We had an amazing time camping at Finnon Lake! We tent camped with our two dogs and couldn’t have asked for a better spot—our site was very close to the water, which made the whole stay super relaxing. Waking up to the lake just a few steps away was perfect.
The campground was clean, peaceful, and easy to get around. Our dogs had plenty of space to enjoy without feeling crowded, and the whole area just felt really dog-friendly and laid back. The scenery was beautiful, and being so close to the water made it easy to fish, relax, or just enjoy the view.
Overall, it was exactly the kind of quiet, nature-filled getaway we were hoping for. We’ll definitely be coming back!

It's a nice place with beautiful views. The campsites are pretty close together, with many being both RV and car sites. It's not a recipe for a quiet environment, but that's really not expected in these type of campgrounds. I saw several families there, and everyone was having fun (responsibly) and a good time was had by all. The bathroom was clean, as were the campsites. Wildlife was nice in the way of ducks, geese, and very vocal (as always) blue jays. Plenty of woodpeckers as well. My only wildlife complaint might be they have a pretty serious issue with moles tearing up the sites, but it's nothing a fox or coyote couldn't fix.

Amazing gem! Beautiful. We loved our stay on Finnon’s Lake. The only neighbors we had were the birds and deer.

Amazing scenery, well kept, and the drive was breathtaking.
If you’re not good with narrow roads and tight turns, I would suggest look at the maps before you make your choice. I loved it tho!

The lake front campsites are simply beautiful. We have a Ford transit van and also a sedan. A huge tent and we still have a lot of space on the site. The campsite has a downward slope just like described but we found a flat spot for our tent. The lake is beautiful for boating and fishing. How peaceful the campground is solely depending on how other campers are especially your neighbors, because the campsites are very close to each other. We didn't have a great night the first night because our neighbors arrived at 2 am and were setting things up and talking, laughing pretty loudly. So we essentially did not sleep at all that night. While the quite time is listed on the rules but seems like it is not enforced at all. So while I love this campground, I highly recommend going during the weekdays.
The bathroom is a very nice addition. Again, it's clean majority of the time but it depends on how the campers take care of it.
They are dogs friendly. They need to be on leash. We got a tie down which works amazing.
There's also a lot of wildlife. I didn't hear frogs but a lot of birds. We saw eagles and their nest which is so beautiful.
There is a restaurant called Smoke on the water. The food is AWESOME. They also have firewood for sale. Just need to double check their business hours.
The drive up there was good. Remember to pay attention the detours. The last 15 minutes was really twisty. We will be back for sure!

Amazing! My stay was so relaxing, pretty much no one else at the lake. There were deer that came through camp once in a while. The bathroom was clean and a great amenity to have, water spigots all over the property. Self check in type situation, easy to find my spot and get myself situated even arriving after dark!

I spent my first trip there and highly recommend Finnon lake campground! I was very impressed with how clean the campsites were and how clean the bathrooms were as well! The drive and scenery was beautiful and relatively easy. I absolutely loved this campground and will be going back for future stays!

Very peaceful area with lots of birds and beautiful trees! Our particular spot was A3 - Lakefront with a beautiful swinging chair and great access to the lake. Overall, would return here!

This is our second time camping at this spot and it’s a hidden gem. The Lake is beautiful to watch on si rise and sunset time. Site A7 was perfect for our car camp set up. Not too far from the Lake and spaciouse enough as well.

Beautiful lake and decently sized sites. Unfortunately no monitoring of camper behavior and we had huge party group show up and be loud all night, then they started blasting music first thing in the morning. Please have someone patrol to enforce quiet hours so others can enjoy peaceful nature

Terrific place to spend a weekend!! Site A2 is ideally located, close to the water and restrooms… but not too close. It was pretty booked up Saturday evening, but never felt cramped or congested. Will definitely book again👍

Word to the wise - there was a mama bear and her cub on the road in the evening on Saturday. Currently there are no bear boxes at the campsites, but there is one at the day use area.

A beautiful spot, highly recommend, we stayed mid-October and had the lake to ourselves. The road up to the lake is pretty steep and curvy but we had no issues in our camper van.

I loved staying here, it’s really easy to find. Make sure to follow the host’s instructions on driving there. Overall it was a beautiful, friendly, calm yet lively, experience. I’m already planning on another trip. It was wonderful to see a campground actually really close to home. Their bathrooms are really nice too

I had the whole area to my self! It was Quiet, perfect weather, clean bathrooms, clean grounds. They left a stack of firewood which was very nice. The hike around the lake was great for my dog. Next time I have to bring my kayak.
I will definitely be back, a great spot.

We stayed at A12 with two dogs and a 3-1/2 yr old. Lots of space for the dogs on a tie out and room for our grandson to ride his bike and have his hot wheel cars out. We did bring a shade tent with screen as we had our A Line camper. The set up was kind of odd as the table seems to have been moved way up the hill from the fire pit and the grill. We didn't use the grill but I would not have liked it very much if I had planned on it as it had those star sticky weeds all around it. The sight just needs some weeding but the space and the view of the lake was fantastic. The bathrooms were clean. Water spikits close by. Nice trip and we will go back if get the chance.

Unexpected camping trip and booked last minute but had an amazing time. Even though we had an idea that it was going to rain we still went and it was perfect! We got there at dark around 8pm and we found our spot right away. There were probably 3 other parties but it felt like there was barely anyone especially the next day. It rained around 1am until the next morning but it was super calm and relaxing. The views of the lake are majestic and the birds chirping just made it magical. The diner nearby was a cool sport and grabbed some sausage sandwich and the staff are very nice and you can sit outside the patio with beautiful views. Would recommend and book at this campsite in the future again!

Beautiful camp site but very over crowded.
Unfortunately, there were way too many group camps side by side that ignored the quiet hours and stayed up all night causing frustrations from other campers who were trying to have a more relaxing time.

Overall, good experience. Lake is fun, sites are fairly spacious but still pretty close together. We unfortunately had two separate loud/raucous groups that were awake til Midnight. Only downside to not having a camp ground host on the property is there was no one to tell them to be respectful of quiet time.
Also several people (part of the same group) just letting their dogs off leash and allowing them to wander into different campgrounds.
