Located in the hamlet of Mosborough on 113 acres, this is a working farm with open fields, an old orchard, and 27 acres of forest.
We are a short drive to Guelph Lake, the Elora Gorge, Guelph to Goderich rail trail, and a 25-minute drive to St Jacob's farmers market. And a 1.4 km walk to a small country market and bakery. A great site for families that you can call home and plan day trips around the area, or hang out at the campsite. Firewood is available for purchase on-site.
We have 3 campsites that are spread out on 4 acres of grass. 1 site is used for temporary summer trailers, 2 are for camping. Pets are welcome, but keep them on a leash. Please remember to remove all garbage and recycling from campsites, a compost bin is available on site by the garden.
A portable toilet is available from May 15 to the end of thanksgiving weekend in October. And please note that we are located beside an active rail line that is used by the Go Train, VIA Rail and freighters, there are trains that pass throughout the night.
A 2 night stay is required for summer weekends.

Once upon a time this property consisted of an 18 acre apple orchard and a 10 acre Maple Sugar bush with evidence of it scattered about the property. I have owned the property for over 16 years now, and moved here from Toronto about 4 years ago, living in nature has become my life. The property is full of Wild life and history. The 18 acre orchard was turned into a white pine forest about 40 years ago and has recently been thinned out to promote healthy growth. Bee hives have recently become part of the life that exists here. The area is surrounded by a Mennonite community and the Amish are also within a 15 minute drive from here. Very close to rivers for those who love canoeing. 15 minutes from amazing beaches on Lake Huron in both Port Elgin and Southampton. Sauble Beach is less than 30 minutes away. How beautiful! What a lovely walk around and I got some fantastic sunset pics. There was traffic noise (as noted in the listing) which actually helped me sleep haha - I also slept well because I felt very safe. Lovely pond.

This was our first camping experience in many years and we couldn't have asked for a better place to do it! There were a number of campsites available and as it was not too busy there, Darlene allowed us to set up at any site of our choosing. There was running water right at the site, which was such a benefit to us! The washrooms and showers (so spacious!) were well maintained and convenient to use. And the horses were beautiful, it was such a relaxing stay hanging out with the horses and the owners' wonderfully energetic dog. We would definitely come back for another stay! Thank you so much for hosting us!

Perfect little getaway for a couple days, hosts were nice and helpful when we arrived. We brought our grandkids and there was enough to do between canoe, paddle boat, mini playground, and farm animals. Nice spot to relax!

The train wasn't very bothersome, there was plenty of space for my friends and I, not many bugs giving us a hard time, and lots of flat space for us all to have our tents set up. Nothing went wrong, and everything went right! Great spot to stay at!

Beautiful place to stay. When you arrive you are greeted by Darlene and her beautiful very friendly dog Oakley. You are shown where everything is located (bathroom, shower, your site, etc) Everyone is very friendly. Their horses are friendly and coem right up to the gate to greet you. Definitely will be staying here again and highly recommend

Tent camping on Jason’s land was great! it’s very secluded, spacious and scenic. I will say make sure to bring your bug spray you will need it! I think the field and Apple trees attract them. It was nice to relax and watch the stars as long as your ok hearing the train drive by sometimes, it is closer then I thought! I didn’t mind it!

It was a very peaceful spot. We got to meet the horses and did a barn tour. My children got to ride as part of it and loved it. It is very near the beach which was also great on those hot summer days. Darlene who works with Ron was so lovely as well. She has a wonderful pup, Oakley who would greet us each morning.

We went to Horseshoe Overnight to camp this weekend! We had fun staying with them. Darlene and Ron came to greeted us when we came and introduced themselves. The perks staying with them:
1. It is quiet and peaceful, feels like we are the only campers in the site.
2. Nice and roomy shower room and washroom, there is hot and cold water too.
3. It is close to fun amenities around the Norfolk areas and beaches such as Turkey point beach, Port Dover beach and Port Rowan or Long point beach.
4. You can also ride the horse, you can approach Darlene or Ron for arrangements.
Our daughter really had some fun, interacting and riding with horses. It was such a great experience for her as a first timer.
We really recommend for families with children who loves to have fun and interact with horses.
