I bought this magical property 13 years ago and I have developed it from beach to mountain with the idea of sharing it with epic humans since day 1. It is 1 acre of pure natural and artistic bliss. The natural wonders include a massive beach with space for many, a gigantic sling shot, sweet fire pits, comfortable lawn chairs, paddle boards, kayaks, a cedar strip canoe, and many other toys free for you to explore. Please note that the Beach house guests have priority of the Gazebo but there are many spots/tables and parasols set up to enjoy all other spots on the beach. My property has 2 rentals on it, the other is right on the beach called "Sweet beach house-edge of the water", in case you wanted to book both locations. There are also a couple of sites for extra guests to pitch a tent on for a fee. Its like jurassic park here...very tropical and chill. The artful camper boasts of an outdoor spa and deck, BBQ, mini fridge, fantastic lake and mountain views and access to the beach from 9am-8pm. The other rental a.k.a. The beach-house comes with an attached outdoor 1950's style kitchen, oudoor on demand shower, outhouse, fire pits, lawn chairs, and free use of water vessels. It is located steps from the water. Truly magical.Whether you’re looking for peace and quiet with an incredible lake and mountain view, or an interactive beach experience, look no further. Come and experience Kootenay Lakeside living in an artful, playful and health-restoring environment with 5 bar Wi-FI!! Free use of my paddle boards, kayak, and cedar strip canoe. Plunk your lawn chair in the lake, grab your book, chill and drink your ice cold beer under an umbrella, or play on the many water vessels provided. The fully restored camper has 1 bed and is suitable for 2. There is no room to set up an extra bed, however, for a fee, there is a tent site 20ft away that you may book for friends or kids. The spa hosts a turn of the century tub for you to soak in while you admire the light shining through the vintage stain glass. There are two rental locations on the property, so you may be sharing the beach amenities with another group. Please be respectful and courteous. Or, perhaps you want to rent both locations for your family or friends.

Absolutely loved this spot! The setup was super cozy, unique, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The beach was beautiful and well-stocked with water crafts, comfy chairs, and all the little extras that make a big difference. Babs was such a warm and welcoming host—so easy to talk to and genuinely thoughtful. The beautiful weather was just the cherry on top. Already looking forward to coming back!

Bab’s place was perfect for a weekend away. The site was beautiful, weather was great, and our pup especially enjoyed it! We loved exploring the small towns nearby, especially the artisan shops and local eateries. Highly recommend retreating yourself at this unique spot!

Babs' place was wonderful. The camper had a stunning view over Kootenay Lake, and the amenities on the beach made the stay even more fantastic. It truly is a retreat, and Babs has great recommendations for local places to eat and explore. 10/10, would go back, super fun.

Bab's property is lovely. Very peaceful, well-maintained, clean, with amazing views. Babs was very helpful, provided suggestions, and tips, and connected us with Phil who was looking after Bab's property in her absence during our stay. Phil was also great. Always on site and ready to help with anything. I also appreciated my temporary beach office (I had to work during our stay) - the wifi signal is strong and reliable. We and our dogs had such a good time. Thank you very much, Babs, for sharing your little paradise with others:)

Very cute and well decorated trailer. The covered deck was great, with plant and flower pots, comfy chairs, toaster oven and fridge, as well as the clawfoot tub in the rustic bath house. It was the relaxing cozy getaway that I was looking for.

Bab’s place was a wonderful retreat as advertised. We were 2 adults & 2 dogs, there was plenty of space on the deck outside & the trailer did fit us all, the sleeping is a bit tight for 2 adults but for a shorter stay is was totally fine. The staircase to the beach is a haul but worth it! Bab’s is very helpful & chill, so expect good vibes. Overall a wonderful glamping site!

Babs hosts some FANTASTIC sites! I took my 2 toddlers for a week and we all enjoyed ourselves! The beach is beautiful and well maintained and was the perfect spot to post up for the day. It has been one of the most comfortable spots for my and my ferals to relax. This place is magical and you feel it. We're coming back (to the beach house) in September and we're so excited to go back!

Relaxing oasis on Lake Kootenay

Babs's place is really special. She's a lovely human who is offering to share a slice of her lovely property. You should go! The trailer is neat and tidy with everything you need. The bath house is so charming, all upcycled elegance. The lake is gorgeous, though, honestly, we had a hard time tearing ourselves away from the view up on our private deck. So relaxing! Will be back for sure :)

Beautiful space, nice and peaceful. Host was very friendly and fun. Accommodated us with a propane fire pit due to fire ban which was very kind. Only complaint is we wished we could have stayed longer ! Would recommend for sure .
