice and welcoming. Leah Ann the camp host was especially nice and helpful. We really enjoyed our day in Death Valley a truly amazing place. Also went to Tacopa hot spring and the China Date Ranch. We will definitely stay here when we are back in the area.

We stayed in the RV site. It was in the driveway of the house but had a privacy fence with electric and water. Great views, sunsets, sunrises and stars!

Site 6 - Desert Vineyard Glamping

Really cozy! Felt so safe camping there as a solo woman. Hot shower and cozy shared space to cook and be in from the wind. A little further from Death Valley than I was expecting, but there aren’t many better options unless you’re camping in the park.

Everything about this space was fantastic! We were comfortable and happy in our trailer, cozy by the fire, and were able to see so many stars from the oak barrel chairs. The outdoor kitchen and wine hall were great amenities too. There is an outdoor shower as well as a new regular shower and flush toilets. Beware of the three cats who are there to catch rodents, snakes, and scorpions but who really just love to cuddle. Very easy drive to Death Valley and very friendly staff. We would 100% stay again!

the campground was incredible! helpful & cute features with the fire pit & very very clean and well decorated bathrooms & shower. the campground felt safe, loved the vineyard next to it and the wine theme! it was a beautiful site and great spot to stay after visiting death valley national park. we camped here in a rooftop tent. i’d absolutely go back and stay there again when back in the area

The site was awesome. Really clean, the staff was very friendly, and the amenities were awesome including multiple grills, plenty of cookware, clean bathrooms, and multiple bonfire pits with Adirondack chairs. I highly recommend this stay!

Absolutely amazing. I stayed for a quick night and everything was amazing. I arrived when it was dark so the stars were an incredible sight. Then I left just after watching one of the most beautiful sunrises I’ve ever seen. The property itself is perfectly kept up, the bathrooms were clean (and had bidets!), there is WiFi available, and I felt very safe. There were a few other campers while I was there, and everyone was so lovely. Next time, I’ll make a point to stay longer!

This was an AMAZING campground. The sites were the perfect size with beautiful desert views. The bathrooms and community cooking area were much better than expected. Even though we didn't meet him, Brandon was nothing but friendly and responsive in all communications.

We really enjoyed our overnight stay at Brandon's camp. It was better than the description on Hiocamp, as I think he has continued to make improvements. I would stay there again and take better advantage of the amenities.

Growing Wine G in Amargosa Val

Very cool property. Lots of unique features. Easy access from I95. Perfect place to camp to breakup the drive between Red Rocks and home in Oregon. Easy back in and hookups for our trailer and the tent sites and glamping options looked good for those with other needs. The only drawbacks, we didn’t get to meet the desert tortoise on the property and we didn’t get to sample the wine. We will definitely stay again.

I had a great experience camping one night in Brandon’s land. Very easy to communicate with, easy to find and exactly what I needed for a brief stop on my journey. The shower and cooking options were great and the kitties were a sweet bonus!

Great RV spot with amazing views of the stars. We stayed in the RV spot and had power hook-ups and wifi, which were great for our short time there. The other spots looked awesome as well. Definitely would recommend a stay!

Very hip place, a small set of vines growing in the desert. Well laid out and what I think is unsaid is that on the clamping side there is really new, clean and accessible washrooms (with bidet) and showers. Super friendly cats, so dog peeps take note or those with allergies also. Fireplace, water taps, a "wine room" with staples and merch to purchase. This place is far and away from roads and offers a peaceful nite. Really good vibes.
