In August of 2021 we had been approached by folks wanting to camp on our property because of the beautiful views and riverfront water access. In keeping it reasonable and safe, we found HIPCAMP offered us the best venue to do so. Site #1 is camper/RV accessible with lots of room for friends, vehicles and a field to set up tents or game playing areas. If deep woods camping is what you prefer, we offer that as well. We offer free firewood, picnic tables and outhouses. Fresh water pond for cooling off and bathing. 100 acres of trails through the woods, fields and 3/4 mile of river frontage for all your outdoor activities.

Kayaking and canoeing from all of our sites (Rentals available nearby at https://www.clyderiverrecreation.com), fishing, bird and big game watching (see actual game cam pictures in our photo gallery), mountain climbing and mountain biking (Best mountain bike trails in New England available close by in Burke, Vt. (https://www.kingdomtrails.org)! Peaceful, country relaxed atmosphere.

Westmore Forest Cabin

After driving the shoreline road of Lake Willoughby, the road to access the land is a steady climb to ..... feet.  Stop and look behind you and you'll see the Western view of successive mountain ridges and Lake Willoughby.  The immediate land and surround has been in the Cole family for generations and we are honored to be the next stewards of this parcel.  We look forward to sharing the beauty of this area and this space with you.  Learn more about this land:The cabin is located 3 miles and 1,700 feet up from Lake Willoughby in the Town of Westmore. We invite you to stay! Looking behind as you drive up Coles Mountain to the land, you see views of Lake Willoughby and rolling mountains heading out to the horizon in the west.  Majestic.  Once you have traveled 3 miles and gone up 1,700 feet from Lake Willoughby, you cross a land bridge over a stream and enter a private clearing ringed with tress and forest.  This is an old orchard in the forest with an off-grid cabin.  Cozy surroundings.  Though you may hear others on surrounding properties, you don't see them.   Cross another stream and the land goes back another 10 acres into deep forest.  Magical.Outdoor activities throughout the area include hiking, skiing and mountain biking at Burke Mountain, Kingdom Trails Association, Craftsbury Outdoor Center and local Vermont State Parks, as well as kayaking, swimming, and fishing on Lake Willoughby.  Watch the sunset at Sentinel Rock.  As noted on the Vermont Department of Health's website, "Vermont has reached Step 4 of the Vermont Forward Plan. Except for international travel, travel no longer requires testing or quarantine. Masks are still required on public transportation, including school buses. CDC recommends delaying travel until you are fully vaccinated because travel increases your chance of getting and spreading COVID-19."

Little Sister's Campsite

As private as private gets but only 6 miles to Newport Vt. There is a creek and a one acre pond (20 feet deep). It is all mixed hard and softwoods. It has some magnificent old growth trees 100 foot tall. There is a good rd that my friend has used with his Lincoln. Most any vehicle (car or Pickup)can get to the site. It gets a little tricky if you are pulling a trailer. A small one is OK but a large one - not so much....... The rd goes 1/2 mile to the rear of the land. Moose, deer and other critters visit too. We live 1/2 mile away from where you enter the woodlot. Our house is on Brownington Pond (200+ acres) & campers can use this site for swimming, boating & fishing.  Fires are allowed & we supply the wood at no extra charge.

You may use the raft in front of our house 1 mile away. 

Lavender Essentials of Vermont

Pierre Capron and Michele Judd started the lavender farm in the spring of 2017. Both Michele and Pierre grew up on dairy farms in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, and are proud to be the next generation of farmers, working the same land as Michele’s grandparents once did. We are a multi-generational farm family, hoping to develop a successful business that can one day be passed onto our children.

Stay with us at our farm, and take in the quaint, picturesque countryside. We offer a peaceful site, away from it all, to relax and experience Vermont. In the meadows you can pick wild flowers, take an afternoon nap, wander the trails, bird watch, or listen to frogs and catch fireflies in the evening. At night you will be amazed at the star filled sky! 

 Day or night it's hard to deny the peaceful and romantic feeling you get from the lavender farm! The farm has a Lavender Labyrinth, fields of sunflowers, chamomile, mint (and other herbs and vegetables), bees, informational placards along walking trails, cozy private seating, a gazebo for special events, a hidden geocache, and even a gift shop! There are lots of things to see and do on the farm. Especially during bloom season—June-September. Your hosts, Michele and Pierre, are locals and they know all the best and unadvertised places to explore. Ask them about local dives and even haunted hikes. Just 30 minutes away is one of the best bike parks in New England, Kingdom Trails in Burke.  Also nearby is Jay Peak, a ski resort with an indoor water park, golf course, ice arena, climbing walls, and much more! The farm is located just 2 miles from the Canadian border. Magog, Sherbrooke, and Montreal offer a taste of international cultural that will appease your Quebecois desires! If you plan to visit Canada while you are here, remember you must have your passport!

 Stay at one of the most beautiful places on earth, and allow us to help you find peace and tranquility, or we can be your personal adventure guide! We go out of our way to provide you with a memorable stay, and do our best to facilitate the kind of vacation you are looking for! 

We love dogs, but we must insist dogs be kept on a leash at all times. Dogs are not allowed in the farm's fields because we grow culinary grade crops and must protect them. All dog waste must be cleaned immediately and is restricted to designated pet rest areas. Owners will be held responsible for any damages.

Please keep your campsite clean.  Fires are allowed, as long as winds are not strong. Our weather can be breezy, and exposed at times, so pack according. Bring a sweater and a kite! There's a reason we have a 140ft wind turbine.

Old Moose Farm

An Overlanders, and Camper Van Enthusiasts Paradise!  Enjoy beautiful views and the majestic wilderness of Vermont's Northeast Kingdom. Situated at the top of Todd Hill, the property includes a pond, apple orchard, and Christmas Tree Farm. 

There are several different sites at the Old Moose Farm ranging from inside the cozy apple orchard, to the top of Crom's Peak with it's 270° views of the Connecticut River Valley and the North East Kingdom of Vermont. There's also plenty of open space for those who would like to pick their own spot, message me for details.

On a clear day you can see Vermont, New Hampshire, Canada, and even Maine!  In my 40 plus acres of Christmas Trees and Apple Orchards you will feel at one with nature while also only being 3 miles from one of New England's finest microbreweries and all the ATV and hiking trails you can handle. 

The Property features several camping sites perfect for classic tent campers, smaller travel trailers and micro campers, and backpacking adventurers.  Located 10 minutes from Colebrook NH and 30 minutes from Pittsburgh NH. The Great North woods of NH is also accessible from The Old Moose Farm.
