Our remote off grid property in the forest east of Eagle Lake is a great place to disconnect and decompress. The roadside Bunkie sleeps 2 comfortably and can accommodate a RV trailer or tent as well. Pets are welcome.  The property has a pit toilet, and campfires are allowed in the designated pit. There is also potable water in the bin with an outdoor kitchen and BBQ area. In the winter water would have to be stored inside. Linen not provided. You’ll wake up surrounded by trees and can explore the great hiking, nature viewing, atv trails and boating in the summer months. In the winter enjoy glaming in the propane heated bunkie, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, snow machine trails at the door. Wildlife is all around.  Several lakes and parks are nearby, including Mikisew Provincial Park on Eagle Lake, about 20 km south, where you can go boating, paddling, or swimming and Algonquin Provincial Park is close as well with many lakes and hiking trails. The campsites are only steps away from the water’s edge where you can enjoy stunning sunsets. Swimming, fishing and a playground are just across the road. The sites have a raised fire pit to cook your meals and a picnic table for enjoying them. We can provide firewood for $12 a bag, just ask!  These medium sites can accommodate two tents or a small camper with a total of four people. There is a shared outhouse, with flush toilets at the park across the road. Each site has water and electricity, and you can also find a WIFI signal nearby.  Eagle Lake Narrows Country Store is on the same three acre property. There you can rent boat, canoe, kayak, SUP and bicycles. Right across the road is a public beach, perfect for a relaxing day with family or friends. The public beach also is equipped with handy amenities like bathrooms, change rooms, fishing docks, and extra parking.  Eagle Lake is approximately 3 hours from Toronto, just over 4 hours from Ottawa, and less than an hour to Huntsville. It is very close to Algonquin Park.

Marten River Escapes offers six waterfront campsites with 30 amp hydro service and three non waterfront campsites, one with 30 amp and two with 50 amp service. A couple are seasonal sites, most are transient sites. All have access to potable water faucets. A shared comfort station with flush toilets and showers with hot on demand water is centrally located. There is no sewer connections but we do have a honey wagon and guests can access dumping into our onsite septic tank. We also have one rustic glamping cabin in the campground area and a new 14 unit building under construction on the southeast portion of the property. There is an on site restaurant offering dine-in, patio seating, and take out service. (seasonally operated - hours vary depending on the season) In addition to the amenities available on the campsite you will also have access to enjoy the common shared areas of the property. Our property boasts 1000' of waterfront surrounded by crown land. We have a new shared dock with Muskoka chairs and a (typical Northern Ontario) swimming area in our semi-secluded bay. We recommend water shoes for those who go swimming and to bring a fishing rod (and fishing license) if you want to give that sport a go. A sunshade pergola was just added to the main dock area with several other seating areas scattered around the property providing relaxing water views and spectacular sunsets, all available for your enjoyment. There is a large open area to enjoy a game of frisbee or other lawn games. We also have a few water toys. A canoe, a kayak, a peddle boat and two small (fishing type) motor boats are available for a small rental FEE. You must have a valid boaters license in order to be able to rent the motor boat. All water equipment renters must sign a renters agreement prior to use. Due to sizing and proper fit, for safety we do recommend guests bring their own life jackets/pfd's but we do have some that can be used. We have a private boat launch and for a small extra fee you can reserve a dedicated boat slip space during your stay for your own personal watercraft. Boats or other water toy equipment are NOT to be left on the shore. A few local public boat launches into different lakes are also nearby. For those powersports enthusiasts (ATV's, SXS etc.) there are 100's of km's of crown land trails accessible from our property. We do NOT rent ATV's. There is space to park ONE passenger vehicle along with your rv/trailer or tents on each campsite. VERY large trucks will limit the usable lawn space available on the site. Extra passenger vehicles and/or equipment trailers must park in overflow parking.

We have 4.4 acres of land on a spring fed lake. (Even though it is spring fed the water is warm for swimming.) We are located between Trout Creek and Port Loring on Hwy 522. We have 3 vintage trailers, each with a slightly different experience. Enjoy kayaking, canoeing, swimming and fishing. We also have a 4 person paddle boat. Bring water shoes if you have them. The water edge is in it's natural state. The trailers come fully equipped. You need only bring food, bedding and 1 pound propane tanks to use the small barbeque. Our property is off the electric grid. The trailers have fridges and stoves powered by propane and the lights are powered by battery recharged with solar panels. We do not at this time have running water and the toilets are clean outhouses - not stinky and disgusting. We have a couple of small docks and you can fish right from the dock. If you are a bird lover you will enjoy watching the blue heron and hearing the loons and frogs sing at night. This property often experiences spectacular sun sets. We have 4.4 acres of land on a spring fed lake. (Even though it is spring fed the water is warm for swimming.) We are located between Trout Creek and Port Loring on Hwy 522. We have 3 vintage trailers, each with a slightly different experience. Enjoy kayaking, canoeing, swimming and fishing. We also have a 4 person paddle boat. Bring water shoes if you have them. The water edge is in it's natural state. The trailers come fully equipped. You need only bring food, bedding and 1 pound propane tanks to use the small barbeque. Our property is off the electric grid. The trailers have fridges and stoves powered by propane and the lights are powered by battery recharged with solar panels. We do not at this time have running water and the toilets are clean outhouses - not stinky and disgusting. We have a couple of small docks and you can fish right from the dock. If you are a bird lover you will enjoy watching the blue heron and hearing the loons and frogs sing at night. This property often experiences spectacular sun sets. We have fire pits, books and board games.

We loved camping on Fred’s land! Fred was very personable and kind, and gave us a thorough tour of the campground. The sites were spacious and clean, with electric plugs, fire pits, and tables available. They also have a private beach and dock for site guests, with a public beach and park on the other side of the road. Also, their general store has anything you may need, or want, while camping, including fire starter, ice, and Kawartha Dairy ice cream! We were so pleased with our experience and can’t wait to return!

We had the pleasure of staying at Brad and Brenda’s Pergola Lot One this past weekend, and what a slice of heaven it is! The site was incredibly private and even came with our own private beach. We had perfect weather, and the breeze off the bay kept the bugs away. Everything was spotless, the showers and washrooms were clean, the garbage drop-off was secure, and the entire site was neat and tidy. The views were absolutely spectacular, and with all the amenities nearby (including a great butcher shop in town), it couldn’t have been more convenient. Honestly, I’d choose this over a provincial park 10 out of 10 times. We will definitely be back, hopefully next summer. Thank you, Brenda, for such a wonderful stay, hope to see you again next year!

I had an amazing experience at Fred’s campsite! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how clean and well-maintained everything was. The check-in process was smooth and Fred was incredibly friendly and helpful, offering great tips on local hiking trails and nearby attractions. The campsite itself was peaceful and surrounded by beautiful nature and lake. We loved waking up to the sound of birds, the fresh air and lake view. The lots were spacious, offering plenty of room for our tent and gear without feeling crowded. It was such a treat to sit by the fire at night under the stars. Whether you're looking for a relaxing escape or an adventure-filled weekend, this campsite has it all. I highly recommend it and will definitely be coming back!

My friend and I tented it on a Friday night. Beautiful spot and very private. We were lucky enough to have the whole place to ourselves. A bit noisy at night with the hwy being right there, the only drawback. Hospitality was great. Not much signage, but gps will bring you to the 2 pylons set up and make a left to enter the property.
