Sainte-Anne-des-Monts camping guide

When to go

A popular destination for outdoor adventurers year-round, Sainte-Anne-des-Monts serves as a hub for all-seasons travel. That said, some attractions and businesses close for winter, so it's worth calling in advance if there are specific places you plan to visit during this time. The city can get busy in July and August, when weather is at its best. For a quieter pace (with a chance for still-great weather), try fall travel.

Know before you go

  • There are four electric vehicle charging stations in Sainte-Anne-des-Monts.
  • During the last weekend in July, the town holds its annual Fête du bois flotté festival to celebrate folklore and the art of driftwood carving.
  • While cell reception in the city will be fine, you may find it patchy or nonexistent once you get into the wilds of Gaspésie National Park.
  • You'll find it hard to get around this area without a car.
  • The city library offers free internet to visitors, as well as computers for use.
