The Lodge
20 sites · Lodging, Tents101 acres · Kismet, KSThis property has been in the Wettstein Family for many years. I grew up on this property and have lived on it for 64 years.  My father (Wendell Wettstein) built the barn in 1948 to hold livestock in and also to have a dairy.  Linda and I have raised all our children on this place and now bring our grandchildren out to visit. We are a crop producing farm and run a pheasant hunting lodge during the hunting season.  This would be a place where you can come out to just relax for as long as you want to.

Coyote Breaks Farm
5 sites · RVs, Tents42 acres · Wildorado, TXThe sites overlook the beautiful Canadian River breaks to the north with wide open skies to the west and east to enjoy the sunrises and sunsets. These are rustic sites with no improvements. We are just getting started with this so you’ll be able to help us from the ground up. If we are not in a burn ban you’re welcome to have a campfire. There will be opportunities to call up a wild coyote or watch some mule deer or an occasional antelope stroll by. You could even be awakened by the horses on their way to water in the morning and we can set up some horse riding if we have enough notice to schedule time off from the 9-5 haha. Can’t wait to see you on the prairie!

Vida Bonita Ranch
16 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents1670 acres · NMReconnect with nature at our 1670 acre ranch. The unique terrain has several mesas, meadows, and forests. Enjoy magnificent views. The Mora River flows through our property for 2 miles. We are completely off-grid, so the star gazing is world class. This land is home to lots of elk, deer, bears, mountain lions, turkeys, and mountain goats. Explore the old ruins, canyons, and cliffs. Swim/fish in the river. Visit our farm animals. Bring your bikes, horses, or other off-road vehicles! Horseback riding will be available 2023. You will be free to roam and wander on the entire 1670 acres, including fishing or floating in the river. Your site has a heavy-duty metal fire ring and swivel grate for grilling. A picnic table with umbrella is provided. The ranch is off grid, so it gets very dark at night. Flashlights and other lanterns are strongly encouraged. There is a porta-potty nearby. You will have access to the entire ranch. We also have a few groceries available, such as charcoal, snack foods, drinks, etc. The nearest gas station is 75 minutes away. Please check in before sunset because the roads leading to the property are very dark and isolated. Cell service is intermittent. The county road is also made of loose gravel, so driving your nicest car is not recommended, unless you're ok with possible dents, cracks, or paint chips. One of our primary missions is to keep this land as undisturbed as possible; therefore, we are a TRASH FREE campsite. So whatever trash you bring in, you MUST takeout with you. Otherwise, you will be charged a $50 fee.

Purgatory Riverbottoms
8 sites · Tents5 acres · Trinidad, COIf camsites are full, contact me. There is tons of space. Upon arrival, come straight down Cottonwood Avenue past the private signs where the asphalt ends and straight to the Teepee. We are on a Peninsula with the river on one side and an irrigation creek down the other. We own 1/4 stretch along the river across from the riverwalk and downtown. The "Trinidad" lights shine down from atop Simpsons Rest which is a public area. It has an incredible view of Trinidad ans hidden caves and areas to explore as well. The area we own is Picketwire Valley. It was renamed Picketwire because the French couldn't pronounce Purgatory. The French retreated to Simpsons Rest are were surrounded by Indians and were starved etc. The large caves they hid in, have since covered over.

Saylestates
3 sites · RVs, Tents7 acres · Ordway, COI arrived in the States and in Colorado in particular almost 3 decades ago; this small rural western town became home.  I began planting orchards, shelter trees, acquiring animals, hosting trans-american cyclists and work exchange helpers. In 2008 most of it burned down in a county wild fire.... so it all started over again.... setting up a replacement house, rebuilding 6 barns, replanting 600 trees and restretching fencing. No critters were lost for which I am grateful. Nature can and will heal herself if allowed. There's a lot going on here again.
